Having been to the concert in 2023 in Detroit I can say that it is an absolute blast. There was no extra lighting or laser show it was BAND MAID simply up on the stage - just as it was here - a few lights and perfect sound. No warm up band no encore almost a local pub feel to it. After seeing the Yokohama Arena concert - I have the DVD - I am wondering if I will be able to see BAND MAID in a small venue again.
Like you, I love the small venue performances and this entire concert at Boston recorded by Vlad is one of my favorite fan cam. I saw them twice in smallish venues and both were by far the best rock concerts I've ever been to. Whether you react to it or not, you should watch B-M perform Freedom at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento in 2023 posted by Hadesmetal. The video starts with a MC section with Miku hyping up the crowd and then captures a very rare moment, a huge mistake by the drummer Akane and it shows how they handle it with such style, humor and grace. Watch Akane's face as the song starts. its priceless.
This is almost exactly my position when I saw them last year. 700 capacity club and I was completely blown away. I wanted to catch a Kanami pick so bad! Hear the crowd? If you plan to go, you better know your parts! 😂 And the crowd is from moms, dads and their kids to guys in wheelchairs. Everyone is overjoyed to see the Maids. P.S. Yes, you will be sore the next day 😊
There are lots of fancams out there. The most prolific is by UA-camr Vladimir Chupin. He famously followed Band Maid on a whim during their EU 2019{?} tour and got some marvelous footage. The fancam footages of their US 2023 & 2024 benefited greatly from advances in cell phone capabilities. Some stand outs were from Boston, Nashville with a bowling spree by the band, and Welcome To Rockville. The band was on fire that night. But maybe the wildest was the 2024 Mexico. The Mexican fans went nuts!

I agree, watching fan cam footage of Band Maid is amazing, because you can see how good they are live without any post-production cleanup that we get in the official live videos. And it reminds me of the show I went to see at the House of Blues in Chicago, which somebody captured in it's entirety here: ua-cam.com/video/R9BcFwZz3cc/v-deo.html
Ditto, I went to 5 B-M shows in 2022 and this one was probably the closest I'll get to the 2019 tours that Vladimir Chupin documented so well for us late-comers.
I think Band Maid can only give 100% no matter what venue. There's a small venue show in Germany (I think) from years ago when Kanami goes OFF and gets a little crazy you might get a kick out of.
I think the camera people just didn’t know what to expect and got caught off guard. But it is professional footage with no post production cleanup. So you get better sound and video than a fancam, but it still feels live and raw.
Love the song and Vladimir's fan cam videos. I have seen them live twice and they are really just off the charts ... I have seen many, many shows and by far Band-Maid shows are now my favorite! Thanks for the reaction.
Don't You Tell Me! Oh, wait! You just did.🤘😂Now, let me tell you something: Some say the Carolina Reaper is the hottest chili pepper with a Scoville Heat Index of 2.2 million. Nope! It's Band-Maid with a whopping 200 Million View index! 🌶🤘🎀 Thx, Rick!
Omg Tom your awesome comment sounds like something i would write....🤔Which now i think of it explains why you were asking me so many questions about chilies yesterday. Tch.🤨
@@TomClark-Futoura We have less chance of seeing lobster in the UK than Steven Seagal moving to fight. Like the rest of our seafood we have some awesome lobster off of the coast of Scotland & we do what we always do, export our seafood across the globe for money instead of selling it here.🤓
Rick, There is another awesome video from that same concert at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. It's "Moratorium" which I'm not sure you have reacted to yet. The fancam was shot by Vladimir Chupin, who has been following the Maids all over the world, shooting videos of their performances. They give him permission to film them and the videos (and the sound) are great. If you do react to "Moratorium", pay close attention to Kanami's fretwork during the song. Her talent and technical skills are just incredible
It's funny that you showed this video, because I saw them the night before in NYC at Irving Plaza. They immediately got on their tour bus and drove to Boston for this gig, and when that was done they got back on their tour bus and drove back down to the American Dream Mall in New Jersey, where i saw them for the second time in 3 days, lol. It was a complete blast and my son flew in from Denver to go to the shows with me. A great time was had by all, especially during the set breaks, which are almost a show all by themselves. I found the fact that they did their US tour almost entirely on that tour bus amazing. There is a video that follows the trip from beginning to end which is pretty cool. But the most touching thing was that Kanami decided to write a song for the fans during the bus trip, which was named "Memorable". They also did a great video for the song. I think you will enjoy it Just remember, you haven't seen anything yet. This ride has just started for you.
@4:24 😀😃😄 I saw Band Maid at a venue that was similar to this one, being within 20 feet of Kanami was amazing! Their charisma on stage is infectious. 🤍 🤘❤🔥🤘
You might wanna look Vlad Chupin’s livevideo from their Homburg-gig? Three songs, Take Me Higher-Freedom-Moratorium, imo best fanvideo ever recorded, band is on fire and some magic moments in this video 👍
You should check out their official live of this too. It's worth doing a reaction even though you did this one. I totally get wanting to see some raw fan cam of them. Like you said this is raw and unpolished. It's exactly what you get if you go see them live. If you want to do another one like this check out "You" from the show in Dallas 2019. I was actually at that show and it was lit. I'll leave a link to a very good quality fan cam in a reply to this comment. Comments with links tend to disappear. There is no video or official live for "You" and its a really good song. So its one you can react to and no one will complain, lol.
If you want to see a real banger of theirs at a "small" venue the one with the stationary 6th member (was there just for this gig), then this is one of the best close up and in your face, and we're talking Inches here! Vlads Fancam of Morrie with the Mincho meltdown is a must if you like this! ua-cam.com/video/RxmRiWHZ3TI/v-deo.html Trust me I wouldn't lie to you🙊
guess Vlad was on Kanami's side of the stage for Boston. In San Diego he was right in front of Misa i was on the other side on the rail in front of Kanami. not sure if the San Diego footage is on Vlad's channel but i have the whole show shot by him broken up into each song and MC sections
Band-Maid and Vlad! Legends!
And that's how it's done son......
So good!
God was that fun!! Yippeeyiyo Kai yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite concert ever. Was in balcony right across from Misa.
That's the way to see a band
That is the best 'drop' ... ever!
Man they killed that...❤❤❤

even though their music/performance commands a bigger stage I'd pay top dollar for a more intimate show like this.
