As a Splatling main, my crops have been watered and my land is flourishing. I’ve been wanting a Splatling with Crab since launch, and it being on a weapon I actually play is sick.
Ok I know it doesn’t really matter but it’s not actually red; it just has red ink in the promo render. You can briefly see that it’s pink in the trailer, and its little 2D icon is grey in the gameplay footage.
Good to note a full charge takes 20% of your ink tank and splat bomb takes 70%. That's 90% of your ink tank and you have 10% left. This is honestly really good since it sorta has a bit of synergy simply by not draining all of your ink tank
Honestly, I've ran into a few times with the Hedit™ where my charge ends just a bit too early to secure a kill due to the whole full-charge mechanic, splat bomb could work with it.
THEY GAVE A BOMB TO SOMETHING?!?!? We've had 3 updates in a row where im pretty sure every weapon got the "Terrible 3" (Point sensor, Line Marker, and Tri Splashdown)
>there aren't many who won't like this Imma be blunt I hate viable splatlings because I struggle to do literally anything against any backline in a game where every map is a hallway or a bowl
Would Pencil/Hedit really have too much downtime? They both get their specials really fast and ifbyou pair them with faster weapons to compensate then it may help with that issue. Tri-Nouvea isn't a bad idea either since you can play it more defensively/support similar to how splattershot jr plays in Splatoon 2. I think Kyo had some success with that but i could be wrong. Redit/Pencil/Double Shot or Redit/Tri-N/Double Shot i can see working fine. Maybe replace one of the shots with a blaster since there's a lot of chip damage with these bomb heavy comps? Especially with CRB now available.
if you consider where a pencil and an edit would want to position, then consider the time it would take for one to trade the other back if it got caught out by something like a splattershot (especially if they don't have charge ready because they spent it all trying to pressure enemies in mid), it should quickly become clear that yeah, having two weapons with very long charge-up times is absolutely too slow to not be easily exploited. zap and potentially tri-nouveau would be your most relevant cooler options, and the range they play at makes them much more likely to go down before they get special (because they have to push in further to reach uninked turf). dapples has the same problem but worse, dynamo is already a map/mode specific niche pick, and h-3 needs some kind of buff because it just can't keep up with stronger cooler options like edit and pencil if h-3 became some kind of god tier painter then i think something like h-3/vstamp/range/nedit could be a viable comp, but realistically you'd have to pick nzap as your cooler weapon and that's just plain riskier compared to using vedit/pencil
having two splatlings that have a really high charge time will lead to the team comp having a lot of downtime, which is a huge problem that can be exploited at top level. Splatlings are also inherently slower than other weapon classes, which doesn't do well in this meta. At least, that's my theory.
This + you don't want multiple midrange weapons, you ideally want to paid a midrange weapon like vedit with short ttk weapons like vshot dualies etc that can take advantage of the crossfire@@thesecondtonysoprano
THERE'S A CRAB. THERE'S A CRAAAAAAB.
CRAB SPOTTED CRAB SPOTTED
We should call it the Credit (Crab + Edit) because I'm sure the red tank changes color depending on your ink color.
I like Nedit, it's an awful name, but it is funny
Finally someone else who agrees 😭🙏
I can't believe they actually gave it Splat Bomb. I was expecting something like Beacon or Sprinkler.
Same
IS THAT A CRAB? THATS A CRAB! CRAB SPOTTED! CRAB SPOTTED!
@@sagittariusa2145 THERE IS A F**KING CRAB
Ah yes, ProChara enthusiasts
Thought it was a 60%-inktank sub, too.
nah i'm gonna use credit
Actually underate name
we also got a new sashimori image, peak update
edit: holy shit we got a new song too
yeah Paul looks older now

I'm so happy the second kit has crab. I fell in love with this weapon the second I saw this new splatting in the Drizzle Season.

What I'm thinking is you could throw a splatbomb, have a charge up, fire while backing up to keep them at bay, pop off crab tank. Unga bunga.
As a Crab Tank user, as well as a frequent Splat Bomb user plus a heavy edit user?? This kit makes me super happy
My team is so excited for so many of these kits. Sword, Dualies, Edit, and Range Blaster are going to be tried out.
Nintendo remembered Splat Bomb and Burst Bomb exists ❤
those are literally two of the most distributed subs what are you waffling on?????

I'm 1,115,000 out of 1,160,000 for 5 Star Heavy Edit. I WILL complete this before the update.
Update?
@@nairu807 ya know...the update that has to release for the new season to happen?????? Like literally every season???
S1 zimi walked so splaroon 3 heavy edit could run. I'll be playing this a lot. 👋😬

And yet they still ruin a kit (also there is a weapon with splashdown I think it's the Dullies (don't quote me on that)
Custom explo and the new bow crying because of no crabtank
Edit getting much more love than any other splatling again :'c
We just gotta hope that a good pencil nerf will bring ballpoint back
Its not red, its just whatever color your team has
