    24V DC - still OK
    100V DC - Not OK

    Wow handled over twice their rated voltage before they started to fail!! INSANE!!!! Most of the fans ive tried fail about at 15 to 18v.
    on fan ive got handles up to 20v though.. inside a 12v to 120v AC power inverter.. Probably selected just for the purpose so it can handle a wide voltage range.

    What is the purpose of this? You ran the fans beyond their specified voltages and allowed them to fail until there was only one. How does that determine which fan is best? Seems to me operating them within specs for a long period of time is more or a test. Measuring the rotational speed, current draw and heat.

    • @valveman12
      @valveman12 8 років тому

      Will S. No but if you know what you are doing, you can measure the parameters such as heat, and current draw and get an idea of condition and an indication of reliability.

    Sucking? Blowing? Where does the air come from or where is it going? You gotta have some space between the fan and the object it is cooling so the new air that is cooling the object can flow and replace the air that is warmed up.
