Petition for Disney to have the Haunted Mansion look like this at night all the time.
Seriously the best comment suggestion on UA-cam.
It looked so cool!
Troy Lake I’ll sign it.
Where do I sign?
Oh YES PLEASE
They got alive actors again *THEY GOT ALIVE ACTORS AGAIN*
THEY GOT ALIVE ACTORS AGAIN!!!
Right?! I was freaking out XDD
Are they truly living though? 👻
HOLY HATBOX GHOST!!!
If they had ezra I WOULD, "DIE"!
Walt Disney’s lamp was especially bright, really adding a cherry on top of the night.
interesting thing as its said walt disney's ghost haunts that place with the lamp
aw i bet disney was really happy to see the haunted mansion come all this way
@@honeyhauntart yeah!
Can someone explain where the lamp is? I dunno where it is, I've only been to the Orlando park.
Commander Jason it’s in the window above the fire station at Disneyland
I like that Disney's using Tom Sawyer's Island for more than Fantasmic.
It’s not Tom sawyers it’s pirate cove and you can go on it always lol wrong!!
@@disneyforlife2466 Okay. I always thought it was called Tom Sawyer's island.
sebastian banguis I’m with you buddy. I still call it Tom Sawyer‘s Island. I’m not into the whole re-branding thing for it.
@@kmaprod Besides, it would feed into the old theming of Frontier land. Beck then it was themed to legends of the old west. So retheming it, or renaming T9m Sawyer Island to Pirates cove doesn't really do anything except promote the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
sebastian banguis ya but it’s a great Book/Tom sawyer and I liked it much better but pirates of the Caribbean is a good ride too
The best part of those fifty years...Eddie Murphy’s masterpiece
Michael Eisner shut up michael
Thank you, Michael Eisner. Very cool.
Winning for best troll
Glad that movie never became as popular as Pirates because then we might see an Eddie Murphy animatronic added to the Mansion... *shudder*
Go away michael. Haven't you got some costcutting money to be taking for yourself?
Well, guess I got no other choice but to wait for the 75th anniversary.
Or 3 more years for Disneyworld
No... what about 65 or 70?
HeyItzLaurel ! Those aren’t really celebratory years
Same!
or the 66th anniversary (just add another 6 to reference the Devil or in the Haunted Mansion's case turn the numbers upside down)
Dallen- I’m gonna do it
Future Dallen- no he wont
I shouldn't be this excited about an amusement park ride. You've done this to me and I've never been happier.
Not just an amusement park! An adventure through time, space, and different dimensions!
Seeing a real human as a pepper ghost was freaking amazing!
My girlfriend just told me her daughter kept telling her to stop touching her when my girlfriend wasn’t lolol
ua-cam.com/video/BH3ZvBh_LxY/v-deo.html you sure you have a girlfriend?
@@Fritter_Films wow.
I mean, true. I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't. I also thought that link was a rickroll lol
My jaw dropped when the knight moved. Live actors in the Haunted Mansion again! That's awesome!
1:10 Yeah... I tried riding it 50 times. Only got to 13. Also, it was a pleasure meeting you and Fresh Baked at the event!
Event Horizon Poor Dallin couldn’t get 13 rides in
at least the number you stopped at was 13, perfect number for the mansion.
@@memethyst My initial thought after realizing 50 rides was impossible was to ride it 19 times (for 2019) but even that proved to be far too difficult with the time I had
What a chad
you are so lucky i was there but sadly i didnt get to see either
I like Haunted Mansion Holiday, but Disneyland should leave it like this for the spooky season.
violetgraveyards definitely. Haunted Mansion Holiday is literally a Christmas ride. The fact that they change it for Halloween is just stupid and doesn’t make any sense
@@annarobbins213 But Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween X Christmas film, which is why the overlay spans the fall & winter seasons spotlighting Halloween & Christmas, with Thanksgiving as the afterthought holiday shoved into the middle between the other 2 & Veteran's Day being looked at no different than Memorial Day or Labor Day, in all honesty, to the point that it's even more forgotten than Thanksgiving itself has become.
