He's given every player, every opportunity to form chemistry.

@stevealder5180 the franchise listened to the fans on Swayman.
The amazing thing is after seeing what's going on this season, none of these fair weather fans are going back to ask what they actually spoke about in arbitration 2 summers ago.
      🤔
I wish we could see the transcript from arbitration - then fans will learn that GM's are better off not listening to fans!
I have gone over it dozens times citing very specific examples -
Jeremy got those delusional statistics by Linus ullmark carrying the much heavier load, and coach goalie Bob Esessna hand-picking his schedules down to each roster.
Jeremy does not take on big boy Western teams in their houses.
I don't believe he's ever met stone, eichel, and maybe not even McKinnon!
      That was Linus's job.
A year ago, Jeremy was struggling and nobody noticed because Linus covered so well!
Jeremy got his Jennings award off the back of Linus.
And if the real auston Matthews finally showed up to a playoffs? Jeremy would be happy to get $5 million aav!
I wish we could open up that arbitration transcript.
Then fans would not have been chanting "Jeremy is the future of the Bruins!" all that time!
Not trusting Cam Neely and the suits, I get
But not trusting goalie coach Bob Essesna is a major oversight by most fans - someone they've been taking for granted for the past 20 seasons!

Swayman should wear a mask because he’s robbing the Bruins blind

    • @TheFoolintherainn
      @TheFoolintherainn Місяць тому

@kendiscoboy well he's not incorrect and saying the players should receive more salary
An unproven wannabe goalie and a greedy sports agent shouldn't be advocating.
The NHL players Union are likely the bigger rip-off
We went through this already with Lewis Gross and Tori Krug
Lewis gross is not a friend of the Bruins
Jeremy was handpicked by Gross to be the next chapter
The collective bargaining agreement is coming up in 2026.
That's where it needs to be addressed.
Hockey players are getting ripped off. Because they paid massive commissions, fees, foreign players have to pay 4-6 different taxes
Every player has to pay a tax in the city and sometimes state where they play games.
When covid hit, they forced players to take their salaries so all the leeches along the way, including government taxes could get paid
Then they had to spend the next two seasons paying it back!
While the salary cap remain stagnant
When we signed Charlie mcavoy, all the scuttlebutts said the salary cap was going to be shooting up significantly.
Which would dwarf his percentage of our salary cap
That's why some question his current aav % and contract under these current circumstances
      Nobody anticipated the panic-demic
Franchise owners are making a disproportionate amount of money.
And they're clearly in control - because when Arizona moved to utah, that wasn't a new franchise.
      That was a move
But the NHL team owners voted it to be a new franchise because they all collect part of the revenues Utah Hockey club has to pay to the NHL to open their doors
Every team owner in the NHL is making money off of the Utah Hockey club?
That tells me, there needs to be a shift.
Additionally, they're taking away job security. Team owners want contracts no more than 5 years.
NHL players union negotiated 7 years on first contracts and other considerations for extensions.
It's becoming too much of a business
Bruins didn't believe Jeremy was the future of their Bruins after the first couple of seasons - why they tried bringing Rask back
I wish they would make public the details of his arbitration, they'll show you the cracks in their goalie that they can't show the rest of the NHL to keep up his value
But he sold a lot of tickets and jerseys, made a major contribution to paying back the panic-demic debt
      That was a lot
      🎤 Drop.

Marchand's right about one thing: their compete level is awful. Like the Jackets' second goal on their PK by Olivier. For me, that goal typified Boston's lack of respect for the night's work. Coyle played Olivier too light along the boards and into the corner, allowing him to get around him and in on Swayman. Coyle's checking in that instance was not hard enough or tight enough to take Olivier out of the play. Seems like the Bruins play like they're waiting for the other team to lose the game instead of them trying to win it.

i played a fair amount of hockey, year round for about 8 years into college and juniors. you had regular season hockey, where you would play it tight and sacrifice for the team. you never quit on a play and you would take the huge hit to get the puck out of your zone. then you had off season, when you would backcheck at half speed because you're hung over or you work on your own skills in games. it is selfish hockey, but nobody cares because everyone is doing it. the bruins are playing summer league hockey -- all of 'em.

