    What if Nemesis was not a failed experiment, but a successful experiment, like the faro machines on Earth?

      What if "the mysterious signal" wasn't created by Nemesis, but what gave it sentience in the first place.

      One of the big questions left behind from HZD was whether or not Vast Silver was truly contained. There is still the issue of what caused the Faro Machines to go rogue in the first place.

    What if the real reason why HEPHAESTUS is so aggressive was because it knew about Nemesis after the extinction signal woke it up. It figured on it's own that that it's best if it didn't merge back with GAIA because GAIA is prone to being overtaken with clearances so HEPHAESTUS split itself across the globe to make it more difficult for Nemesis to take over. Remember, HEPHAESTUS is one of GAIA's most powerful subfunction, along with HADES. It can secure itself against any threats, malicious codes and disobey clearances which makes it a perfect Security Guard for Zero Dawn.
    As for HEPHAESTUS causing the Derangement, it's probably because without GAIA's guidance. It was left with no morals or instructions necessary to take care of life. Which makes sense since it's a sub-function that's supposed to fabricate machines all on it's own. While GAIA is warm and compassionate, HEPHAESTUS is cold and calculate. Maybe on the third sequel, GAIA and HEPHAESTUS would have to make some sort of deal and coexist instead of merging in order to deal with the Nemesis threat.

      That’s is a great theory about HEPHAESTUS, a theory I have is that if NEMESES size was acutely large as seen on the hologram, as the AI has the power to inhabit any from biological or mechanically and as a potential storyline and contrast with Aloy and Elisabeth, people who did everything they could to save the world, is that in order for the it to have a human presence in the story and to gain access to the Terraforming System would create a clone of Elisabeth to inhabit and would be a dark reflection of Aloy, who would need to in effect flight a version of herself to save the world, with the possibility that Aloy would seek to free the clone thinking she was forced against her will only for the dark clone to have gained an Agent Smith like mentality due to having shared her mind with the most evil beings for all her life with the possibility that if all the minds within NEMESIS had a purely logical mindset they could see Beta and by extension Aloy due to them being identical clones as the last members of FZ disregarding the fact that Beta was an unwilling participant of FZ, as for the upcoming TV Show I think, I think that given the working title of Horizon 2074, almost 10 years after the end of the Old Ones that part of the show will take place in Elysium, with the bunker acting somewhat like the island from Lost as a self contained location and show the final days of the bunker with the possibility that any flashbacks could be from Aloy discovering holograms and data and learn it's fate as a framing devise to inform the watcher and Aloy of those events, what do you think?

    Is it safe to say that Aloy is around 17 years old? Due to the calculation pf 8.6 years travel multiply by 2 and the first 8.6 years was the reason why Alloy was born?

    I definitely have some ideas. Since Nemesis can utterly take over and alter machines to its benefit, it was easy for it to overwhelm a colony decked out in tech. On Earth the planet is 99.999% wilderness, no tech at all. What remains is crumbling ruins that are slowly becoming inoperable and the systems GAIA and the terraforming system use.
    Now that they have GAIA, and she has the Minerva subfunction, they can figure out a plan to deal with a high tech threat. My guess? They're going to trick Nemesis into taking over machines and then set off a trap where a high tech solution will not work. They could get instructions from GAIA on how to unearth, and reprogram the Chariot line machines to consume Nemesis.
    Then there's the matter of Haephaestus which has been said to be evolved beyond what it once was, and now knows how to integrate Far Zenith tech into machines. Having Apollo and Gaia and a few months means they've got thousands of years of human history and knowledge to come up with strategies.

    • @JRYYD
      @JRYYD 2 роки тому +7

      That is interesting, my idea is similar to that they use Minerva to create a false signal of a high tech cauldron and turn it into a AI version of Pandora's Box to trap it and then using the FZ ship send it into the sun. What do you think?

    • @RicochetForce
      @RicochetForce 2 роки тому +4

      @@JRYYD Heh, my idea was that they trick it into a facility that seems to hold a great many machines or powerful weapons, and then cut power to it. But the end result in both our scenarios is Nemesis stuck in a vessel that dooms it.
      From the way they described Nemesis I don't think it can be reasoned with. It's an amalgamation of minds as hateful and cruel as Ted Faro + bitter and angry at being isolated with them for decades.

      There will be some crazy solution that proves to be a massive gamble. Apollo will definitely play a part. The story wouldn't give us access to Apollo for it not to be a big asset in game 3.
      Hephaestus may not like Nemesis taking over and could end up having it's own war with Nemesis. As at the end of the day, Hephaestus' job is to rebuild the world and protect terraforming operations, so I don't think Hephaestus will tolerate Nemesis coming in to destroy everything it's built.

      Don't be surprised if in the next game we have to recover something from another one of Faro's facilities. Like whatever it was that allowed the Chariots to not be hacked and at some point in the game we're thrown into a war of machines between Gaia's and Nemesis'. The difference is that this war will be going on all across the region.

    Nemesis hates the Zeniths. Zeniths hate the modern earthlings. Modern earthlings kill off Zeniths that Nemesis was trying to kill off. If Nemesis is truly sentient then one would think it would have absolutely no problem with, and even be very happy with the earthlings.

    Honest question: Why is Nemesis still a threat? Or at least why is it assumed it will definitely be a threat? The way Tilda explains tells it Nemesis is motivated by hatred for the humans of Far Zenith specifically not the human race as a whole. With all the known survivors of the Sirius colony dead by the end of the game why wouldn't Aloy consider opening a dialog with Nemesis and explaining that? Nemesis only tried to scour biosphere and sabotage Gaia to deny the Zeniths, with them gone wouldn't it logically conclude that it had succeeded in its mission?

    Well 8,811 light years distance should not be considered "so vast" considering the closest galaxy Andromeda is 2.5 million light years away. Well, at least it is so vast to get targeted signals from.
    And it also seems Faro was kind if right keeping the new human generation from APOLLO knowledge, since mankind seem to find a way to wipe themself a third time. First one mentioned in the game is Climate Catastrophe, second time is the machine swarm and this time it is Far Zenith with Nemesis. OK, humanity constantly finding a way to wipe themselves is far too fatalistic in my opinion even for a game or movie. I believe technology's and information to be generally a boon not a doom.