@TherealRNO the movie is Halloween and Christmas, sure, but the ride is Christmas only. Have you ever been on it? The whole idea is that it’s the HM on the Christmas that Jack took over. They have a goddamn sign on the front saying 0 days until Christmas for cryin out loud. It’s not a Halloween ride.
Even though the nightmare before Christmas is my favorite movie I just love normal haunted mansion
Anna Robbins yeah just have the layout for Christmas, and add a Halloween layout for the ride.
It’s pretty fascinating to see a ride to have grown so much. I do hope it continues to grow more as the years go by. Like Walt said “Disneyland will never be completed”
"as long as there is imagination left in the world"
Amazing
It’s pretty cool we finally see what Madame Leota looked like as a human. These characters need to appear more often in the parks.
Yeah I'm pretty sure this might be the first time we've ever seen her not just as a head
I have an impossible dream of seeing all old ride effects live again so I fangasmed so hard when I saw the knight the first time. The other two were completely amazing too. The deadpan parade was completely hilarious
Nothing is impossible - with $$$ and an annual pass for every year they celebrate an attraction like this! XD
Oh my god. My bf and I FREAKED. We were at the front of our stretching room group, and since the line was so short we were able to walk on from there so the knight was totally still until we were right in front of it. That was probably my favorite thing from the whole night.
The live actors should be a permanent part of the ride.
So long as they don't have to worry about getting attacked by startled guests or having to unfortunately pry apart snogging couples ruining the ride experience for everyone else by trying to get it on unseen whilst in the creepy dark ride's pitch blackness (except for those times when it relies on blue UV light for special effects) again like they had to (these instances took place right before the Living Knight aspect was removed entirely due to safety concerns & cost cutting measures), I'm up for it.
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh that's oddly specific
I work at one of the most intense and best haunted houses in the country. It’s a hard job but you definitely get used to it. They would find actors that can do it. Mark my word. The haunted mansions pretty layed back when it comes to haunted houses
Besides the knight.
Hahah when you were up in Tarzan's Treehouse. "It's so dark..." I honestly always get so scared of the leopard. It always ALWAYS growls at me.
Honestly I found that part a lot scarrier than the haunted Mansion
@@rattyeely Right?? Completely dark, nobody else there? Sounds like a nightmare.
Lucky.
Finally the living knights are back!!!!!!!!
I wonder how Jean Lafitte celebrated?
just for that event i believe
*spoilers*
Jean Lafitte is the knight
Here’s hoping for a 60th anniversary that I can get out there for.
yea same here my dude.
Same I'm a poor Midwestern blue collar even at 19 :p
I'm hoping for a 100th anniversary. I'll be 94, but I think it's doable. Worst case scenario, I really do become the 1000th haunt ;)
Same
Same
If Michael Eisner were still CEO he’d have just slapped on a coco overlay and called it a day
lol
disney should do haunted mansion themed events more often because the vibes are LIT
I love the Haunted Mansion, I wish I could have gone to the event
I’m actually speechless...the show at the start was so good and it’s so cool that they had live actors! I’m sad that I didn’t get to go to this once in a lifetime experience. Im going in less than a month and I’m so excited. This is one of the best attractions at the park. Can’t wait to ride it soon. Happy Birthday to an iconic attraction.🎉
More like Happy "Death Day" to it. Be sure to upload your own personal obituary (biography of the deceased) to websites like doombuggies.com & "Be sure to bring your Death Certificate [authorized by your friendly neighborhood coroner], if you decide to join us. Make Final Arrangements now. We've been...dying to have you!"
50 years and they still haven't found their one thousandth ghost 🤔
Whats the story behind that 1000th ghost stuff?
@@SnakeEyesOfficial42 The Mansion has 999 ghosts and they want one more to make it a thousand happy haunts within the mansion.
So theyre gonna kill somebody just to make it an even number!?
Joshua West probably not, but I hear they’ll take any volunteers
The rider is meant to be the 1,000th, no?
Jean Lafitte made the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland wonderful, WDW needs him
Avery The Cuban-American nah
who jean lafitte?
