Relatively smaller countries that hardly make up even a quarter of Europe. To claim those were not European wars because two of the countries were excluded from it is misguided.

The Soviet Union was split into a multitude of regions with varying degrees of authonomy. The Russian Federation itself contained and still contains a multitude of selfgoverned republics. And it forgets the fact that most rebellions do not stick to administrative borders.
