Before A'TIN was announced on November 2, 2019, there was an unofficial fandom name called "AURUM" the Latin word for gold and the source of its chemical symbol, "Au". Aurum is not a fandom name but a group of people supporting SB19. Before SB19s debut, Aurum already existed. It was misunderstood by fans so Aurum was spread and called as SB19's fandom name. ☆Meaning behind our "A'TIN". A'TIN "There's no 19 if there's no 18" ATIN means ours. AURUM'sb9TIN There is an apostrophe ( ' ) after "A" in A'TIN. Sejun said that Aurum will never die and it will be forever in their hearts so they put an apostrophe after A remarking Aurum in A'TIN. The meaningful AURUM is still part of our fandom name and A'TIN without AURUM is actually nothing. A'TIN becomes more meaningful because of AURUM. That is how thankful our SB19 is. They know how to look back where they started and humbleness in them never fade. And I am proud to be part of "A'TIN with AURUM" or "A'TIN without S"
SB19 was formed by ShowBT Philippines, the Philippine subsidiary of ShowBT Group in Korea, after the five members were selected out of hundreds of aspiring idols during a talent audition in 2016 and underwent the same type of training provided to K-pop idols, attending classes ranging from voice and dance to personality development and body conditioning. The group debuted on October 26, 2018, with their first single, "Tilaluha". Their initial effort at promotions, mostly in schools and malls, was met with a lukewarm reception. 2019-present: Mainstream breakthrough SB19 performing at Lazada 11.11 Supershow in Sofitel Harbour Tent on November 11, 2019. Their second single, "Go Up", was released on July 26, 2019. The group began gaining attention after uploading their dance practice video for the song to their UA-cam channel, which became a viral sensation on Twitter and Facebook after it was shared on the social media platform by a Filipino K-pop fan. This paved the way for the group's appearance in various radio and television shows as well as coverage from different local and international media outlets. On November 20, 2019, SB19 became the first Filipino act to appear on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart. They also became the first Filipino act to enter the Billboard Social 50, debuting at no. 28 on the week of December 28, 2019 and ascending over the following months. Jeff Benjamin, writing for Billboard, noted that their rise in the chart was aided by a growing international fanbase, and remarked that it was an indication that "more artists [will] continue to look East for inspiration and a larger audience". SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band who debuted in 2018 and consists of Josh, Sejun, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They are the first Filipino act trained by a Korean entertainment company to debut in the Philippines. They are also the first Southeast Asian act to enter the top 10 of Billboard Social 50 as well as the first Filipino group to chart on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart. they were trained under a korean company through kpop training system but they were trained in the Philippines ....thanks for reacting to them...God bless!
This Korean company is based in the Philippines so the boys auditioned and trained in the Philippines and not in Korea. Idol groups are not as common in the Philippines and singers their don't go through the kind of training that idols do in Korea. It is very common in Korea to train, from a young age, for years before you debut - ranging from months to 7-8years and some don't even get to debut at all. SB19 debuted in 2018 with a ballad, Tilaluha, but it didn't get much attention at all. They gave it one last try with the upbeat dance song, Go Up, deciding then that they were gonna split up afterwards no matter what happens, but after their dance practice video was uploaded on youtube (2 months after the MV release), it went viral overnight on twitter and the rest is history. This video was when they just started getting famous. They have acted in their own short story/movie and also please check out their ballads! Looking forward to seeing more of them from you! 💙
Trained in the Philippines. Justin is still studying when he started his training. The same goes with Sejun, he struggled working while training so he needed to give up his work to focus on the training.
I just also wanna add that they also do their hair and make up and usually style themselves but they also now have a stylist for special events. They are also learning to make their own music (beats and all). They are basically very hands on and involved in the overall production of whatever project they are in. I'm just so proud of my babies 🤧
Yes they are under a korean company. Their company branch out in Philippines and SB19 were train not in korea but in Philippines. They only visit korea for festival performances. Thanks for reacting to them. Hope you’ll check out their latest “IKAKO” performance on wish 107.5 The song is dedicated to frontliners and to all people. It’s a meaningful and uplifting song written by the leader Sejun when they were on quarantine during lockdown in Manila.
Thank you for reacting to SB19 again. Please check their harmonization, Wish 107.5 live performance of ALAB and 'Bakit ba ikaw' at MYX live performance. thank you again
'' TILALUHA'' IS THERE DEBUT SONG, IT'S UNFORTUNATE THAT THEY DIDN'T GAIN SO MUCH OF ATTENTION FOR THEIR 1ST RELEASE SONG 2 YRS. AGO. THEY ALMOST GAVE UP AND LOSE HOPE AT THAT TIME AND DECIDED TO MAKE THE SONG' 'GO UP' ' LUCKILY PEOPLE NOTICE THEM AND GO UP IS LIKE THEIR REDEMPTION SONG THAT LEAD THEM TO FAME. PLEASE CHECK & REACT TO THEIR SONG"TILALUHA ON WISHBUS 107.5..THANK YOU!💙