@@MsDisneylandlover let us tell you a tale as old as offhand Disney
I told my wife when I die I wanted a haunted mansion themed funeral. I imagine it looking just like this evening. We’re gonna crank the fog machines to 11

“Broom of a witch, wing of a bat, let me roll up with my 9 milly gat!”
I love the Haunted Mansion, it’s my favorite ride there! Can’t go to Disney without going on such an iconic classic ride ❤️
Agreed.
Chashu ramen is the best.
I wanna go to disney
mind as well
Ommgg, I think that was Cory Burton voicing the ghost host in the beginning, he's a perfect choice for a modern ghost host voice actor
Yes, he's a...DEAD RINGER for the late, great Paul Frees.
He also did the narration for HMH and voices Ludwig von Drake, another Paul Frees character!
I was there!! I saw you but was too tired to realize it until 10 minutes after you passed by 😅
SAME but I didn’t realize it until today.
Asher Keeling Ahahaha, at least I wasn't the only one!
The fact that I'll most likely be alive when the manor turns 100 years makes me very happy.
"Grim grinning Ghosts" is one of my favorite songs from the Haunted mansion. i get "Ghost (goose) Bumps" when i listen to it. its simply, "Thrilling" to listen to. it speaks to my "Soul" hehe... im all out of Puns now, some one "Pun-ish" me haha. ok, ok im done lol... i love Disney. great place to hang out and enjoy with family, especially the little ones. completely different experience than simply going as a kid yourself. now you get to enjoy it form the more experienced side of things as an adult ye know.

@@PamelaTaylor ...? okay
Haunted Mansion will forever be one of the greatest Disney rides in history!
Also did they combine Paul Frees and Corey Burton as the voice of the Ghost Host for this? There are parts where I hear Corey but some of it sounds like Paul.
I’m pretty sure it’s just Corey Burton, since most of the opening show seamed to be original.
I visited the Haunted Mansion a few days after its opening! It was SO exciting for a 16 year old me. I was completely impressed which had become more difficult since the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean. On that day in August on 1969, I had no idea that in less than two years, I'd be working at Disneyland!
Gregory Highfill that’s so cool!!!!
Well now I gotta ask, did you see the original hatbox ghost? Or did they already have him removed?
Me: has never been to any Disney park
Also me: Binge-watches every Disney park video out there and become a layman historian of a place you've never been at...
hahahahah same
We will be alive for the 100 year anniversary... let that sink in
Oh yis
Wonder what Disney will do for that?
Jean Lafayette is 13 letters Offhand Disney is 13 letters
Dallon wanted to ride the haunted mansion 13 times in the 50th anniversary coincidence maybe hotel Trivago
Hollywood hotel? Tower of Terror
You can see me at 21:03! I'm the caretaker in the stretching room!
Dallin is one of my favorite UA-camrs! He's definitely one of a few that truly inspired me to start creating my own content. Keep up the great work!! Thanks!
Who would expect Disney to make such a big deal out of the haunted mansion! And thank god they did!
*Nice of Disney to show respect for their attractions*
*Unlike UNIVERSAL*
Idk, they did show some respect for the hulk coaster by giving a near perfect ride an overhaul that was necessary (but nobody knew that it was until riding it after the improvements)
At least HHN gets some respect
Huh. Well, long live Ripsaw Falls and Hulk 🤘
Hey, at least Universal is half the price
BoopaDoop Johnson no universal is the enemy
Fans of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror would like a word with you.

Ok, can we appreciate how *BEAUTIFUL* and absolutely *TERRIFYING* the Hat Box Ghost his here??
I met a couple who was riding the haunted mansion 45 times in a row for the 45th anniversary back in 2014.
Great video, Dallin!!! And that Haunted Mansion wedding cake is to “die” for...
What's this red frosting? Why is it so thin? It's very liquidy...

4:13...So cool. Needed smoke machines though, for a creepy mist. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing this video!! It was wonderful getting to see the events.
I started crying while watching this video. I don't know why, could have been the return of the live actors (a feature I hope persists), could have been the fact Hatty made it back in time for the 50th, but whatever it was, I know it's not because I'm upset I couldn't attend.
