I consider this waltz a self-portrait of F Chopin. Everything that should be there is really there. The changing of minor tonality to major during the piece shows us the natural changes of humor of the composer. Near by the end the born of the left hand solo, by the way for me the most beautiful left hand solo of all the Chopin waltz, is a lightning morning wake up, that nevertheless ends with a suffering and expectable death, already foreseen from the early beginning of the waltz
This waltz is easy to play, but very difficult to play it in a way that transports the right emotions. This guy did it in a soft way with a noble touch. Thumbs up.
It's a slow, sad waltz, jerked by breaths like the sobs of someone crying! It was Chopin's favorite waltz. Having worked on it, it's not technically insurmountable, but it does present many subtleties nicely expressed by this performer.
Dear Andrzey, God gifted you certainly are and Chopin suits you best. You are surprising and amazing as well. You made that piano sing in the greatest of manners. I love your artistic, so special and unique way of bringing Chopin back to our loving memory. Bravissimo young man and may God keep you in His caring love for ever..
From one Wiercinski to another, thank you for your gift. My mom and dad used to waltz to Chopin on the dance floor at the Polish National Home in Hartford, Connecticut. Long way our lineage traveled from Podlasie between the World Wars.
Dare I say, he did even better than Horowitz’s interpretation in my opinion. Everything about the rhythm and dynamics just fits perfectly and is executed magnificently. Some recordings have some parts that are good and some that aren’t but this one is a good balance.
Because Cho is better, isnt that obvious? I like Andrzej but he seems very tense sometimes, you can actually see from his curled/straight fingers and this affects the sound he makes. Cho, otherwise, has dazzling technique even while nervous. He's one of a kind, Andrzej is more ordinary
He chose an excellent tempo, it is allowed to change the tempo a little, hurry a little, slow down and return to the original rhythm, and even requested, certainly in Chopin's works Chopin did not play like a metronome, and his interpretation is pure
He moves back and forth like a metronome! In his defense, it looks like his natural movement to the music rather than the silly convulsive affectation that is currently in fashion with the new generation of pianists.
Lady take your medicine, This is beautiful,,,perfection probably and captures the serenity of a dream waltz. Every other performance on youtube now in the shadows.

Edit: I wrote this in my mom’s account. Btw, check out the videos of the channel.
Beautiful description.. I have just started learning this piece .. you’ve just made the journey more inspiring for me … thank you ✨
That's amazing

Sven Parker it’s not easy to play, belive me. I’m trying so hard and can’t play it. It only looks easy.
@@witchkingofangmar9373 And how are you doing? I'm playing it right now. I find it really challenging
The pedal is too much hard
It´s an intermediate-advance level, like a 7-8 of 12
That's the way it should be played. It sounds so natural. I've never heard that rate of sincerity

It’s harder than it looks. Hard rythm and dynamic. Andrzej played this well :)

I started learning this piece. I saw a shadow of Chopin.
JY Sir You saw a shadow of chopin... how?
JY Sir maybe he means that the piece bears Chopin's own feelings and signature.
Schizo?
Pięknie, z gracją. Kibicowałam Andrzejowi podczas ostatniego konkursu Chopinowskiego.

Za pięć lat widzimy się znowu!
6 years later...
Bez zbędnych słów- Cudownie!
Uouuu, wspaniałe wykonanie! Teraz ja się zmagam z tym utworem...
Pure interpretation❤️👑
Even my teacher said it was the best one on UA-cam
I like Dinu Lipatti interpretation, but this is so good too
Thank you

I played this on my solo recital
but not so good.
Dziękuję 🎹🇵🇱
Wspanialy!!!!!
Alfred Watson Wspanały.
Just mastered this piece with my teacher. Wish I could play that well.
Then you didn’t “master” it did you eh?
@@BoxStudioExecutive He probably meant he learnt all the notes
@@lizhang5014 Lol. It would take someone of middling skill at a piano a week or so to learn all the notes to this piece.
@@BoxStudioExecutiveI will be playing it in a recital next month. Perhaps it is not mastered 🤣🤣🤣
Entendió bien lo que significa "tempo rubato "
Satisfying
Play very well
이거 얘가 정말 잘함... ㄷㄷㄷ
He looks like Chopin

waaaaaay too fast and some inconsistencies in tempo...

Too much pedal.
Must you move your body so much? It is distracting, and can't be adding anything to the piece.
Very musical interpretation!
Vera very silly, close your eyes and listen, this is production for the ears....unless you want jabber about something irrelevant...
He moves back and forth like a metronome! In his defense, it looks like his natural movement to the music rather than the silly convulsive affectation that is currently in fashion with the new generation of pianists.

Let him move like he wants and feels! Seriously we are in 21st century and everyone should be allowed to move like they want.
Wouldn’t this be considered a mazurka rather than a waltz?
No
Thank you
