I've bought 2 seperate burt cuttings from you last year. I combined and after months of nothing....the finally started growing. Love the dark purple baby leaves.
Oh gosh Jaclynn Liz gave you so many awesome Hoya cuttings and you are so good at propagating all of them. I am now happy that it is finally warm where I live and you wanted me to remind you in the spring when it was warm so you could send me the Hoya chelsea cuttings and you also said this other plant called Sarah Pagia Sanders Sonica, I will be so happy to get those plants or whatever you want to send me, I love seeing these videos and also seeing David. I am wishing you both a blessed rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🤗🥰😻💜💜💜
Jacki you are so beautiful!! You must stop putting yourself down,💗. Thanks for a very informative video. I just repotted a Krimson Queen and broke a piece off. Now I know how to try and root it! I couldn't bear to just toss it!!😂❤
15:54 My thoughts exactly ok why I won’t want to put the Hoya in water. Sphag def help them grow more soil like roots. Sounds like we have very similar growing preferences. Enjoyed your video. Thanks🤗🪴🤗🪴
I find plain perlite works best. Moss leaves room for fungi when left on the roots, and it puts stress on the plant when moss clinging to the roots are forcibly removed. Perlite clinging to the tender young roots gets planted with the cutting.😅
This is what I use. I just started getting into Hoyas. I use a small plastic bin and make it a prop box. I have an irina and Nova cutting in there right now and they are making roots! I was so terrified I was going to rot it.
I bought a bag of Fluval Stratum on clearance. I have a couple of Hoya cuttings that are slow to root. Did it work for you? Have always wanted to try it to see if it works for me.
I love propagating with stratum! I use a clear plastic cup with perlite filling 1/4 of the cup, stratum on top with the cutting. I fill my reservoir with water just covering the perlite part. I do run water over the cup once in a while to keep the stratum moist. Don't let it dry out! Fb also has a group with helpful info. Hope it helps!
The cutting looks like it might be a sipitangensis. It sunstresses a beautiful deep maroon but without the contrasting veining of a Rebecca or obscura. So I guess you’ll know for sure after it’s got some light!
Hi! I’m just now finding you 🤩…and am definitely going to follow on ig and all the things. I’m curious how moist you keep these cups. I plan on doing this and keeping them in the my Ikea greenhouse. So I guess my question is around watering or how moist I should keep them. Thanks in advance for your time 😊
I'd reccomend the Hoya sp aff burtoniae for something easy going that blooms a lot!! I have a video on easy bloomers as well in my Hoya Care Tips playlist ☺️
You CAN! Sphagnum moss, and humidity, and tiny. I wet the moss and squeeze it out, put it in a container with a lid, sometimes with holes, sometimes not, and I let it go, like for a month, lol they will do their thing they just are so easy to crash and burn. I had propagated a bunch of SOP and I finally brought myself to plant it into soil and the next day it got so hot out it scorched the entire plant and it died. Literally 2 months of propagating and new growth galore, now literally there’s nothing salvageable 😅

Missed you Jac. Life happened and is still happening so I’m slowly coming back to my plants & peeps and peace it gave me.💛
I loved hoyas before, but now I'm itching to get some more!!!
Do it!! ☺️

Perfect timing because I received a chicken farm and a kentiana varigated 🎉🎉🎉 Hi David!
Love chicken farm!
Do you have a link for the bigger clear pots you used?
I'm propagating my first 2 hoya cuttings and so nervous 😓 also I need to find friends with plants 😅 that is so generous
Me too when you pay 1250 for a rare hoya madara I'm so scared
Love your videos, very helpful

Perfect timing for this video! Just received some plants from an Etsy seller and they had no roots 😢 going to try and re-root!
Hate when that happens! But you've got this!! ☺️
I find plain perlite works best. Moss leaves room for fungi when left on the roots, and it puts stress on the plant when moss clinging to the roots are forcibly removed. Perlite clinging to the tender young roots gets planted with the cutting.😅
Plain perlite works great for most plants! 👍🏻

Is ok to use fluval for rooting?
What do you do with the extra mixture if you don’t use it right away? Can you store it?
Yes! I use a painting bucket from Lowes to store excess soil moss/perlite goes in a plastic bag!
I bought a bag of Fluval Stratum on clearance. I have a couple of Hoya cuttings that are slow to root.
Did it work for you?
Have always wanted to try it to see if it works for me.
Those are very nice cuttings Liz gave you🤩

Thanks for the tips! I haven't had success with it bc I always let it dry out too much 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Always love watching you. You and David are cute
Aww thank you ☺️
I’m excited to report I got a Hoya and it’s thriving lol 😆
Yay!! ☺️
The cutting looks like it might be a sipitangensis. It sunstresses a beautiful deep maroon but without the contrasting veining of a Rebecca or obscura. So I guess you’ll know for sure after it’s got some light!
It totally is!! I was able to ask Liz today 😂
Hey where did u get the clips for trellis
Thanks
They're small hair clips! You can find them on Amazon or in garden centers if you want decorative ones
🤗♥️💚💜💙Hugs adorable plant fam duo. 🌱🌿🪴💦🌞Happy Hoya propagating.
🥰🥰
I will DM you my favorite moss! So fluffy and *barely* any sticks!
I've found nicer ones, just never in a large enough amount for a reasonable price!! I use a lot of moss lol
Share with the rest of the class 😂
😅😅

I'm happy to have you here! ☺️
I keep them damp, I think would be the best way to describe it. Don't want them to be soaked or they'll rot!
Where did you get the plant tower behind you?
I'm not sure what you mean
Can you plant it with out roots
Sure you can, but I don't recommend it.
I have my hoya polyneura in pon. It grows like crazy. Maybe you can try it?
Maybe one day! For now I just try to keep it well watered in soil 😊
How do you have a million plants and still have nice nails? Mine are usually raggedy with dirt under them. 😂
Who knows lol, these things have gotten out of control and need to be cut 😂
Well, they're impressively out of control. 😁
Good information
I'm glad you think so ☺️
You’re making me want to get a hoya now 😅
That's been my plan all along 😈
@@jaclynns.jungle lol sneaky 😅 now I am curious which one blooms easily? Because I can only have one atm
I'd reccomend the Hoya sp aff burtoniae for something easy going that blooms a lot!! I have a video on easy bloomers as well in my Hoya Care Tips playlist ☺️
@@jaclynns.jungle thank you I will check it out 😁
My sp aff burtoniae is blooming now😁 My first hoya bloom! I'm only a season in on my hoyas😜 Got my cuttings from @Jaclynn's jungle. I love it so much!
Where exactly do you know where to cut the Hoya ?
Anywhere!! Hoya only need one node to grow, they will produce roots from any part of the stem!!
wow, those aren't cuttings, those are huge plants already. LOL. 👍
They're ready for a repot now! 😊👍🏻
Oh my goodness you guys are so stinking cute 😅
It's so gross 😂
❤️
I cant propagate any of my hoya or SOH/SOP it’s so sad
Keep trying!! I believe in you!!

That hoya kind of looks like hoya Sipitangensis
that's because it is! 😊
Ola
Hii ☺️
that looks like a lipstick plant
It's a Hoya but I've forgotten its name again haha! It's labeled now though ☺️