I could smell the fog through this video lol
"I'm going to ride it 13 times!"
>Rides it 3 times
This was such a neat way to honor the ride, I feel so satisfied just watching this.
I still get spooked by the regular Haunted Mansion, I could never handle an event like this lmao

K C what?
Hbd Haunted Mansion!! We all love you dearly! Signed, Every Foolish Mortal
When the crypt doors creak
And the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a singing wake
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
Now don't close your eyes
And don't try to hide
Or a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
As the moon climbs high o'er dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim grinning ghosts come out socialize
When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restless bones etherealize
Rise as spooks of every size
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Rest in peace, the haunting's free

Having the knight do random poses in the hall instead of jump-scaring every Doom Buggy was DEFINITELY the right call! He’s still creepy if you don’t expect him to move, but no one’s going to whack him in shock or embarrass themselves if he moves.
The best Disney ride that goes down in history!!! We need the live action remake!
Camden Farmer - They have a script by Benecio Del Toro, but they haven’t done anything with it.
Loved the illegal river country video feel of Tarzan’s treehouse 😂♥️
ok it’s official, Dallin is now my favorite youtuber, dude you are awesome and hilarious, keep up the good work
Wow I wish I could’ve went to this event 😭 all the fog and the lights and everything look so cool. They should always have the mansion look like that at night 😍
Love the live actors in the haunted mansion
Would have loved to be there. The Haunted Mansion is the reason I got a job at Disneyland...ended up on the trains though.
Hopefully the Mansion gets the refurb it deserves next year 🙏
No offense to catty schizo Constance as the Black Widow Bride, but I much rather prefer mysteriously forlorn "Beating Heart", whose undying yearn for tragic love, I feel, suits Disney's "Happiest Place on Earth" public image (seeing as the woefully melancholy Bride can reunite with her Groom in the hereafter, since the Mansion is not just a retirement home for ghosts across the ages, but in several attempts at concocting a working narrative for the mismatched attraction's scary but funny conceptualization, the lore indicates that the previously opulent but now foreboding estates that the various Haunted Mansions - Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris included, with it being the only rendition of the eerie attraction with a cohesive working story that still has ties to it being a haunted house that's chock full of not just the standard ghosts like its American & Tokyo counterparts, but also flailing zombies entombed in Phantom Canyon's catacombs & of course, vengeful land baron Henry Ravenswood, who had the house made for his family to live in during his lifetime as primary benefactor & head proprietor of the adjacent nearby mining town of Thunder Mesa before all of the gold reserves dried up & his stubbornly adamant refusal to heed the tribal native's warnings of a mythical Thunder Bird supposedly located within the belly of the mining excavation sealed his fate once a massive earthquake struck & ultimately capsized the town, however even death couldn't keep Henry Ravenswood away from the equity of his decaying manor, largely in part due to his borderline incestuously creepy desire to force his only daughter Melanie to remain there for her entire life in the house with him even after he was believed to have perished during the earthquake that swallowed up Thunder Mesa whole [not counting the operational duplicate of the town in its Gold Rush heyday that continues operating Big Thunder Railroad by way of the equally iconic Big Thunder Mountain, since Phantom Manor & Big Thunder Mountain share the same overarching plot thread & reside firmly in Disneyland Paris's clearly romanticized depiction of the Old West in Frontierland, instead of existing as its American counterparts do as an antebellum plantation settlement in New Orleans Square off the nearby Blue Bayou sharing water with the Rivers of America in California's Disneyland nor a gothic Victorian estate plopped into colonial era Liberty Square in Florida's Walt Disney World, with neither of the stateside Mansions carrying a proper storyline, aside from various conceptualized retellings of the attraction's multiple mythos], he returned from beyond the grave as the cackling Phantom [who just so happens to be fittingly voiced by lauded horror icon Vincent Price] in order to hang Melanie's latest groom from the rafters of the Foyer after all of her prior previous suitors have likewise met with their own unfortunate ends as well [the use of multiple fiancees was a post-2007 story element added from both of the American Haunted Mansions to Phantom Manor's own 2018 refurbishment, along with the return of the Vincent Price English narration, in correlation with the Changing Portrait of Henry Ravenwood morphing into the leering visage of The Phantom to finally confirm, at long last, that Henry Ravenswood IS The Phantom] - used to be when their owners were still among the living became cursed over time due to housing all 999 restless souls trapped inside the attraction, who are forever unable to crossover onto The Other Side, because "they seem to have trouble getting through" despite usually disembodied seer Madame Leota summoning them "for a swinging wake" with her incantations) over gleeful murderess Connie spouting cheesy wedding puns, especially since, as a ghost, the "until death do you part" thing has already happened as just due karma for Constance murdering her well-off husbands-to-be during their perceived honeymoons.
