The Statler Brothers were my momma’s favorite group. She loved their gospel songs. She passed away 2 years ago now and when I hear them sing it reminds me of her. Missing momma lately!
Glad Harold took some time before he went to his reward. They are missed but think of the sacrifices they and their families made. Great sons, of Don and Harold, Wilson Fairchild wrote a tribute song to them, it's beautiful,
R.I.P Harold. May our Lord surround Harold's family, The Stattlers and all those behind the scenes, with Love, Peace, and Comfort. May the remaning Stattlers feel the love and prayers of your fans. GOD BLESS THE STATTLERS.
I grew up with these songs in church when I was younger (I'm now 71) . My question is what has happened to these beautiful hymns? Beautiful Saviour. A Mighty Fortress etc. It use to knock the church walls down because the people got so into the music. Today it just isn't there. Sorry, but Ill Listen to these boys (and they are Boys to me) all day long especially on Sundays.
William Marsh Me, too, at 79. The churches use drums and songs that you never know when they end. Also, I miss being able to hum or sing the songs on my way home and during the week.
This old song grows more dear as I think how Jesus suffered for us to make a way forus to go to Heaven and live with him forever.Thank you Jesus. I love You! ❤️🙏
Wonderful singing with a message. Good Christian men that have been singing the message of God's love for many years. God bless them. I love their music!!
Thank you Statlers for singing this hymn..I have always loved it and you guys did an Awesome job and I think you are tops with this song..May God Bless you all ❤️❤️🙏🙏

I'm glad that he's been recognised and mentioned as he is extremely talented and he doesn't overpower the singers nor vice versa. They complement one another beautifully. God bless them all xxxx these gentlemen are a joy to listen to. Good old fashioned gospel music as it should be xx
Attended one of their concerts in the 70's w/Holly Dunn as the fronting actat the Quandt Field House in Stevens Point WI. What a class act. Holly Dunn was an exceptional vocalist, but she was never covered on too many albums. Wish se would have continued on cause she had a great voice. Joe Engman

At our church we still sing these beautiful hymns. Gospel Hall in La Crosse, Wi. There are many similar congregations to ours around the country. ☺
Just turned 80, so I can understand your concerns. Still out there in a few churches, but few and far between.

And it doesn't show too much in this, but you could see that he really enjoyed playing the quicker gospel tunes.
