This has too be by far the best ice fishing, and probably fishing channel period, on UA-cam. The quality and professionalism on this channel is astounding! Keep up the amazing shows!
Andy you are the number one reason i am now a sub. your respect for fish and not keeping any was beyond great sportsmanship. you are a true outdoorsman. i believe in letting the big ones go and keeping the smaller ones. i’m sure it doesn’t hurt to keep a jumbo 13+ every now and then but man those Perch are just beautiful. great video guys. James your a funny man would enjoy a day on the ice with you.
Awesome show guys, I went to my grandparents house getting ready to fish the Chippewa flowage and he said " I have a good idea what to do I found this new show on fox sports north" . Great show
The colors on these perch are so bright. I'm fishing on Lake Nipissing and our perch have more toned down greens.
Good info,in my experience on western reservoirs big perch are deep 40-50 ft at first ice then move shallower .
Wow...now Idaho is on my bucket list for ice fishing trips.
I'll be there monday again can't wait!!!! Yahoooo!!!! Buddies coming down from alberta with a side by side so we're going to tear it up!
WOW GIANT'S. Thanks for another chance too see more options of great fishery around the ice belt.
jesus them are some honey boo boo perch !
Lmao
Best fishing show and host ever! I just wish they would do a little pic in pic of their flasher in the top corner to teach us minions what to look for. These guys are pros, some of us have a ways to go yet!
Great job releasing the big ones.
Why is it that James always has to provide the forceps with everyone that he fishes with? Almost every episode nobody but James has one on them. lol Great show guys.
I have never seen perch like this! Great show with so much info for us to apply to our own fishing tactics. I know a few guys that ice fish Lake Gogebic in Michigan's UP for perch, haven't had a chance to fish that lake but I've seen these guy's wall hangers to check it out someday.
Sweet, I'm headed up to Cascade again tomorrow 😍
Check out the google earth photos of the general area and you’ll quickly realize there aren’t many people nearby. I think CL is about 80 mi from Boise, and most folks that head up to CL are going to the ski resorts in the winter. There’s only one small bait shop in town, one fishing guide (Idaho is not liberal with guide licenses), and it’s a really huge lake!
You guys are so inspireing haven't been able to go ice fishing yet too warm but maybe next year
Nice video guys! Them are some slobs that's for sure!
Definitely on the hit list for next year!!! Great show James and Andy!!
I don't care for your video I'm watching it and when you throw that size perch back if you don't like getting them and don't want to take them home you could give them to somebody it does I don't know why you just want to just make videos and not consume what you're catching but other than that like I said I won't watch your videos if you're going to do that like I said there's a lot of hungry people in this world and you don't need to be throwing them back
@@kenbond8018 move on if you you don’t like it!! Not all of us believe in killing every fish we catch!!!
You guys are great my son and i are gonna go up sat. Thanks for the info
just love the shot at 17:30, amazing.
James can you do a tips and tricks video on your sled setup? GPS, auger holder, rear box, even packing essential gear in the otter.
I would like that as well....
thanks for another great show! thumbs up!
I'm traveling to Cascade Lake this summer, but I haven't found any guides or anyone who can take me out on a boat to haul in some of these monsters. Any recommendations? It seems other species of fish are the focus for all guide services there and they just don't target perch. I'm also hoping to produce a video for my channel if that makes a difference one way or another. Thanks Andy! My name is Randy if that makes the show sound more fun. Andy and Randy on the perch coming this summer! Ha, ha, ha!
Seriously monster perch! Liked and subscribed!!
Another great episode, Gents!
Damn good video of Cascade again gentlemen! I appreciate all of the relevant recon and in depth detail you guys put into your videos. I'm 2 hours away from Cascade (Nampa) & was just up near Poison Creek section of Cascade on Jan 27th myself, my biggest Perch was a nice 14.75" fatty too but I took her home with me, the meat is too tasty to put her back, we were on foot and fishing was fairly slow, it appears staying mobile is the key! I'm headed back again on Feb 11th Perch Assault event is going on then! Sadly I don't have a sled nor tracks for my side by side RZR800 to stay more mobile, we've just been snow shoeing around. Does anyone use their UTV on the ice to get more mobile without tracks on Cascade? If so I'd love to hear from you!
Wow. Those are some big slab humpy's. I'm going to have to make a trip up there.
what an amazing fishery!
Have you ever tried Lake Gogebic in Upper Michigan it has some giant perch and a lot of walleye.
Really pretty fish. Often in the videos they look very much like the European perch, but here it is clearly visible why they're called "yellow". Although this American version is considerably smaller than the European one, it is clearly more colourful :)
great video !! can't wait till spring tho!! keep em up
17:30 Talk about an awesome back drop!
love the show !
Awesome!!!!
nice perch! I'm curious, though - why, when you're catching really nice perch like this, is there nobody else around? I can't see anyone on the lake but you and that leaves me shaking my head - doesn't anyone out there ice-fish??
Looks like I'm going to Idaho!
hey IDO staff, would you guys ever consider doing a show on Lake Winnebago, WI on whitebass fishing?
Anthony X I'm heading up from Kenosha this weekend to fish bago... hoping for my walleye limit and "thousands" of white fish! Haha
GotTwins29 good luck! Awesome fishery
GotTwins29 from kenosha heading up to sturgeon bay this weekend
When do you fish the rippin rap vs slab rap. I have seen you guys using the slab rap a lot and not the rippin rap.
we use slab grabber for icefishing jumbos at lake simcoe (Ontario) works great
great video 🐡👍💯💯💯
What type of rod should I be using for jigging???
great video
James, what was the date you fished this lake on this episode?
good fishing video..
Going up there this weekend
Ice fishing here in southeast Iowa is all but over.

Not all heroes wear capes
I'm in Vermont and caught 54 perch only 2 were under 11 inches and hand a personal best 15 inch 1.89 pounds

Marc Bergeron he's fishing with a Tuned Up Custom Rods Bullwhip and the reel is an Okuma Ceymar C10
Were you fishing on the weed line
Love this show. Those Idaho perch have genetic defects. They are just chubs with tails. Great show. Awesome episode. Thank you James and crew.
i fish at cascade all of the time! i live in idaho so thats why
I have a cabin very close to the lake I can walk a half mile and go fishing I have caught tons of perch but the catfishing is where it is at.

i like the spot on the spot segmint
some nice giant perch good job
what rod is Andy using??
face Thao I'm guessing the bull whip
I think it's TUCR Quick Tip
WHAT ARE YOU TIPPING YOUR SPOONS WITH?
I think he said spikes maybe maggots or waxies.
in-depth do a fishing vid in big stone SD
The folks at home are hungry da
10/10
Lake Erie got it beat by a long shot for perch in my opinion .
Why is it every perch video acts like the lake they are on has perch people all over the country would love to be able to catch ? There are big perch all over little lakes , all of the Great Lakes and connecting waters . And obviously all over the country
Why not wear gloves? I can reel my ice rod in while wearing gloves and I dont lose my fingertips to the cold.
i live in cascade idaho
damn dude, you can and will damage their jaw holding them at 90° by their bottom lip.
Are you guys just wanted show up
It doesn't look like that area gets much fishing pressure. Considering the perch's reproductive capability, keeping enough for a few meals wouldn't be likely to impact the population. I know that I wouldn't have left without a limit of them.
I gets plenty of pressure over the past few years.... not a secret
Trying to be like wfn with the 22 commercials every 6 mins. Such a joke
