Israel thinks it's above International Law; they've as much as stated that (and shown that with their actions). The terrorists aren't a state and aren't part of the UN. The UN judges, like anyone, can make demands into the air for a better world, such as hostages anywhere of anyone's being released, but they don't have a direct formal channel in that court to them. Hamas is a political organization within Gaza, holding a strangle hold on what's left of the Palestinian political system there. Political parties aren't represented directly in the UN, and thus as I stated above. The Gaza strip is an occupied and blockaded territory of land. It is not recognized as a state by countries in the world, and thus it can't join the UN. The UN ICJ doesn't have the direct authority to tell the Gaza Strip what to do, effectively, as to the UN ICJ, there is no state to speak to. Those judges are making rulings to states. Not to individuals. The nation of South Africa versus the nation of Israel. She makes her call for the release of the hostages as a human, not as a judge; because as a judge, there's no nation in the case, or the UN entirely, to rule it to.

We are battling hard and reaching only a tiny audience because the media is on the other side. We should go after one of them - the CBC - and compel it to fairly inform, comply with a journalistic code of ethics and refrain from taking sides. Saturday, the day after ICJ's ruling, CBC radio's lead news story is that today is holocaust remembrance day followed by a promotion of Hamas atrocities narrative. Judge Julia Ssebutinde is a no nonsense judge. He led the difficult proceedings against Uganda's security agencies( Police) that had become a rot to the nation and helped to wipe out the non- touchables that were facilitating crime in Uganda in the 1990s. The UK trained judge will always stand by her word.

Thank you for these observations. Canada used to have a stellar reputation as a peacekeeping nation. We squandered all that and lately we have been pretty much a US lapdog. The terrorists aren't a state and aren't part of the UN. The UN judges, like anyone, can make demands into the air for a better world, such as hostages anywhere of anyone's being released, but they don't have a direct formal channel in that court to them.
Hamas is a political organization within Gaza, holding a strangle hold on what's left of the Palestinian political system there. Political parties aren't represented directly in the UN, and thus as I stated above.
The Gaza strip is an occupied and blockaded territory of land. It is not recognized as a state by countries in the world, and thus it can't join the UN. The UN ICJ doesn't have the direct authority to tell the Gaza Strip what to do, effectively, as to the UN ICJ, there is no state to speak to.
Those judges are making rulings to states. Not to individuals. The nation of South Africa versus the nation of Israel.
She makes her call for the release of the hostages as a human, not as a judge; because as a judge, there's no nation in the case, or the UN entirely, to rule it to.

As a Canadian I am truly ashamed of my government’s stance on the ICJ ruling. The highest court in the world has ruled that there’s a plausible case of genocide taking place in Gaza. Even the US judge, who also happens to be the president of the ICG, ruled unequivocally that genocide was plausible and voted for all provisional measures to be immediately implemented. Yet my country remains on the side of the genociders and continues to support that apartheid state. What an absolutely shameful and cowardly response from Canada.

I was really disappointed when the judges did not mention long term cease fire.i believe the most important issue is cease fire,and let all the food trucks enter Gaza.abdcresture power and water.if Israel still boming how the trucks can get in.and the other issue was,the judges said , Hamas should released all the hostages,really what about those thousands of palastenian civilians taken by Israeli what about them.

We are battling hard and reaching only a tiny audience because the media is on the other side. We should go after one of them - the CBC - and compel it to fairly inform, comply with a journalistic code of ethics and refrain from taking sides.
There is common law, affirmed by the SCC, that requires everyone who derives their powers from Parliament, to act justly, fairly etc.. (Parliament never intended that CBC staff should act as they now do on this or other issues.) The pro-Israel side know the key to getting their way is to have influence with the media ... and we just let it happen ... that's why Canada's foreign policy is a disgrace to its people.
Saturday, the day after ICJ's ruling, CBC radio's lead news story is that today is holocaust remembrance day followed by a promotion of Hamas atrocities narrative. We must end the occupation of the CBC, return it to Canadian control and have it serve us. Then, CFPI and others will get fair exposure to their issues ... otherwise it's a losing battle.

God wants us all to be human and mindful to the predicaments of others. Life is precious in all religions. Thou shall not kill. No human is above the other and whatever power or wealth a human or country is given, God is watching what we are going to do with it. We will be judged by what we do and say and whether we are protecting innocent people and aiding them and standing with them against oppressors. Life is a test.

Discrimination by what? SA is an African country. Africans are the most discriminated in the world. This was a clear judicial proceeding. Evidences were brought forth.