I've noticed him coming out in the media lately, there's a new video on Cam Neely that came out 3 days ago
He's become more vocal in the media
I have a feeling he's fighting for his job.
      Which would be right.
Monty has done nothing but offer these players every opportunity to form chemistry.
He's got pasta trying to bring the puck up ice on his own creating giveaways.
      Uncoachable team.
Elias Lindholm took up a good chunk of our salary cap, he's supposed to be the fixer..... Where is Elias?
      This isn't on Monty.
Plug in any other coach and they're not going to get anywhere with Cam Neely at the helm.

    • @coreyk98
      @coreyk98 Місяць тому +3

@TheFoolintherainn the comment was simply mentioning a fact, that you even agreed with. He’s “fighting for his job”.
Secondly, you’re not wrong that Neely shares a lot of the blame.
3rdly, the Lindholm and Zadarov signings are terrible and mostly everyone that follows NHL hockey knew that going into it
4th “isn’t all on Monty” doesn’t mean 0% on Monty. “He’s given them plenty of opportunities for chemistry.” Yet, our best line, the fourth, is broken up for Jeffery Viel and Tyler Johnson.. yea Kastelic got hurt, but that doesn’t mean sit Keopke??.. he’s our best +/- player on the team.
It doesn’t change how the lines get butchered every game, and we moved our 3rd best ExGF (expected goals for) player in (Poistras) back down to the AHL from a team that’s struggling to score?.. like production may not have been there, but the advanced stats show hes one of our better players yet Monty sends him down to be replaced with 4th line grinders
Maybe try developing our rookies and young kids like Merky, Poistras and Lysell at NHL speeds and let them make mistakes and learn..??
How about back to the 2022/23 playoffs when Ullmark lost us game 5 in OT and we went back to him game 6 to lose and then swayman got thrown into fix the fire?..
It’s not all on him but dude needs to go man

    • @TheFoolintherainn
      @TheFoolintherainn Місяць тому

@coreyk98 that's a good comment... Thanks for taking the time.
When we have a line or a core that's producing well - moving their feet - and the rest of the players are not? It's not a bad idea to break up that line to see if they can bring their magic elsewhere.
And then Monty put them back together.
The injuries, trades? Are not on Monty.
Many of us have been calling out Cam Neely for the past 3 - 4 seasons
I stand behind the franchise for going all in Bergeron's last season. The locker room asked for it, GM gave Patrice Bergeron what he wanted.
Would you go against Patrice Bergeron?
I will agree to disagree -I don't believe Monty has lost the locker room. I think he's more a voice representing the frustrated players.
But I do believe Cam Neely has lost his team. Google his name and you'll see recent videos & news about "his legacy"
That's got me suspicious that he's going. Suddenly trying to re-establish his legacy as a player!
but I'm impressed by your factual response.
Very much appreciate your effort in using facts.
We knew this rebuild was coming since Chara left
I'm going to stand by Montgomery for now.
I believe our biggest loss was Heinan - that was Monty's boy. He brought him in.
Cam Neely took away his veteran Swiss army knife.
Hainan got the best statistics in his career under Monty.
Unfortunately, those prospects are not as good as they've been hyped up to be. We haven't had any great draft picks. Get a franchise needs to keep the draft picks hyped up so they're ready for the trading block at any time.
We're not going to get a Bedard or Suzuki anytime soon unless we tank!
And I would rather bring in established roster players - they don't need to be toilet trained. We know what we're getting.
Thanks for your respectful and factual reply
Enjoy the game however way you can!

Now he's asked to be a captain to a bunch of kids. Alongside him are McAvoy, Pasta, Carlo, Coyle. None of those guys are leaders either so they can't really help Marchand in the room.
Unfortunately it's just a bad mix of guys and Marchand's best days were when he was supporting a crew of leaders. Now those guys are all gone and it's just him now teaching some kids how to compete.

@@rfan6382that's an interesting comment... I will say, it was much easier for Patrice Bergeron to be Captain when he had leadership like Chara on the team.
Nick foligno may not have shown up in statistics, yet he was a very important part of the leadership in the locker room. Patrice Bergeron had something to do with him coming into the Bruins locker room.
Brad Marchand does not have the support that Patrice Bergeron nor Chara enjoyed.
But champions don't ride a smooth road to A championship.
*A champion' is formed by overcoming adversity.
That's what tells me these must be young fans making these comments because you don't remember the mass of adversity Bruins overcame just getting that 2011 cup
The leadership was not Bergeron and Marchand during that cup run.
I think Patrice Bergeron is a distraction at this point. His last season, Brad Marchand captained the team against Florida Panthers - led the team to 3 - 1 in the series
Then Patrice Bergeron returned from injury and we proceeded to lose three games in a row
      Think about that.

