i feel like kendall was labelled as a bit of a crybaby when honestly she was one of the only girls who openly showed their emotions and stood up for themselves
The problem was that Jill acted like a hypocrite and people pinned it on Kendall. Chloe and Paige went through very similar treatment, but they stuck it out, and everyone compared Kendall because at every correction Jill jumped in the middle and took her away. I think part of her label was because of Jill.
That’s probably why she’s the only emotionally stable one now

It’s obvious she wasn’t just crying, she was having panic attacks. You can tell it’s anxiety. And yet, people belittled her. She really deserved better :/
What makes me sad is if that were any other girl she'd get sympathy and love. But not always kendall and it's not ok
This is what dance teachers do. I did modern dance for 9 years and quit when I was 16 because my self esteem was in the toilet because of my teacher. I’m 35 now and in hindsight I wish my mom made me stick with it and put me in therapy to deal with my insecurities. Was I the best? Absolutely not. Did I work the hardest to get into the front row? Definitely not. I fell into victimhood and self pity rather than accepting I didn’t work as hard as the other girls. Maddy worked the hardest. It wasn’t because Abby was picking favorites. She was the better dancer and the hardest working dancer.

Honestly if you aren't a professional dancer or a dancer at all you shouldn't be saying who's bad and not talented because you probably could never do what they do and second of all kendall would talk like that with her mother so another fight wouldn't happen plus other reasons we maybe don't know and of course there were moments where kendall was a bit immature but so what! She was a child, for you to say you have no sympathy for her when a child is having a panic attack is very rude.
No. Kendall got away with so much with Abby. I can’t imagine what Abby would have done if Nia or Chloe had behaved same way.

I'm sensitive and cry alot and I'm not afraid to cry infront of people. This is why I respect kendall because abby has shouted at alot of children and kendal was the only one who said to stop and talked back in a good way to Abby. That's what's called a good attitude. But all I think she needs to do is be resilient and not just mess up once and quit. 😊

Maturing and realizing that Kendall was NEVER a "dramatic kid" nor a most used word, "crybaby". She was really misunderstood and is really an amazing dancer that knows how to step her foot down.
As someone with anxiety and stress, I totally get how Kendall feels. You can obviously tell she is stressed and having panic, and anxiety attacks. And fighting and confrontation in front of her makes it worse, I also do that, I stress and overthink a lot.
@@luckynumber1126 different things could trigger her. It makes me nervous when other people get yelled at, but I normally only start to panic when it’s directed at me. People react in different ways and for her it seems like yelling directed at her and arguing involving her is just a trigger. She has obviously been emotionally abused too. Sorry I didn’t make that clearer in my original comment.

For all the times Jill wanted Kendall to have a solo, I applaud her for this moment; at 12:50 Abby said ‘Should Kendall just do it as a solo?’ Now the old Jill would’ve leapt at the opportunity for Kendall to do a solo, even if it meant taking it away from another child (ie the duet with Jojo in this scene) but at 12:52, Jill straight up went ‘No. it’s a duet!’ I feel that this shows how much Jill has grown since her early stages in Dance Moms.

From the start of the show from season 1 I liked Abby because she let the girls have fun with dancing and didn't yell as much as she did later on. When Kendall wrote on the paper what she finds negative, baby read that is said "we never get to do fun things like we used to do." Abby asked Kendall if that's how all the girls felt and she said yes. I think that moment was when Abby realised that she needs to let the girls be kids while it lasts. 7:49

@@jjbrutus8144 ok big guy but people handle different situations in different ways. If you have anxiety on top of what Abby is saying to her it’s difficult. If you haven’t been through constant belittling from a figure like that, as a kid your taught that adults are always right, so when you hear them calling you a “cry baby” and “too old to cry” it makes you feel alienated from everyone else and think they’re right. I could go into so much detail about this cause I know from first hand experience. But you need to remember the dance industry is already a harmful environment anyway, with body shaming and such but that’s not the only harmful thing in the dance industry

Jill makes excuse after excuse for her. Jill thinks she's wonderful and works really hard and has "fire in her belly". Meanwhile she has Maddie, Kalani, Brynn and- earlier on- Chloe, outshining her without question and Kendall phones it in most weeks. So when Kendall doesn't succeed Jill blames everyone else and Kendall has no idea how to cope, while Jill reinforces the behaviour. It's a cycle that Jill needs to break.

DANCER HERE!!! we do the same warm up and stretches everyday, when you do something everyday for months, years, you know it by heart. My teacher required us to stretch on our own every night, so abby does have a point. It really takes 10 minutes.

I honestly feel like kendall wasnt a terrible dancer, she just got stressed. On top of that she said multiple times that she didn't want to do dance anymore, but kept pushing. ( thanks for 600+ likes 🧚🏽💕)
Honestly all of the dancers have probably felt that, it’s so sad that Abby keeps on telling them their best is not good enough.

@@fayth6717 I think what Bri is saying is that you can be harsh and mean, but when you call kids brats or say they need to be taken to a pediatrician, it makes them worse. There are thousands of other dancers in the country (Brady Farrar, Autumn Miller, Briar Nolet, Jessy Lipke, Kendyl Fay, Megan Branch, etc.) who are better than the Dance Moms girls but who don’t have abusive teachers

Nia had her singing career with people Abby didn't approve, so... not that they weren't loyal dance-wise but let's not forget that Abby was their manager as artists so she was expected to give Nia the opportunities in the music industry that she deserved and, as she didn't, she went to find them somewhere else

I feel like people always call Kendall a brat for standing up for herself and using her voice but honestly I think it’s great that she was able to use her voice and express how she felt and her intention was probably never to sound bratty I kinda feel like Brynn was a little bit bratty
I’m glad Kendall uses her voice and when she did Abby acted different from her just crying. I think that really helped Kendall in later seasons and I’m surprised she didn’t end up pushing or doing anything to Jill.
I personally don’t like how Miss Abby compares every dancer with Maddie. It’s unfair. :/

Yeah it’s true ive been watching dance moms for a long time she treats maddie and Mackenzie like vip while the other girls are treated not even close like those two but the moms really need to shut their stinky mouth up their children get kicked out CAUSE OF THEM FOR THEIR MISTAKES
When I played sports my coach did that all the time but it's actually normal because it makes you work harder and when it's your teammate you can also learn from them. Abby is type cruel but she definitely makes these kids get thick skin for the real world because the real world is not PC. Abby does make good dancers but it's where you'd need to have a weekly therapy session to also not become broken by abby's teaching technique.
