My view on religion is simple. If you use it to make yourself a better person, go for it. Do the best you can with your life and may whatever you believe in bless you. If you use it to be better than someone else, you're missing the point and eventually you are going to find the trouble you're looking for.
I don’t think many people’s goals or systems are made for you to become better than another person but to become the best you can possibly be. There is nothing wrong with excelling at something if it’s accompanied with humility.

When I was straight out of high school I found something in the newspaper about a personality test so I took it, mailed it and was told to visit their office to get my results one day . So I go everything looks super official and tidy. Guy hands me my results, says a bunch of negative things about me and tells me "dianetics can help" as soon as i heard him say that without even knowing what scientology was at the time the hairs on my back stood up and i just told myself to get out, whatever you do just get out. I told him thank but I have to go and i just left.
GOOD for you. You have a strong constitution. They had me for about 5 years or so, but fortunately, I FINALLY woke UP.

Ages ago, I was at this county fair type thing. At one of the booths, I quickly realized it was being run by Scientology people. I wanted to scream warningto the other people at the fair to not go this particular booth
$cientology often operate a stall at a local flea market here in Melbourne Australia. I actually did stand there and warn people of their real purpose. The brainwashed whack jobs there started to video me on their mobile phones, but I kept at it for at least 90 minutes. Fun times for all.

It costs a fortune. The problem with false faiths is they demand alot from our worldly thinking and aspirations. True spirituality requires us to be lead in spirit and think and act with our souls. The soul is us, its a entity which is eternally breathed by God and originates with the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the body, he created the body from dust. God the Father gave us an eternal soul, and The Holy Spirit breathed the spirit into us. Its safe to say that if God is triune and we are triune, then it makes sense for the godhead to be fully involved in creation. I believe that we must be led by the Spirit, because this is the only way we will see eternal life and connection to god.
