I can’t explain how immensely helpful this tutorial was. I find I’m very good at following “verbal” tutorials, however I’ve never felt like I’ve learned to paint on my “own”. This video allowed me to have guidance, yet also gave me permission to slow down, “feel” what I’m doing and use some of my own intuition. The music was also wonderfully calming. Thank you so much!!!

JANE! This is so wonderful. I love muted, moody colour palates. You are a master at that. I am going to do this one just for me and change up the mixes. You are teaching me to go ahead without a PLAN! This is a big lesson for me because I am a terminal.procrastinator, trying to break out!
its interesting though... sometimes when you dont really know what you're going to paint, and you start kinda scribbling with the brush here and there, things start to appear and takes you in a different direction at times. that's why painting is so cool.
You should film these videos more often. So moody and relaxing. The music reminds me of the show The Last Alaskans. The little wisp of smoke in front of the canvas is a nice touch very meditative. Better than Bob Ross as a sleep aide!

Poor Mr. Moon, he just wants to be acknowledged! My husband taught my girl "Miss Wanda Kitty" to drink from a water faucet. Kitchen or bathroom, she is very demanding! She also has also learned to "control" our rottie/boxer/lab mix dog! Please make sure Mr. Moon makes an appearance in your videos, he may sound demanding but, deep down supportive!

Thank you 💛 All of the colors I used are in the video description. As for what color specifically and where... I don't really remember. With regards to the paint spreading smoothly, that's all due to the matte medium! I'm actually recording another video of a very similar painting with the same color palette. That one will have instruction, so be on the lookout for that! 💛
This is the only one with no instruction. I explained at the beginning that it was a practice video for getting back into recording. All of my others have instruction 😊
Jane quick question not regarding this painting but I wanted to ask instead of wetting the back of the canvas with water to increase dry time and I use slow dry medium to increase my blending time ? Thanks Judi
@@PaintingwithJane great I’m doing one of your sunset paintings where you were the back of the canvas so I did the first process wetting the back of the canvas as you did - now moving forward I’m going to try with the slow dry blending gel medium you suggested in your acrylic wet on wet tutorial 🤗 once completed I will post a pic - wish me luck lol

Yes, you absolutely can! I think using a medium will maintain the integrity of the binder in the paint better than water.

I use it in place of water. So instead of dipping my brush in water, I dip it in the medium. I hope that helps!

It's primarily the Titan Green Pale, but white with a little bit of the sky colors would work just fine!
