I made it and it’s gorgeous. I’m thinking of making a bedspread with every other block a solid. How many rounds of solid granny square would u make each block?
Just seen her new Unicorn Dreams Blanket CAL. ITS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! 😍 would you be willing to do tutorials on the new squares that she has recently done? Myself and others would absolutely love to see them getting worked up and being able to visually see things 💖 Thank you for all that you do Robin 💕
You were where i learnt to crochet after i developed PTSD and needed something to do with my hands, and i've gone from not understanding what i'm looking at to making jumpers and amigurumi without patterns, thankyou so much for your videos
I'm old and one thing I have experienced over the years is the handwork which I stored in cotton or cotton/blend pillowcases held up over the years much better than the items I had stored in plastic containers or those space bags.
THANK YOU SOOOO VERY MUCH!!!! I have tried several other similar vids on here, but yours is the only one that made perfect sense. You are truly a great teacher. I'm doing my roses in a 'cherry' color, the leaves in a sort of dark 'olive', and the background in a 'lemon'. I've noticed that it makes the square look sort of vintage. I'm now making a blanket for my mother. Thank you again for this pattern. :o)
I told my nine year old granddaughter that I would make her any afghan she wanted, including designing one herself. We looked at hundreds of afghans and talked about colors for weeks. This rose square was posted in one of the crochet groups I'm in and I showed it to my granddaughter. She squealed and said, "YES! THAT'S the ONE Grandma! I want a whole afghan done in those!" We bought the yarn yesterday and I am so excited to make this for her! Thank you for making this!
Hello. I'm from Germany and this is my first my work that I copied from you. You explained every step very good and I helped myself out with an translating website to get safely through this tutorial. I'm very satisfied with result. Thank you so much
I love ❤️ your rose square crochet, it’s beautiful! You are a teacher by heart, easy to follow and not frustrating...love it! Thank you for sharing us your beautiful rose granny crochet!
Great video, so beautiful. I made the flower in sea coral, the leaves are frosty green & the background is beige. Looks old fashion. Thanks for sharing your time and appreciate your talents.
Thank you soo much for this video. I have been waiting since my teenager years to find someone to visually teach me how to do a 3d rose within a granny square. Thank you soo much!!
What a beautiful square, so gonna try this. I made one but not sure how to show you not very tech savvy, it is a little wonky but gonna try to make more thank you for the inspiration.
Soooo lovely! My daughter has been asking me for years for a rose blanket. I think this is the one. I'll have to start this soon. You have made it so easy looking, because of that, I'll be able to tackle this difficult looking blanket. Thank you for sharing your technique and video.
@@bevbainbridge5426 hello, no I don't have a tutorial, I would probably slip-stitch this. And there are several tutorials here on UA-cam. Maybe try that. Happy crocheting 😊
l have made 4 of these, with the Irish Rose, the flower alittle different but pretty much the same. I did all this mofit for the whole heir loom blankets for all 4 girls. They all came out beautiful
I just started crocheting again and found your channel. This tutorial was super easy to follow! I'm going to make a blanket for each of my daughters and granddaughter. By the time I finish them I might have more granddaughters to make them for. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you ❤ l have only been crocheting for about two months and I’m so excited to say l actually made this!!! Ended up making a blanket out of this one and your gorgeous little star squares 💖😍so pretty!!!
Hi Robin, I love this square, just finished. Thank you for the sharing this wonderful detailed tutorial and to Lisa H. for her beautiful pattern. Great job ladies!!!!👍👍 Donna
Hi, thank you for this video. I have tried multiple times to crochet a flower and this is the first time I have been able to follow the directions. 😁💕. I am now working on a few projects for Christmas. This definitely one of them! 🤩
I love this pattern. About 35-40 years ago my sister in law and I made 2 afghans using a red rose square like this for my mother and father in law’s camper that had 2 single beds. Unfortunately, our crochet tension of the stitches for the roses and squares looked quite different so when we put the squares together we staggered them around. My mother in law loved the afghans despite the flaws.
I want to make one of these squares into a big blanket. Could you please tell me how I can do that? Tyia. I did the lap blanket and a pillow. They turned out great. Thank you for sharing this with us
Hello Robin... I absolutely LOVE your videos! So clear and so easy for a newbie like myself to follow along. Another one of your patterns, well a couple of them I have done. The kitty mermaid one was a hoot to do, a flower petal I just did, and seen this one you are working on here as well as another one awhile back that I really enjoyed that had like 52 rows, just beautiful, so I took the instructions off your blog, made a copy and not only started the one following along w/ your video, but started on another using the pattern itself. Need to start buying beautiful yarns to learn more and make pretty things. I quilt and sew, and crochet would be good to do for when I am camping and need something to keep my hands busy. Thank you again :)
Great tutorial.I’ve only just started to crochet and was struggling to the point of giving up lol I love this and thought I’d give it a go and its turned out really nice😊xx
They really helped me too - so much more comfortable and relaxed my tension (I'm the queen of the death grip with crochet hooks LOL!) Hope your recovery goes well! X
@@HookedbyRobin I did it. I forgot that the cream wool I have is Aran wool, so I swapped to a smaller hook to do the edge. Thanks so much Robin, this will make a really beautiful quilt.
I love the rose crochet you showed us.I am going to make a cover for my bed using this crochet square.Would you be able to show us which would be the best way to crochet the squares together please.
