Fitting a Vintage Watch Crystal

I heard a story that the Zenith Electronics company from the USA acquired the Swiss Zenith Watch Manufacturer back in the 1970's or 1980's. The speculation was that they wanted control of the Zenith brand name. Some time later the parent company decided to shut down some of the Swiss watch making and ordered that facilities should be dismantled and disposed of. This included the tools, equipment and design information for the El Primero Chronograph. The story was that one of the Swiss Zenith guys disobeyed the management directive and moth balled all of the tools and information. Apparently he sealed the kit into a cellar of loft or similar. It was forgotten about for a number of years. Eventually the watchmaker regained its independence, I think in the 1990's. The kit was dusted down and manufacture of the El Primaro was resumed. It would be nice to think that the hero of the story was richly rewarded. some how I doubt it. It's a great story. I hope it is true.

Lol, all I have is about 300 flat crystals and maybe 3 domed crystals.
