Hi Sally - glad that you've finally found Brendan and his music. I have posted some other clips of him on UA-cam from a concert he played at in Glasgow in memory of another great fiddler, Jimmy McHugh. If you "search" for "Brendan McGlinchey" you should be able to find them. Best wishes.
@@douglashadden2172 Thankyou Douglas. What an inspiration he is and always will be. So honoured to hear him play. I'm glad I found him too. Have already shared this with friends and family.
God this a marvelous set Brendan- and yes we are circulating this time to dozens of musicians so that when Ireland musician meet again we play this to remember the times we have endured - you were my mentor when I did the TTCT in monks town and a fantastic one at that - best wishes paraig obrien

Stunningly beautiful both tunes
Takes my breath away.

It would break your heart
What a rare talent...incandescant-if you have ears.
Utterly sublime. RIP, Brendan. Does anyone know on what show and year this performance was?
Comhaltas tour in Australia, possibly 1997.
@@douglashadden2172 Thanks!
God bless and save Brendan McGlinchey, the real deal and a huge loss, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasail
Where can I get his other work?
You might try the Traditional Music Archive in Dublin...he was probably more prominent in the 1960s.
Very tuneful ...but then he comes from an earlier tradition where tone and intonation seems to have been given greater prominence.
That's just a FIDDLER?
