CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Clouseau's (Peter Sellers) hot air balloon trick saves him from Dreyfus' (Herbert Lom) bomb, but sends him flying over Paris into the river.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Most Inspector Clouseau fans regard The Pink Panther Strikes Again as the best of the clumsy Parisian detective's "comeback" films of the 1970s. Driven insane by the stupidities of Clouseau (Peter Sellers), ex-inspector Dreyfuss (Herbert Lom) transforms into a master criminal. Kidnapping the inventor of a death ray, Dreyfuss threatens to use the demon device indiscriminately unless Clouseau is offered as a "sacrifice." A hunted man, Clouseau is forced to adopt one transparent (but hilarious) disguise after another. He is rescued from being incinerated by Dreyfuss when Soviet spy Olga (Leslie Ann Down) falls in love with him and strives to protect him.

"Oh, the bells! The bells! They deafen me!"
(hops over and picks up phone)
"Boogawagagagawoohgagagagoogoowagagaga!"
I love the way Clouseau answers the phone, and how nonchalant Cato is about the entire situation.
hoglwagawagawaga,
The fact that he doesn't break the Quasimodo character when he answers the phone is hilarious on a legendary level.
Cato’s not even surprised anymore
We miss you Peter Sellers
Cried and cried nearly died of laughter couldn't breathe and stop laughing appreciate a good laugh and the memories as always excellent outstanding brilliant true comedy at its very best to peter sellers and the other actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong keep the laughs coming after all these years old is solid pure gold much love and respect and appreciation job well done you should be proud appreciate the memories and a good laugh thanks !!! Joe
When God made Peter Sellers he broke the mold 🤣
He was a genius
Can't you see am on the pherne!
The beast. Peter Selllers 😀😂
Expression as the hump inflates and he fully assumes character
Go on, name me a funnier comedy team than Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom.
No one
@SevelRomanov I love them all they are all the best
@SevelRomanov I do agree with you my friend.
God rest then in peace.
Maybe Leslie Nielsen and George Kennedy then? But it´s close. all of them were great.
Abbott and Costello
Henry Mancini did a great score for this film
Great Jazz Music.
Taken Too Soon from Pancreatic Cancer.
RIP
Can't you see I'm on the phone lmfao
This was a much funnier movie than Return of the Pink Panther
Critics didn't Like that one. There were a FEW gems there, Too, However.
Especially that "Filthy 'Minkey.'"
...and Dreyfuss..."Lugash...Today, a Beautiful Resort; Tomorrow-a Desolate Wasteland."
My Late Dad Always said that to Me when my room/whole apartment, were totally disorganized, and messed up.
Inspector C made a perfect quasi-Quasimodo.
THE BELLS THE BELLS
Hysterical. His Ineptness was almost TOO Exaggerated in this film, however. Like, when he couldn't even get his tie off in the Love Scene.
...and, they Also borrowed a few Gags from the Old Bob Hope Road films.
THEY, Too, had a scene where a Dentist in the Old West pulled the wrong tooth out of a Gunslinger's mouth.
"You'd BETTER me outta Town before SUNDOWN...MooAHAHAHAHA!"
Cato, my little yellow friend.
And what's the last thing he says on the phone? I'm always on my toes. Priceless
I'd rather watch this than GotG Vol 2 this weekend, lol
😂
Why don't they make films like this anymore. The youngsters know nothing today. They have missed out on great humour.
My nieces watch the classic Pink Panther cartoons and love them. I should show them the movies. lol
Political correctness.
It’s because these truly funny films came from directors who could whittle out every bit of unneeded film in a scene. The comedy is simple and direct and nothing is in the way of the laughs hitting you like a bullet. If only Peter Sellars and Blake Edwards (husband of Julie Andrews)could have kept this franchise going longer!
I don’t think young people today grasp slapstick comedy too well. I guess we need to tell them that it’s ok to laugh!
Trivia: One of the most unlikely comedy writers for Blake Edwards (The Pink Panther films) was Willam Peter Blatty, author of The Exorcist.
Nice komedi süper ha ha
Oubliette
After all the karate chops he got he might have
Little red riding hood

Herbert loam
Lom
That’s Herbert Lom.
Did Cato die?
Steven Romano No. I thought the same when I saw this for the first time. I don't know if it is this film where he mentions it, but clouseau says something like, "Mam that explosion Kato was in nearly blew his skin off!" But he does survive since he is in the other movies.
Jackson Simile thank you for clearing that up... It was bothering thinking he did.
Steven Romano p
Cato is also seen at the end of the movie.
No, he shows up at the end, it is mentioned he was in a hospital though.
Why do I feel like what happened to Clouseau here with his disguise would also happen to a random woman trying on a Kim Kardashian costume?
