Hi, this channel will not currently cover long-distance cycling routes, which are well-documented by many cyclist UA-camrs by now. The main focus of the video series is the not as well-known cycling path network within the various LTA cycling towns which you can use to move around a neighbourhood.
Hey I'm planning to cycle to work. My office is in Orchard area and i live in bukit panjang , what are some routes that I can take without cycling on the road?
This is going to be tricky as there isn’t really much direct inter town cycling infrastructure at the moment. But based on my limited experience in inter-town cycling over the years, there are 2 somewhat useable ways using mostly footpaths: 1) Upper Bukit Timah Road* → Bukit Timah Road (South side) → Stevens Road 2) Upper Bukit Timah Road* → Rail Corridor (Beauty World → Buona Vista) → Commonwealth Avenue (North side between Buona Vista → Queenstown) → Alexandra Canal Linear Park → Tanglin Road I would avoid Holland & Clementi Roads as they are more hilly. Feel free to let us know which way is faster! *West side footpath from Bukit Panjang till Hume Avenue, then cross over to the east. You can also use the Rail Corridor but depending on your bike, that stretch will be a bumpy ride.
Hi, I believe there is no need for me to make such videos because they would have been covered by other UA-camrs in the cycling community by now. While I will occasionally use the NParks park connectors where it contributes to the cycling network, the Cycling Tours video series will mainly focus the complicated web of LTA cycling paths throughout the many cycling towns, because there is very few videos about their current state on UA-cam at the moment.
With each LRT station breaking the bike and footpath together, I further firmly believe the LRT should be demolished for actual grade-level trams or BRT.
Excellent pacing on the commentary!
omfg bukitpanjang
What about the East Coast Park-Changi Airport trail?

they could turn the tracks into some sort of cycling viaduct