    • @rfan6382
      @rfan6382 Місяць тому +1

@TheFoolintherainn tbh I dreaded Bergeron coming back in that Florida series 2 years ago. The team found some desperate chemistry without him, maybe in order to make up for being without him, but then you gotta ride it out. Dont mess with it. Don't force him back into the mix. They immediately looked awful that game that he came back in. Monty started the game with absolutely bizarre lines but each game from that point forward the team looked scared.
Personally I think the problem today is that its a bad mix of guys. The old core has been slowly dwindling away until it's hanging on by just a thread now surrounded by new players. It can't work.
I love Marchand and can see that he is a special form of elite on the ice but unfortunately I think the Bruins wont win anything until he and Bergeron are finally off the ice (put them in front office with Chara as strength and conditioning coach) and a new era begins.

Time and time again I see athletes of every sport, sign a big contract and then watch them have their play take a nosedive. Apparently, that's a no-no topic to talk about among athletes, coaches, management and sports writers alike to discuss. But again, I see it with a high percentage of "Big Contract" athletes. It's the "Fat Head" syndrome. Does anyone else see this? And as far as Monty being done, Sweeney and maybe Neely need to go as well. It's bad enough having an owner who really is less concerned with championships as long as the tickets sell. It is a business but that doesn't mean it can't be successful.

    • @TheFoolintherainn
      @TheFoolintherainn Місяць тому +1

Ooh - signs of intelligence on here!
I just read something about this before I tripped across your comment...
This is from "the hockey news"
"Will Shorter Contract Terms Be A Point Of Contention In The NHL's Next Labor Deal?
The NHL is considering the length of player contracts to be tweaked in the next labor deal in 2026.... NHL players have fought hard for that term length, and they won't easily give it up in negotiations.
In 2012, when the NHL and NHL Players’ Association were hashing out a new collective bargaining agreement, one of the biggest points of contention was the issue of players' contract lengths.
Team owners were seeking maximum contract lengths of five years, but ultimately, the players negotiated a maximum contract length of seven years for players joining a new team, and eight years for players re-signing with their current team.
From the league’s perspective, shorter contract lengths would address teams’ fears that a player's value depreciates significantly when they enter their thirties. And there was at least one study that backed up that perspective - a British Columbia study that suggested NHL forwards hit their peak at age 28, and defensemen peaked at age 29. So you could see why the league would want to limit contract terms as much as the players would allow."
I understand the need for job security.
Additionally, the franchise and NHL revenues are taking off at a disproportionate rate to player salaries.
One of the sneaky things that went on during the covid? They forced players to take their salaries whether they wanted to or not.
Because there's so many leeches along the way that need to suck off of their salaries starting with their agents commissions, local state federal and foreign taxes
And then after they resumed playing again, they forced to players to pay back that salary?
That was craziness and told me the suits had taken over the game.
It also makes me suspicious that the representatives of the NHL players association have been bought out by Gary Bettman and the NHL
Jeremy, with his agent Lewis gross, should not be the ones advocating for higher players salaries.
That's what the NHL players association representatives are supposed to be doing
Hockey used to be the blue collar poor Man's sport. Making far less revenues than anybody cared about and they just left us the hell alone
      Hockey is not for everyone
      And that's okay!
      ✌️

It's interesting because the last week, there have been Cam Neely videos out.
Just three days ago a video came out about Cam Neely being the best right winger in the league,
      Going over his legacy
Makes me suspicious that he's on the chopping block.
And they're giving him a chance to re-establish his legacy before he gets chopped!
I don't actually know, but it's very suspicious that suddenly I'm seeing Cam Neely videos talking about his legacy.
Monty is not the problem. They let the leadership Go - I think trading Danton heinen was the biggest mistake
That was our Swiss army knife, leadership.
He knows the Bruins system and he had worked with Monte in Colorado in his younger days
I believe he was brought back in at the request of Montgomery.
      Cam Neely let him go.
Montgomery has never had an opportunity to put his special teams together. That requires your starting goalie to show up at training camp
The goalie is a huge part of the pk.
Elias lindholm, Max Jones coming in and out of training camp?
Monty was set up to fail.
As was Jeremy swayman. Because he was never going to be the future of the Bruins.
Faked out a lot of fans buying lots of number one jerseys and tickets.

