Glad you found the best steakhouse in Vegas, ainec. I get the 24oz thicc NY Steak every time. A little less marbled than the ribeye, but more of the rich beefy flavor. Fantastic.
I’m glad they will let ppl eat at the bar. I will be turning 61 in about 2 months and all of my life, I have never cared about visiting Vegas, but I heard about this and place via UA-cam earlier this yr, now I have to go! I was really worried about being a single diner, but I am fine with the bar, if they are!
Great video UA! I live in Vegas and that is a great choice! Also , you should check out the Steak House at Circus Circus! Their Bone in Rib Eye 24 ounce and their French Onion Soup is great! The rib eye cones with chefs vegetables, house salad and your choice of potatoes. I get the garlic mashed potatoes! It has that old school vibe! 👍
There are people whom don't like ribeye?! I don't understand. Is it maybe because it's a bit fatty? It's one of the absolute best cuts and tastes good even if it's not prepared well. It's hard to mess it up, unless you overcook it by far. Great review!!
Went here with my gf last year after seeing some very impressive reels on Instagram featuring their prime rib and lobster. But sadly we were very disappointed. The prime rib was cooked decently but didn't have much flavour even though we tried drowning it in au jus. The lobser tail was over 80 bucks and was very dry and chewy. Might be because we went pretty late at night, but for a steakhouse in Vegas, we expected a bit more. The cherries jubilee was the best thing we had that night.
On grass fed vs corn fed: corn fed doesn't need to be aged as long as grass fed does in order for it to taste good. Aging grass fed beef is crucial for the taste, if its not aged long enough it is tough and gamey. When grass fed is aged properly (aged longer) it becomes rich, deeper in flavor, and delicious.
Great video, UA. I think they have table size Service for the Caesar salad. You were wondering what was in the Caesar dressing that made it taste so good. You may or may not have had anchovies in your Caesar salad before. The anchovies make, or break a Caesar salad dressing. If the anchovies aren’t in the Caesar dressing, then something is missing, you will notice that taste that something is off, but you can’t place what it is.
12:40 … I think the waitress asked if he was okay because it looked like he might have hurt his tooth or something 😂 it is charming though how his “yummy” face kind of reads as pain or disgust face 😂
Sweet, I used to love going to the Golden Steer when I used to go to Vegas. Their prime rib was usually top tier stuff and I LOVED their lamb chops. However, I will say this much, the prices were much, much cheaper when I used to go in the mid 90s or so lol oh and my friend who used to go with me absolutely destroyed their French onion soup lol

Looks like one of those serious old steak houses that toast their own croutons for their salads, the fact that they make the salad at the tableside is always a good sign. I probably would have tried the French onion soup, you can tell a lot about a place from their French onion soup also, and I would have thought they would have had cheesecake or cannolis. This was a great video, nice solid review, thanks and please keep them coming.
A friend of mines father was Frank Sinatra personal chef in Palm Springs and opened a restaurant there in 1976 that is still open today. His son now runs it as the father retired. It is called Johnny Costa's and the signature dish is called Steak Sinatra and I've had it. It is strips of NY Steak with sautee'd mushroom, garlic and bell peppers in a red wine sauce. It was so tender no knife was needed at all. Those steaks you got looked delicious.
Because it was recommended by the waiter, and we were under the assumption that the garlic butter will be a side that you put on the steak yourself, not something thats on the whole thing.

Golden Steer was also an infamous mobster hangout. When you go in, with all of that red velvet, raised leather booths, servers in suits, etc. it does take you back in time, and you can totally picture the scene back in the day. That's disappointing to read. I was a server all through college and was happy to give customers my honest opinion instead of trying to pad the bill, so I could get a bigger tip. I got good tips anyway because I was honest and they appreciated it. Says a lot about you,
I love that you referenced Manning. Just found your channel and peeking around. I don't eat out much. I am more of a home cook. So I enjoy seeing what is out there!
I just subscribed and clicked the notification bell. You’re good natured, have informative content and your “food face” is epic so you earned a new follower. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words! I love food so I just try to keep it real and say how I'm feeling and don't hold anything back (positive or negative). Appreciate the sub!
That story that the Patron shared with you was pretty unique! I can't imagine what a $1.50 quality prime meat burger must taste like!
Must have been a great moment in history!
One of my favorite places in Vegas!
I have I ate there a year ago in the Caesar salad is beyond amazing it's literally the best one I've ever had in my life. There's sauce is on another level so is their steak and lobster
So glad you can do this full time now. Love your videos. Ribeye and caesar is one of my favorite meals, looks so good 👍
Every element of your meal is ON POINT!
Salivating
I know the Ribeye is kind of THE cut for steak lovers and I do love it, I just love the filet more.
My last meal would definitely be steak au’poivre.
When my best friend spent a week in Vegas around 2019 My hotel was next door to this WONDERFUL restaurant. The food was INCREDIBLE. Next time I go to Vegas, I will 100% go again!!
Looks amazing I need to venture off the strip and try this place. Thanks for the review. I recently had a dry aged ribeye at the new Ocean prime restaurant and it was great.
Yeah it's a bit of a trek to get there if you're not a local, but I think it's worth it
Now I have to visit this place! Thanks for the detailed video.
I could taste it while watching this video... Thanks
You know you did a great job with your review when your vid made me hungry👍👨🍳
When UA started eating the Ceaser salad and started squinting his eyes... it was either bad or incredible. This place has to be that good considering how much UA likes steak. The fact he went for another steak... and couldn't stop eating it speaks volume. UA don't ever stop with your facial expression, it's wholesome and I always get a kick on how you enjoy food.
