Michelle actually seems like a reasonable mother/person compared to many of the original moms, I have no idea why Abby hates her so much. I admire how the other girls and moms stick up for her and Sarah.

GiaNina wasn’t even that bratty, half of the time she was just trying to voice her opinion and stand up for herself and i don’t think there’s really a problem with that, the producers just try and make it look like she’s a brat and that’s the problem with reality TV
abby and all the drama is turning sarah against michelle. and it’s pathetic. i feel horrible for both of them.
edit : i’m not saying that michelle was right in anything that she did. but abby was dead wrong for brainwashing sarah into thinking that going against her mother was right.
These kids and mother's really don't get how toxic dance mom's is Like why do you think (nia,Mackenzie Maddie,Chloe,Paige,Brooke,kalani, Brynn, etc) won't speak to Abby this show plus Abby is toxic the only reason those kids are on the show is because of the fame and Abby they really dont get it like let's be honest Abby has ruined sooooo many children passion for dance , self confidenc , ruined friendships and ppl say it's bc she is a dance teacher Abby has called children fat , ugly and even more stuff.

Like I get dealing with loss can be very hard and have an effect on you through time, but there's no reason for her to act that way and say: "I'm a dance teacher" "My family died of cancer" "I had cancer" Like at first it was understandable but now it's like an excuse just to make the kids look like brats when they talk bad or try to say their opinion and it honestly disgusts me. I only watch DMs for the dances cus the girls are so talented and I'm a dancer too so I enjoy watching other dancers. But other than that, the drama is unnecessary.

Well clearly Sarah is more mature than Michelle. She understands that in life everything won’t always be your way and her mother hasn’t quite gotten that yet.
I honestly feel like it’s too harsh to force your kid to choose you or a dream they’ve been working for basically there whole life. Sarah isn’t choosing Abby over Michelle, she just knows that there’s no way anyone can change Abby’s mind, and that it would be easier for her mother to just stay quiet and go upstairs.

No it's not. It's making it stronger. Sarah is at the age where she will find her own voice and do what she wants. Sarah's mother is hurting her dance career and Sarah is letting her know. It is always a shock for a mother when their daughter first starts to tell them they don't need them but it happens to everyone and they get over it. It's why these women need hobbes and other interests or careers because then they don't feel worthless when their kids don't need them anymore.

A mother telling her 12 year old that it’s her fault and that she’s “choosing” Abby over her is completely wrong. She’s 12 years old. Doing that to a kid, making her feel like it’s all up to her, making her the bad person is completely wrong. She’s a child. Michele is an adult. You don’t do that to your child. I can’t imagine the pressure Sarah is under and she’s a kid getting to live her dream. As a child you think that that is your only shot. Sarah didn’t do anything wrong. She simply wanted to not get shouted at and kicked out of the studio another freaking time.
It's not about Sarah choosing Abby over Michelle, it's about Sarah choosing her dream over her mom just stepping out of a room. All's she had to do was patiently wait upstairs until she could talk to Abby. Sarah has fought for her dream and she's not dumb enough to let her mom ruin it.
im not bashing her or anything, but if someone insulted my mother in that way and called her garbage and trash,, I would kindly say, I’m sorry but I won’t let anyone talk about my mother like that and I will not involve myself in a situation of this kind. so thank you for the opportunity but I will be leaving.

For us in front of are TVs and phones it’s always easier to judge...

I understand both perspectives... I think that the mom should stay out of it if she really cares for Sarah and her dream but also Sarah shouldn't have talked to her mother that way, especially when her mom was already upset.... I think that Sarah's mom is doing the best that she knows how to do and yes she isn't perfect but I wouldn't be so quick to judge, especially since production twists everything around for TV. 😔

Rosie Hockey97 I agree, that pitting the child against her own mother is terrible and something that should never have happened. I only question the mothers handling of the situation. What did she think, that Abby would let her come back as if nothing ever happened? If her daughter really wanted to go back they should have put together a game plan or at least come to an understanding that this would happen. After all, Abby has never had any problems making her disgust of the mothers known.

Everyone is trashing Sarah. Sarah is a young girl. You do NOT have to pick family before other people, you are not OBLIGATED to your family. If you come from a family that has been kind to you, parents who love you unconditionally, then it’s a different story. If you come from parents who mistreat you, abuse you, etc. make your own choices. I think Sarah was brave to speak up for herself. Her mother will always be there for her, and she knows that.
