So let's see - it's not pets, runes, or skill stones since they don't sell for max - so you're talking about some regular gems, and possibly terror essence (not that since that's capped at about 4K per week). So you're talking about selling primarily blue, and some yellow gems - in which case you're literally sabotaging/bricking your own account lol. At a certain point it's no longer realistic to upgrade legendary gems at all, and your focus shifts to normal gems. Secondary attributes are everything. You can be low res. and absolutely demolish your opponents of higher res. if your secondaries are nice. I can't think of a worse thing to do than to sell sapphires and aqua's for some platinum scraps to buy an ultimately meaningless dupe for a lego upgrade haha. Do you wonder why regular gems haven't been impacted by the server merges, by Susan, etc.? Because they hold true value unlike legendary gems where at some point upgrades aren't possible, and small resonance jumps are useless anyway. Folks.. take some alternate advice and don't sell your blues for chump change. Or do, and watch them be consumed by the true power players, and I don't just mean whales.
THIS!!! Secondaries are key, I fully regret selling the (not-so-many) normal gems that I did when I first started. You do not want to be high reso with shit secondaries, but can do very well with lower reso and decent secondaries. I am just shy of 3k reso with secondaries just shy of 4k, and can dance with folks double my reso no problem. DO NOT SELL YOUR NORMAL GEMS.

the devs just need to give their player base more ways to accumulate platinum, no one will want to spend their platinum (which is already difficult to make) on things in the market that they cannot sell themselves. i usually do not like to present game issues without some form of solution, so one way they can help the community do so is to allow us to convert our useless gold into platinum or introduce a feature where a percentage of platinum can be rewarded while grinding the game whether that be bounties, dungeons, or elder rifts. 300 platinum daily is not enough to incentivize hard working people to log into the game imo. once the community can generate platinum more expansively, the market will begin to reconstruct.
normal gems are only going for 150 to 200 now, if they even sell! Skill stones don't sell, runes don't sell, pets don't sell, so please enlighten us as to what your great secret is. I call bull on that, there is nothing selling for max plat, and if you can't make plat you can't take advantage of the great deals, which in turn makes the market a complete joke!

The market is broken. There is no way to generate plat because of the undercutting. The reason is that there is lower demand is because there are not enough people earning plat or willing to buy orbs to convert to plat. If they fixed the conversion rate people would start buying.

The rest are half their previous value, and rubies I could sell for 150 plat now won't sell at all even at the 100 plat minimum.
I actually would like to have a conversation with you about this. I really have to disagree, but I think that there are some points that you're not well informed on. They might give you some insight as to why many of us think the market is broken. It is not broken for everyone. It caters right now to free to play and low spenders because they typically make their Platinum through selling normal gems, runes, skill Stones, occasional legendary gems etc.. making Platinum has not changed for them. Where it has changed is for the people who are spending more. We are the ones running rifts, selling gems, and trying to buy the normals, runes, etc. for us, it no longer makes sense to run those rifts because the Platinum that we're getting is insubstantial. It makes more sense at this point to buy platinum outright with orbs. It may be a buyer's market right now, but ultimately it's not sustainable even for the lower folks because eventually those gems are going to run out. There are also some other things that I will not post here, but we'll talk to you about in private in terms of why you're seeing such low numbers.on the legendary gems. Tldr: it's not broken for everyone but definitely broken for the higher spenders.
As a spender I love the present market. I just buy orbs and convert to plat, it's amazing. The only thing Blizz needs to be mindful of is the lack of incentive to run crests, this will eventually lead to a supply side issue. No doubt Blizz will introduce drop rate tables or something to re incentivise crest runs

pet market is equally dead..eg. i got a pet with 3 legend 2 rare and the lowest price i can put is 210k+ and cant even sell. Nobody has that much extra plat to buy pets anymore
Devs can implement a direct sell for plat to bypass the market. Something like you can sell any gem for plat for 500plat per gem power. This would maybe get Susan out of the market and let the market supply and demand work itself out.

The market is dead and impossible for f2p to make any platinum to buy gem power. Everything is super cheap for you mid to high spenders that can buy plat/orbs but literally can't make a profit as a f2p
The only items on the market that you can make a ROI is familiars, and they don't sell for max or fast. Runes aren't even farmable enough to actually make a decent amount of platinum, and ROI is so small, not even worth it. Can't even make platinum on skill stones they go for under 1k platinum. When i need platinum for 5* dups. I just sell rank5 normal gems, usually get a small ROI and ppl wanna lvl gems fast and dont have time to farm so they buy it.
You're destroying your account if you're selling regular gems, later on they became more valuable than even legendary gems when there's nothing left to reasonably upgrade. Secondary stats are everything

I guess it depends on your current resonance, but if you're anywhere in the mid-4K's and up, you need to focus on regular gems too.

In the next few weeks I should have enough to make a rank 8 tour, rank 7 tour and my 3rd rank 7 sapphire. Normal gems pre much go for under 200 platinum on my server cluster, so that's under 150k pre rank 7.

