  • If you’ve been craving a classic burger but want it in the comfort of your own home where you know exactly what’s in it… you gotta try these Classic Sliders made with my “quick” sourdough buns and delicious grass-fed burger patties.
Quick Sourdough is really an oxymoron since the whole point of souring a dough is the time element…there’s nothing “quick” about it. However, this is a sourdough starter discard recipe I created that utilizes some of the sourdough yeast I have on hand to give these homemade buns great depth of flavor that simply dry yeast can’t provide. From mixing to baked, you are looking at about 2 hours start to finish time to get these buns ready to go for your classic sliders. Not bad.
I love making this recipe, or even doubling it, to use for burgers one night and then allow the rest to cool and freeze in a ziplock for future nights when we want burgers again. They also make a perfect vehicle for your morning eggs or a lunchtime tuna sandwich.
This recipe makes 12-14 “slider”-sized buns, or 8-10 regular-sized buns, OR 6 large buns. Up to you! We love the slider size because they are easier to handle, and well, just so cute.
I hope you guys give these a try and please let me know in the comments if you did and how you like them!

Same here… I’ve seen a few promising sourdough sandwich recipes here on YT but haven’t tried yet. That will likely become a staple when I do though!

@frochoffthebranch I've never made sourdough bread. It is hard to make?

@@oceaneyespat7394 Its one of those things that is a little tricky at the beginning but you get the art and feel of it over time. Then you'll be able to make it no problem :) I have a lot of flat, hard inedible gummy disks of bread before I figured out how to make nice loaves... when at first you don't succeed...try try again!
