This is a wonderful view of Shabani! He can play rough and keep Kiyomasa in his grasp, yet he is gentle and adjusts his strength with Annie. Since her birth, he has always taken such care of her. From watching her through the bars when she was in the care of the keepers through protecting her when she joined the troop, he has always looked after his daughter. He is a fine example of a troop leader and silverback much like his own father Kibabu!
I’ve only seen 2 videos of Shabani when he was younger but I bet that must of been something to see the brothers and sister playing. I’m still hoping some baby pics manifest of Kibabu famous kids! I would love to see baby Shabani! Or baby Haoko too! Maybe Shabani would ride on Haoko’s back when they were younger😃

Which of the Family members did Annie sleep with at night? I know the babies always slept with momma or if a orphan they slept with the Silverback in the wild . Wondering if do the same in captivity.

Out of all the male silverbacks I've seen, Shabani by far is the best father.
