Thanks for the nice tutorial , can you please show the same thing again but this time choose the upper and lower plate are cold and hot temperature respectively and the two sides are the adiabatic ? I can not converge my model on high Rayleigh number , why is that? any ideas?
when i solve this problem for nanofluid non dimensionally, solution is not converging. Then governing equation has terms or ratio of properties of nanofluid to base fluid. can you help me in this regard?
Nice tutorial indeed! I have tried to vary some parameters and DeltaT was impossible to change - i changed and it doesn't apply in the solution - any ideas?
I have to simulate a breaking dam with comsol. I want to start simulating a column of water collapse in air in a tank, please some idea? I'm new of comsol.
Thank you sayeed. keep up the good work. i am also trying to learn comsol.. would you help me find the comsol 5.a version?? (would you mind if i bother you sometimes for comsol related informations ?)
Riyadh Sust I will try to find the Comsol 5.0a version. I use 5.2 and got it from my thesis supervisor. But will look for it. Yes of course you can ask any questions related comsol. Although you must know I have limations too. What type of work are you trying to do???
Riyadh Sust great. You are on right track. I hope my tutorials give you the gist of working with comsol. But working with nano fluids i would recommend try validating an easier worl from conferences paper and then try complicated onces
thanks for this tutorial :) i am a student and i am working on modeling of convective drying of fruit which is considered as a porous media. i am trying to do a multiphysic problem. The model is based on the heat and mass transfer equations and the mechanical equilibrium equation under the assumptions of plane deformation, viscoelasticity and isotropic hydric shrinkage. however, i find many problems in simulating this problem since i am not so good at using comsol. would you please give us a tutorial on this subject ?
Actually you have a lot of physics going down there. I think the main problem is you need to couple them otherwise the solution will never converge o the results will be inconclusive
i have to couple 3 physics : heat transfer in porous media , transport of diluted species and solid mechanics.. the problem is when i couple the first two physics i get result , but when i add the "solid mechanics" i don't get result for the stress or strain .. for more details of the boundry conditions i only have a fixed constraint on the bottom
hello sayed iam mohamed a student in mechanical engineering department in university of alexandria and i need your advice to learn comsol . you should have a lot of tutorials so can you give it to me
Mohamed actually these tutorials were designed as how my professor taught me COMSOL. So I dont have any other tutorials. COMSOL is a multiphysics software so tthere would be thousand of tutorials. I just focused the heat transfer part in brief for my younger Mechanical Engineering students studying in BUET as a heads up. Thank you :)
i appreciate your interest in reply but can you tell me your steps from zero to the level you are in now what have you down cause comsol have just cases but donot have things to make you understand how comsol think .
Too much supportive and helping tutorial.. Thanks for making this
always egyptian on top

Thank You for such a nice tutorial. Its really helpful for COMSOL users.
thanks a lot
Great tutorial! This tutorial is very helpful for the beginner.
Nice tutorial, How can we add the mathematics or PDEs in comsol? If I have my own fluid model then how can add the mathematics?
What is the average nusselt number equation for this problem ?

Hey, Could you get the solution to your problem ?

I am getting an error in body force, can you help??

I tired that and follow the same steps but at the end it gives error
Thank you sayeed. keep up the good work.

i am trying to simulate nano-fluids effect on solar thermal plate..

i am thinking in the same way.. can you provide me your e-mail or facebook account?? we could discusses and share our thoughts...
Please
how can i get this pdf ?
thanks for this tutorial :)

can i get ur email , maybe i could show you the problem with more details please ?
if u 've got time of course ^_^
thank you mohmmed but I need to ask you have you a tutorial in how we calculate nusselt number for this cavity
thanks again
I think so i should make another tutorial for that :D
@saba yassoub if u got any tutorial to calculate nusselt number or to level streamlines in comsol please post the links. Thanks :)
Sayeed if u hv made any tutorial on nusselt number please share the link
@@SayeedMohammed_mr_petuk Sir ..we are waiting for your next tutorial of streamline plot and finding Nusselt number
Hi who can help me to know how we calculate nusselt number for this cavity? Thanks in advance

Thank you for the detail explanation in this tutorial. Can you send me "Buoyancy flow in free fluid" pdf?, please!!
kuma moti It's available for free in Application Gallery on Comsol's website ;-)
