Watching this really made me realize how much I love him and Rays parts! They don't really mix, like most do, the clash, and fight each other, in the best way, making this completely amazing, different, and unique sound that we know and love as My Chemical Romance 🖤🖤 And then Mikey's bass parts add in the perfect balance that keep Ray and Franks parts from ruining each other. It's so amazing 🖤🖤
I've never heard his part isolated in "The Ghost of You." It's really neat that the riff in and of itself is a little eerie like a ghost. And then blended in and forward it turns sad. That's pretty *rad!*
Worst? Try the one in which he and Ray teach Na Na Na (i think thats the one). Or the one in which he teaches Shes The Prettiest Girl At The Party from his 1st post-MCR album. This is the worst ever 😂
For the black parade get a handle on those octave chords and then moving them around. The verse parts a little harder with the stretch and palm mute, practice the chords one by one to strech the fingers out then slowly work in the palm mute going slow. Takes time but you'll get there

I am thrilled to see the actual guitarist who wrote the parts play them instead of a tutorial by some kid. The interesting thing to me about MCR guitar parts are the octaves he uses to carry the melody. I’ve never heard that done before, and it seems to be sort of his trademark style. Can anyone tell me who influenced this style, or whether he just came up with it as a way to fill out their sound in the recording studio, or something? I really like it, especially in BP, but musically it seems like an unusual choice (like, he could’ve done a full three finger rock chord, but instead he muted the middle string and just does the octaves).
Having a deep analysis of that I assume is an interesting way to harmonize the main vocals, because in most songs you hear the rhythm guitar playing a similar structure part for the voice but in a different range. Just compare here in The Ghost and Black Parade and follow the lyrics...