I'm playing from SEA and I cannot make any platinum. The gems are selling for 100, with the exception of sapphire and aquamarine which are slightly higher. Rubies literally don't sell AT ALL. 1* legendary gems are around 480. Skill stones are on the market for LESS than they cost to CREATE... Dunno about your particular server, but it is really bad over here.
It's not supply and demand, not when there only 2 BSJ listed an they are posted 15k. It's not like other markets at all : 1. there is infinite supply from Susan, 2. You can only buy lowest price, 3. You can only list at -50% +100%. Most players can't list their item because even at +100% the price would be unacceptable. Once everyone has spent all their money on these ridiculous prices, they won't be able to make any plat. Who's selling at dirt cheap ? It's Susan, so that's where everyone's plat is going. Which means in the end the only players who will profit are the cheaters that buy from Susan.
What a joke, price is getting lower and lower and its really broken due to susanexpress... So many dummies running elder rifts, i once partied with them once but got kicked out on there second run. You say that it benefits you because you do not have the need to make alters and also all your platinum is from reselling your gems and even with the amount of legendary gems that are on the market you will not get the real value.

This is the best market for a F2P then we have ever had in Diablo Immortal you can sell you normal gems and runes for max plat, utility pets are still selling for decent plat and then you can take that plat and buy really nice 5 star gems for dirt cheap. Hey misery. I watch all your vids but never had time to respond till now. You are absolutely right! I trade stocks on the stock market and I can see clearly that this is a recession inside diablo immortal. Everything is connected and the fear drives down the price of all these amazing lego gems. Recessions don't last forever and one day, people will be talking about what an amazing opportunity the DI recession was. But right now it's hard to see for these players. I'm absolutely enjoying the market right now as I saved up a ton of plat months ago when the market was expensive. As a low spender, this is a huge opportunity. Thanks for all the great content.
Yeah I agree everything is cheaper, on my server only leg gems are selling nothing else I had normal gems up for weeks that didn't sell, only way to make Plat is the daily quests, we have a ton of whales but they aren't buying alot of stuff atm, I went from making 20k+ Plat a week to barely 4k plat

The market is a buyers market. It's not dead. No doubt people held on to some gems to flood the market post merger. Like you said people want to sell their gems and will undercut to make the sale. I can find a stupid video where auto pricing can make prices go crazy. It will normalize
As mentioned in the video, just because the item you are trying to sell isn't selling at the same price it did originally, doesnt mean the market is dead. It just means the market for that item is chaning. Also like I mentioned in the video... there are several other items outside of gems that are selling for max plat. I have made more plat from this "dead market" than i did off selling legendary gems.
so you can get a gem you want rather than a random one. its better for people that are trying to upgrade their gems. but if you dont care what gems you get, its better to run crests.

Hey misery. I watch all your vids but never had time to respond till now. You are absolutely right! I trade stocks on the stock market and I can see clearly that this is a recession inside diablo immortal. Everything is connected and the fear drives down the price of all these amazing lego gems. Recessions don't last forever and one day, people will be talking about what an amazing opportunity the DI recession was. But right now it's hard to see for these players. I'm absolutely enjoying the market right now as I saved up a ton of plat months ago when the market was expensive. As a low spender, this is a huge opportunity. Thanks for all the great content.
Yeah I agree everything is cheaper, on my server only leg gems are selling nothing else I had normal gems up for weeks that didn't sell, only way to make Plat is the daily quests, we have a ton of whales but they aren't buying alot of stuff atm, I went from making 20k+ Plat a week to barely 4k plat

Market is dependent on those who participate, hard to accurately sum it but can be reasonably predict. It will stabalize. People are just antsy to have things now than later thats reason for undercutting.

you can make platinum by selling literally anything other than legendary gems... and then use the plat to buy those cheaper legendary gems.
@@MiseryHatesCompany Sorry but i have to somehow dissagree.On my server all sellable normal gems goes for 100 plat except aquamarines and sapphires which goes from the range 160 to 200 .What we have else terror rift essence we can sell for amazing 400 plat ,runes which are a joke non droppable and the gray ones bcs the blue are a mirage atleast for me from 100-300 plat max .Pets goes for 500 plat the and the legendaries who have saviour for example foes for 20 k which is dirty cheap however people do not get PLAT to buy them .As for the 5* star yes they are cheap and same sitiation no plat to buy .And last but not least will tell you that as low spender when i get some 5* which i can sell the market makes me to drop the prices and get miserable plat for it because this is the reality now.Please tell me where i am wrong to start make 15-20 k weekly as i was doing before the recent updates :) And thank you for replying so fast Buddy .Cheers !
The market is a buyers market. It's not dead. No doubt people held on to some gems to flood the market post merger.
Like you said people want to sell their gems and will undercut to make the sale. I can find a stupid video where auto pricing can make prices go crazy. It will normalize
Yeah, its cheaper to buy leg gem right now if you spend alot to buy orb. For small medium spender is difference case.

As mentioned in the video, just because the item you are trying to sell isn't selling at the same price it did originally, doesnt mean the market is dead. It just means the market for that item is chaning. Also like I mentioned in the video... there are several other items outside of gems that are selling for max plat. I have made more plat from this "dead market" than i did off selling legendary gems.
When no one buys crests anymore there will be less legendary gems on the market for sale, and the prices will go back up.

so you can get a gem you want rather than a random one. its better for people that are trying to upgrade their gems. but if you dont care what gems you get, its better to run crests.