5 Star UA Rating based on: Squinting, Shaking Head, Weird Faces, and "Hmmm"
I didn’t realize this was down the street from me until today, then I literally just saw your video right now. I’m on Desert Inn by the Sphere and am gonna try to stop in one day.
I had been flying out to Vegas several times a year since 2003 up until last year and I never went to this place. My old school dining spot in Vegas was Battista's, but I might have to take another trip and be sure to try this joint.
Been going to Vegas for vaca since 2000 and have been to Battistas a couple times . Definitely s time warp , but its really a tourist trap joint for me . Nothing special about the food and of course way overpriced. Try Alder n Birch over at the Orleans!!! Awesome surf n turf and wont break the bank.. happy travel's!!!
@@johnkovalicky3389 I agree. The food isn't that fantastic, but the atmosphere is beautiful. Thanks for the recommendation, though. I think I've only been at the Orleans once.
@@serialclone check that restaurant out next time. And if ya like Chinese you must check out Ping Pang Pong at the Gold Coast Casino it's rite next to the Rio! Chao
Yay! You had my mouth watering the whole time. I am glad you enjoyed it.
I used to drive past this place all the time when I was a kid, but I've never seen the inside until now. Now I will have to make a reservation next time I'm in town!
For those prices it better be good. Did they change a resort fee?
Ribeye is my favorite too; although no butter!!! Chuck Eye is very flavorful too. That Cesar salad looked great! I'd get some bacon added to mine if available? That Filet looked perfect too. I want to go there next time in Vegas.
I need "why don't we" shirt in my life. Keep up the great work brother.
UA, hello! I have just found you, and subscribed😊. Funny thing IS....The 1st videos I watched were Pepe's and Sallys in CT, where I am from, and next was... The Golden Steer, and I live in Las Vegas now😂😂😂. Love it! Thanks!
Golden Steer and Sparks are my favorite steakhouses in the US
Two very good choices!
I’m so hungry and shouldn’t have watched this, especially the filet mignon part, omg that looks crazy delicious!! 😋💜
YESSS best reviewer on UA-cam. So detailed
He gives a real down to earth review. I have never been steered wront by UA. Gallaghers and Best Bagel and coffee, and Joes Pizza in NYC.
Great review..those steaks look amazing and thanks for the laugh when the girl asked if everything was alright lol
that face, from the outside, it really looked like it was horrible 😂 the staff surely knows something about what the celebrities' favorite was
Ranchers raise a lot of grassfed beef here and then finish the cows on corn. Best of both worlds. Great review, love these iconic steak houses
Long time lurker first time commenter. So glad you are able to eat there at Golden Steer. That is on my bucket list! Thanks for the video! Hey since you are able to travel more, why not review your hotel stays too? Thanks! Good luck! 😊
You know not a bad idea! I actually did some hotel reviews in the early day of this channel. It would probably only be worth it for nicer hotels, but maybe if I make many trips to Vegas I can stay at a different hotel on the strip every time and review it
Golden Steer was also an infamous mobster hangout. When you go in, with all of that red velvet, raised leather booths, servers in suits, etc. it does take you back in time, and you can totally picture the scene back in the day. The food was outstanding when my wife and I ate there about 30 years ago (a NY was about $25 or so as I recall).
UA with the Ceasar Salad haircut 💇♂️.
Wow that thing was perfectly cooked consistently throughout.
The flip flop mole . Mirroring 😑😑. Good review though 👍👍
Yesss, call me really old school, but imo, corn fed beef tastes the best.
Imma have to try this place someday!
Please don’t close your eyes when it tasted delicious…
loving your vids UA. I'm glad you're able to do this full time now. Looking forward to more reviews especially in Vegas.
I am a little disappointed that you did not get the garlic bread
I have the dry-aged ribeye every year. Ceasars salad and cherries jubilee. Definitely one of my favorites of all time.
Servers always recommend the most expensive stuff, lol.
Hi! I'm Ernest. 1st time viewing and i subbed. I've never been able to go to Vegas. Like to eat. I enjoy you. Looking forward to be a part of your channel.
ELVIS DIDN'T EAT SALAD JUST STEAK AND POTATOES
Supposedly.
And gravy was very important.
And that steak better be well done, as in burnt, and those taters better be creamily whipped.
Though maybe he liked baked potatoes and fries too?
@@resa.waltersElvis def knew how to eat
Hell yes bro !! I eat nothing but the rib eye ! No steak beats that flavor , if I were to have a different steak it would be the porterhouse !
Good video. I like how the restaurant is more on the blue collar side. It make it all about the food.
Blue collar? The working man cannot afford this place unless he wins big at the casino.
UA, love the content. I never close one of your videos and am disappointed. Keep them coming my friend!
That looks a little over cooked . Looks like medium.
Your video review was excellant! A bar seat would be perfect! Grab a single malt , a Ceasars salad with a little Tabasco sauce!,, a New York strip steak and a baseball game!!!!!Perfection!
To me is one of the best steak house I've ever been, you get what you pay for. Can't wait to go back, I've been at least once a year. Love it, truly recommend it.
OK....it's not just you....a lot of people make the same mistake. You were eating a RIB steak, NOT a RIBEYE steak. RIBEYE steak is a BONELESS RIB steak. You're welcome! Cheers!
Tell that to the restaurant
As a Vegas resident, you went to the right place. Best steak house in town hands down!
Too bad they didn’t prep the Caesar salad in front of you. They make the dressing from scratch.
Absolutely Delicious ❤🤤❤
