Interesting that in the mid '70s there was no electricity in the cottage. I remember well that during the 50's to the early 60's when we lived in 86 London Rd - we still had working gas mantles as well as the electric lights. Keep up the great work.
I had a friend named John Bentley whose family lived there during the sixties. We used to go past the cottages, through the watercress beds and get to my house in Riverside Drive.

The horns that you mentioned are the sides of the sash which are sometimes left long and the ends rounded off ,very interesting upload thanks
