Thanks. This was really useful for my model year 2019 Volvo XC60 T5 Inscription (UK model, made in Sweden). I have the 320mm rear discs/rotors and your tip about the 7mm Allen key (i.e. hex) was spot on. The brake pad kit for the rear brakes was Volvo part 32379535 (this may change by model year I guess - Volvo don't want to share part number info). 302mm/ discs uses a different brake pad - possibly kit 32287430. I didn't separate the electronic parking brake. I used a OBD2 to ethernet cable to my PC and VDASH software to put the brakes into service mode. It worked really well and meant I didn't risk damaging a seal. Thanks again
Thanks very much for the kind words. This video is an unusual one for me in the context of the rest of my channel, but I thought it might help someone at least shortcut a bit of troubleshooting. By coincidence I’m planning to do the front pads this month, and hopefully that goes smoothly, without the emergency brake in the way. Thanks again - I really appreciate the comment.
