Hi Joe, I want a few weeks on the boat, some pay back for last year's work. I plan to get to Hebrides and see some of the small islands. There's some finishing to do, fitting this, the mast and small things I'm still finding like a gear missing from a winch and windlass parts still needed. I think it will be launch and go by June. Glad you're still watching.
@@mjcooke2sailingmostly Always interested to see what local yachtsmen are up to and your always up to something. I've got a boat in my workshop I'm rebuilding but I'm thinking of buying another one I can use now - getting fed up not doing some sailing at least.
@@joeswinny7686 Yes, there needs to be a reward in sea time for all the work. I've found a few boats locally but England's south coast seems to be the best place to find one. I bought three in Scotland, the bonus being a nice holiday to sail them home.
It steers a small tiller connected to the shaft under the cockpit. They don't supply that. Depending on the boat, it can also connect to the front of the quadrant.
Lots for you to play with! Keep us updated. Have a great day.
Yes, it's a lot to do compared with the small tiller ones. It ought to be a great asset though. ☺
Have you any trips planned for this year Mike? taking it you will be splashing the boat soon.

Is that the tiller unit? I've heard good reports about it.
