Wonder what truly gets in the way of releasing tracks like this. What’s the goal of being an artist right? Is it to create an image/reputation, or to help others feel what they need to feel. There are clearly thousands if not millions of people that would love this track officially released and it would objectively have a positive impact on them. Shouldn’t that be the goal? If not officially released to your profile, maybe have another platform to send this to. I don’t see the harm in at least allowing the people that resonate with it to find it and do their thing with it. 🤷♂️
Expanding on that, whether it is corporate reasons with your releases being controlled or just a lack of confidence in a track, maybe a hesitancy from a belief many people might not like it and change their view of them… whatever it is, goes against the spirit of music. It is not to be held hostage by label or artist, for monetary of egoistic purposes. It is to be shared.
