They perform an acoustic version of the band’s new song “Hurricane.” The first song off their new album, 'To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere,' is about when everything goes to hell right when things seem to be perfect.

Geoffrey Fuller i grew up next to teppei in Irvine Ca. Ive seen these guys from their early hardcore days to this beautiful melodic rick of the new album.

When people complain about how thrice isn't heavy i can't help but feel like they didn't take the time to listen to the album. originally heavy.
Some people can't listen and really hear the lyrics, and just wanna judge by how "head banging" it is.
I get how fans just wanna hear deadbolt. I like their old stuff as much as anyone. But, if you take time to just listen to their albums you can see how much amazing it is.
A lot of the songs on this album are heavy, at least compared to their latest album.

Many who new Tolkien believe that the commentary on the long defeat was also referring to western civilization and christianity fighting the long defeat with hope of christ's return and that final victory in the end.

Kyle O even the new album has drop C. They did a version of hurricane on this same session, sounds like it's standard. On the album hurricane is a full step down, and drop C. I think...

Should have turned the guitars up a bit
I miss Dustins voice from around 2000. So crisp and aggressive. Now it sounds a little run down
I used to LOVE these guys. They used to have edge. The music isn't bad now, it's just not as grabbing and distinctive as it once was. I need to hear them play electric. Maybe the songs sound different, I haven't gone to listen intently yet.

I love thrice, just to clarify. It's just not what made me love them for so long.
Try "Blood in the Sand"---it's pretty raw emotion to modern day life in the USA.
I do understand what you mean but as time goes ahead I feel their balance as musicians has increased and so has their ability to stay true to their craft. I know it's not phoenix ignition or wake and avenge the dead but it's still very beautiful music.
Rob Zahorodny It doesn't mean I don't miss the good old days that made me love them in the first place. They had such an original sound already. Artist in the ambulance was a perfect blend of their musical side and the energy side.

Moderately Heavy? Damn, I heard The Arsonist live a few weeks ago and it was brutal!
The new album still has its heavy moments. It leans on their experimental side but they still play the heavier material.
This album has its softer and heavier moments, but not heavy like you would find on The Artist in the Ambulance. So are they making music like that anymore? Not necessarily. Are they playing music like that still? You bet. They played several older, heavy songs at a show I attended in September.
Blood in the Sand and death from above are both fairly heavy