I would love to see just a new que for The Haunted Mansion. Imagine entering though a cemetery crypt near the fountain (All underground - it would def ease the traffic from Orleans station/square, keep everyone A/C cool, plus imagineers can emphasize the story line). The old entry area would become more themed landscape for the mansion to emphasize the sprawl of the estate. Since you exit the ride though a crypt, why not enter though one, it would def feel more immersive. Thoughts?
love the huanted mansion and hope it'll never close
It will most likely close whenever Disneyland closes.
Thanks for sharing this! I was there the day it opened. We got in line about dusk and were approached by a cast member. I was asked if I'd carry a paper with the time on it and if so we could ride for free (no giving up our D Tickets). Of course, we said yes :) It was a once in a lifetime adventure. Difficult to believe it was 50 years ago!
did you see the original hatbox ghost by chance?
If I knew they were going to have an anniversary event, I would have changed my date to come to Disneyland. Lol, this looks like alot of fun.
i’m going to disneyland in a week and we always go when the mansion is closed, but this time we booked our trip to the point where it will be open for 1 day we’re there! this will be my first time riding it :) i can’t wait!!! 🤪🥰🤩
You'll love it!
When I attended CSU Long Beach some of my friends worked at Disneyland. One friend, Jeannie, worked at the Haunted Mansion. I ran into her there on one of my many visits to the park and she gave me an unauthorized backstage tour of the mansion. It was amazing getting to see it from the perspective of the cast members.
Celebrating 50 years of happy haunting and ghoulish delight!
This was a great Anniversary Party. Thanks for bring us along.
Did you know they are redoing space ship earth at Epcot for the 40th anniversary

I love the haunted mansion 😊🎃👻
That's amazing! I would have been over the moon in person but at least I saw it thanks for sharing! Also was this a one time thing?
Love this attraction so darn much!
The 50th Anniversary looked really "Spooktacular".
It would have been super amazing if SOMEHOW they found the original Hatbox ghost and placed it in the mansion for it's one day 50th anniversary, but considering how we still don't know where Hatty ran off to, I doubt we'll ever find him.
Although I'm wondering if maybe hatty maybe got re-purposed into another animatronic after it's mysterious removal the rough week after opening. Considering it would make a bit of sense. The only problem would be trying to figure out what animatronic resembles hatty form in the attractions from that point in time.
Did you go the 7/8 or 8/9? We were there the second night and the cosplay game was perfectly executed. It was a great event!
What was the cosplay game?
This is why the haunted mansion is my favorite 😭💀😍 Walt Disney would be so proud! He put so much effort and love into this ride! I wish he could have seen it 😭😭
Actually, no he didn't. He died before the walkthrough idea was abandoned in favor of it being a dark ride using omnimovers (renamed to doombuggies).
Awww this made me cry for nostalgia reasons.. thank you Dallon.. I was born and raised in Anaheim and Disneyland is a part of my soul. 2020 and recently moving inland to Arkansas has me frequenting your channel quite obsessively. But this video really hit a soft spot for me. Thank you!
I went on the 10th instead of the 9th but to see so many people rocking 50th merch made me realize how impactful this ride truly is
Thank you for posting! So freaking cool! Happy 50th Haunted Mansion!
Amazing 50 Years of The Haunted Mansion. I haven't been on the Haunted Mansion ride since My Last Trip to Disneyland which was in 2008,