@hossbonaventure coyle is one of the most versatile players we have - talk about battle boards...
Why would you want to give up coyle?
He's got one of our most consistent Face-Off percentages.
Additionally, it finally came out last February that for 2 1/2 seasons, Charlie has been playing injured.
      Bum knee
He finally got surgery, had to rehab from surgery..... Then finally two summers ago he was able to train hard and we saw him explode.
My first question after seeing his locker room interview was - where the hell are the Bruins multi-million-dollar training staff?
Coyle had been playing injured almost since he came over from the wild.
I barely caught it in a locker room interview -but I listen to it three times.. Charlie told them directly
      reporters totally missed it.
Third line centers are some of the most dynamic players to watch - they have to be ready to take on the likes of Alex ovechkin, mckinnon, McDavid - and then they have to be ready to take on the newbies trying to prove themselves in the NHL
      Coyle can play with anybody.
Look at his battle boards - I just put up a crappy video have one of his more recent battle boards, on his knees, passing that puck - that led to a goal.
. He set it up, but because he was the fourth touch on that puck, he didn't get any point for assist
      That's Charlie
Be careful what you wish for.
We already lost our Swiss army knife, Hainan
Why do you think Coyle needs to go?

Don't fault Montgomery for the team's poor performance but the moment ticket sales go down, Jacobs will order that Montgomery be fired. If Sweeney had it his way, he would have dealt Swayman for draft picks and would deal anyone on the roster who brought in more draft picks. But Jacobs wont allow that so M needs to bring in a hard ass coach like Mike Babcock . If this tean has the level of talent that many fans & several in the media think, Babcock will squeeze it out of them.

    • @TheFoolintherainn

Yeah - not a big deal looking at phones in canada. When I go through border patrol, they take all our devices to go through them
There is no privacy in canada.
Read the player safety committee head job description...
"To monitor players behavior both on and off the ice'
They can demand any hockey players cell phone at any time! For any reason!
But Bruins have had enough controversy in the media.. still blows my mind about that Mitch Miller situation. Don Sweeney's dad was known for being a vice principal that gave kids second third fourth chances
Getting bashed on the ice by people his own size would have been perfect for a personality like Mitch Miller to grow up.... Hockey is puberty on ice
That entire story with the white Foster mother was pure bull to begin with
Who would leave their kid in a situation where they're being abused for over a decade while cashing in on fostering kids?
      Some fat white lady.
If Mitch was flipping burgers at mcdonald's, I don't picture her banging down the manager's door to stop him from getting that job!
But even the fans turned on Sweeney for trying to give that kid a chance - he had outstanding statistics. And when another team declined to sign him, nhl, Gary Bettman left him on the trading block, set up another team to take the fall.
So bringing Babcock in would just make things worse.
Put "cam neely," in your UA-cam and internet search bars
see what recent videos and news you're coming up with.
They just posted a video on his legacy about 3 days ago..... I'm starting to think that Cam is on The chopping block.
      As it should be

When Charlie McAvoy signed, we anticipated the salary cap would be shooting up significantly, which would dwarf his contract under the aav percentage
      Covid screwed up revenue trajectories.
B's biggest loss this season? Letting Danton Heinen go.
I've always been a jake debrusk fan -clearly has some seasonal affective disorder. Plays in the fall, has dry spells over winter, then comes out like a bat out of hell for playoffs!
That was good enough for this fan
was counting on him being a career Bruin.
I'm still on the fence as to whether that was a bad trade. After we let Taylor Hall go? Jake was our only speedy Gonzales veteran
And I don't want to hear about sway. From day one I was warning fans - he is not a starter goalie on an elite team!
Any goalie skills coach can look at his lack of height, lack of technical abilities.. lack of international experience.
      Hullo?!
He is a solid goalie, trying to play beyond his capabilities because all the fans kept calling him "the future of the Bruins!"
      🙄
They trashed the hell out of Linus ullmark his first 2 - 3 months
I got off the internet for a while because it got so abusive trying to stand up for Ullmark, pointing out the serious flaws in Jeremy.
And I went through the same thing with Joonas Korpisalo!
