Camped here around 2000. Not sure what time of year but it was a fantastic experience. Nearest farm was well behind but we had friends within the hour. They quickly realised we were British and offered to provide us with and chips which was a welcome treat , especially in such a fantastic mountain region.
Happy that Viv is back! I would be very interested in a video in how you guys prepare/train/plan for project like a dufourspitze or a mountain like this. How often you cardio?? Stuff like that! Also very interested in what kind of equipment you guys bring to a trip. I’m planning for a trip myself to the grossglockner, and I would love to know some tips and tricks for packing the right gear and necessary stuff. Maybe a cool idea for a video :). Looking forward to the next video from my favourite mountaineers!
Hey, thanks for the comment and the feedback! Those are great ideas. We went for a walk and talked about it and we're thinking we'll do more B stories in videos like Pico Austria (where the climbing isn't crazy) and add more insight into all of the above. If you check out the Monte Rosa video in the video description you'll find our Alps gear list :)
Last year I went to this camp, went up Austria Peek and the next day went to Tarija and Pequeno Alpamayo but ended up bailing a little after Tarija summit due to altitude sickness, I still really hope to go back there someday
Great to see Viv back to join you, Cris. Great scenery from an area unknown to most of us. Looking forward to the next adventures which enhance my Sunday viewing.
Great to see Viv and yourself back in the mountains 🏔️ and what a mountain it was 🏔️👌🏻Bolivia 🇧🇴