Just a small fact, they trained here in the philippines and they promote Ppop and they wrote all their song, they choreograph they do their makeup as well, they dont know autotune, they hate lipsync.. every live performance is masterpiece! 👆❤️🙏
in order to appreciate them more...you have to wath their LIVE performance videos...and when you get to know their personality theres no getting out..im hooked..
yes they do a lot of things aside from writing their own lyrics and choreograph dances. Justin wrote and directed the Hanggang Sa Huli mv. Sejun does the music arrangement of their performances and covers. they do their own make-up and style except now during on special occasions they hire stylists and make-up artists.
Ladies, thank you for reacting to SB19. I appreciate the attention to detail you guys are putting into your reactions - the whys, the hows. It shows you are genuinely interested in getting to know SB19 better. Thank you for that. As for the question by the interviewer about how they are different from other PPOP groups - well, that boils down to making comparisons, isn't it? The boys of SB19 stay away from such comparisons because they respect and love other Filipino music artists. In fact, one of their goals is to promote Original Pilipino Music (OPM) to a global audience. So on that note, they are not trying to be KPOP idols. They're Pilipino music artists who received the Korean idol training from a Korean entertainment agency. They're PPOP. If you decide to react to their old videos when they were just starting, you'll definitely see the Korean idol training more obviously, but as you continue to watch their recent videos you'll notice that they've successfully blended their Korean training influences and their Pilipino talents into who they are now. Thanks again and have a nice day!😊
For the ballads, you can watch "Tilaluha" (debut song), Hanggang Sa Huli (latest song), and "Bakit Ba Ikaw?" (a cover). You can also add "ikako" a song written and composed by Sejun (the leader) for all the frontliners who are fighting against COVID-19.
They did came from a Korean Company and was trained using the Korean System which what known as how popular K-pop idols were trained. But they actually was mostly trained in the Philippines. From the boys stories, they were trained basic foundations in dancing but it's their vocal teacher who stayed with them because she was actually similarly a performer in the Philippines. Since the Teachers are Korean, they were thought to speak Korean to communicate with them being the visitors coz that's how Filipinos are. The Company was originally an events coordinator and casted wannabe performers in the Philippines that's why if you look at earlier videos of the boys they were with girl trainees. Then ended up debuting them on the same pattern they use in Korea. They also did events in Korea for their Company. Hope that's an info.

Korea flight is 2 hours & 45 minutes to the Philippines which is close to Taiwan. Japan & Korea are right above Taiwan so not too far. Neighboring East Asian countries work together in the industry like MNL48 with AKB48 etc.
They perform better live. Please watch more of their performances. I recommend the BYE 2020 and UA-cam Fanfest Performances. You can find these on SB19 Official YT channel. Thank you girls!!
Interesting curiosity on your part: why would a Korean company think of forming talents in the Philippines? This question is best answered by 'Tatang Robin'. There could be numerous considerations, one of which is the mine of talents in the country, potential market not only in the country but worldwide, what else do you think?

🔸SB19 Racism Controversy
Fame usually comes along with controversies and SB19 is no exemption.
The P-pop group was accused as a racist back in December 2019 following a Twitter post about their concert at Negros Occidental in the Visayas region.
“Hello, Negros! We are now in your zone! Excited na kami sa mga mangyayari sa aming first stop for our nationwide tour #SB19inNegros #SB19 #SB19_JOSH #SB19_SEJUN #SB19_STELL #SB19_KEN #SB19_JUSTIN,”
The supposed promotional tweet ignited confusion to those unfamiliar with the province and branded it as a racist remark. And although, fans were quick to clarify that ‘Negros’ is a place in the Philippines and the five guys mean no harm - the ‘racism’ controversy made it to the Asian Boss.

they were trained under a korean company through kpop training system but they were trained in the Philippines ....thanks for reacting to them...God bless!
Oh thank you for reacting to them,, please can you react more of them,, thank you really much

Yes MORE #SB19 ppop kings reactions
SB19 was formed by ShowBT Philippines, the Philippine subsidiary of ShowBT Group in Korea, after the five members were selected out of hundreds of aspiring idols during a talent audition in 2016 and underwent the same type of training provided to K-pop idols, attending classes ranging from voice and dance to personality development and body conditioning.
The group debuted on October 26, 2018, with their first single, "Tilaluha". Their initial effort at promotions, mostly in schools and malls, was met with a lukewarm reception.
2019-present: Mainstream breakthrough
SB19 performing at Lazada 11.11 Supershow in Sofitel Harbour Tent on November 11, 2019.
Despite the apparent K-pop influence, SB19 promotes its music as part of Pinoy pop (P-pop), a popular sub-genre of original Filipino music.
Origin: Metro Manila (2018)
Record label: Sony Music Philippines, Inc.
Albums: Get in the Zone
Awards: Awit Award for People's Voice Favorite Breakthrough Artist & more.

They are trained here in the Philippines, their korean agency branch out here in the PH. That's when they auditioned to the company.
yes they do a lot of things aside from writing their own lyrics and choreograph dances.

Thanks again and have a nice day!😊
No they're trained HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭. BTW thank you so much for reacting to SB19 💙😁. Keep safe ladies. More power to your channel 😊
New sub here thank you for Reacting SB19
they know basic korean because their bosses are korean and also they work with other korean people.
#SB19
They didn't trained in Korea. They trained here in the Philippines, when their Korean Company branched here in the Philippines which is ShowBT.

Awwww 🤧
Before A'TIN was announced on November 2, 2019, there was an unofficial fandom name called "AURUM" the Latin word for gold and the source of its chemical symbol, "Au".
Aurum is not a fandom name but a group of people supporting SB19. Before SB19s debut, Aurum already existed. It was misunderstood by fans so Aurum was spread and called as SB19's fandom name.
☆Meaning behind our "A'TIN".
A'TIN "There's no 19 if there's no 18" ATIN means ours. AURUM'sb9TIN
There is an apostrophe ( ' ) after "A" in A'TIN.
