I've just put the Bykski waterblock system on to my G.Skill 48GB kit. Maximum temperature dropped to 37C instead of 55+ running TM5 or Karhu. Amazing result! For removal, dunk them in MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) for 2 hours and the standard sleeves will just pull off with light finger pressure. Remove any residual adhesive tape with a fingernail then back in the MEK for another hour. Give them a good clean in the MEK with a soft paintbrush then a final dunk and clean in fresh MEK. Much safer than razor blades etc IMHO.
I would just like to say thankyou for taking this bullet for the tech community... You've performed an important role and helped all system builders o7
I think it was Buildzoid who figured out you actually get the lowest temps with just a bare PCB and good case airflow. Most RAM heatsinks are just there for the aesthetics.
I made a mounting bracket and run an arctic p12 directly over my ddr4 trident z's that i run at 1.60v daily for years now. Most i can manage out of them is 37c and thats with the combined heat soak of the gpu after hours of gameplay If you can pull it off and are crafty enough it can look good as well lol. For a while i even ran an amd wraith fan that i simply unscrewed from the heatsink and mounted to my bracket and it worked well and didnt cost anything.
@@diloran3700 they should work out of the box, they don't work which makes them a worse buy then buying different kit that is cheaper and aftermarket radiators if you got to dismantle ram sticks anyway why not pay less an get more? And Jufes gave you a better ram kit that has lower temps out of the box Team Group.
The Acer Predator Pallas II DDR5 Ram kit is the only one i've seen that actually has a full aluminum cover / heatsink and advertises that it uses an actual thermal pad. Also no pointless RGB either. However they seem to be impossible to find anywhere.
Could those be modified to have active/passive cooling with stuff like LN filled heat pipes for the fans to cool? And replace or add better components? I was hoping these would be useful if when they make 10k to 12k mhz with 1:1or 1:2 IF with amd if 9000 or higher series increases the IF speed enough.
i used geil black dragon back in like 2008 and it was super solid memory. Haven't used them since though mainly out of trying to theme my builds. That was before memory heatsinks were worth anything though.
Speaking of solutions, why not 3d print a fan shroud that fits over or snaps on to the memory sticks? Then you can use a normal fan that actually moves air!
I did that. Only i didnt 3d print it. I flattened out a 1 1/4 steel pipe strap and used a vise and some channel locks to shape it into a "z" shape. Then i painted it and mounted it in my case using double sided tape to stick it to the fan and to the metal section of the case. The fan fits just over the ram modules and just above the gpu. I use a cheap arctic p12 fan and at one point just an amd wraith fan i unscrewed from the stock heatsink that came with my cpu. I run my ram at 1.60v daily (ddr4 bdie) and after hours of heatsoak and benchmarks i can only get them up to 37c max before they stabilize. Which im very happy with
What motherboard is this? First time I see motherboard with 3 dim slots. Is it possible to retest those dims with standard(ordinary) motherboard where you can put dimms in "standard" 2,4 positions where they have more free room and You can actualy benefit from this FAN design?
🤔 does anyone make a mirrored stick of ram? That way the memory ICs are facing away from each other? That seems like a much easier approach to making a 2 dimm kit. Then you could just put two holes into the stick and two tiny nuts and screw on an off the shelf copper finned heatsink. Seems wayyy less complex than these stupid tiny fans.
Jufes is it possible to only get overclock on my 13900k + tight my ram timmings on my 7800 sticks for 100$? I have only 100 to use... But i will not give it to others (scammers). So if you will not do that i will not overclock it. Im a codbro on your discord..
So fucking stupid they used those pads, why the hell would you use those in a product like this ? Just replacing those with proper pads will make a bit of a difference. It makes no sense except for trying to basically screw people over by making a fake product, because that's basically what they're doing. And yeah, you'd at least think they'd have all the fans be pass through, still wouldn't be the best, but almost surely better. And small fans tend to be a bit more annoying sound wise. Frankly, i still think those fans modules you put on the memory clips like that Corsair one you have and blow away from the memory would be a simpler and better and most likely also cheaper solution.
Yo is this a meme or wtf.....if a `gamer` doesn`t know how to remove ram........he/she should probably first check if their pc is on at the wall.....what the actual fuck Plus.....not xmp 8000 trans/s stable.......if you have to manually tune your ram but you don`t know how to remove them, all I can say is good luck with that good sir Ok meme it is.......don't know this channel first vid ive seen
Shout out to the supporters.

Thank you. Almost bought these a while back. Im running a corsair dual fan cooler over my G.Skill 8000 24GB sticks with good results.
Dude thank you for the tip 😭 knowing im helping folks makes it all worth it

Kick Stream Bros We Compete Early 😂
Id like to see a video of where you exchange the foam pads to thermal pads to see if that actually makes a legit difference
.. And reverse the fan assembly on one stick so that they are mirrored.
Yes that would make them run cooler but then why buy this kit? You could do that with any other ram kit that is cheaper.
@@skerlone to test if those fans actually do anything

"I can still hear those fucking things from across the room" I'm dying🤣
changing heatsinks on RAM is risky, I've done it successfully 2 times, but also destroyed 1 stick of RAM one time
It's a never-ending story of "When is it enough to be able to compete?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The last 3 second jokes that only the real ones see
Linus: 10/10 sticks
4:42 or have intakes on the reverse side which would allow the other fan to blow through so the air passes through like a channel.
finally I can COMPETE

nice shirt Jufes.
Holy Hell, ROFLMAO! they say a pictures worth a thousand words...... 4:32 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
ok do try thermal pads instead of the out of the box foam and separate them inside a 4 slot setup. I wonder what the thermal values will be then. :D
FAFO, the essential way to PC game. As always, thanks for your hard work Jufes

How did I miss this video I'm 2 months late but better late than never 😂
Have you considered removing the foam and replacing it with better stuff? Might be interesting to see the difference.
The D15 prevents me from using tall ram sticks
Maybe the 10k rpm is to get the air in through the tiny spaces.
i like the mug!

Where is the video in the description for taking apart the ram?
Fkn loving it: "Zero tolerance policy for pieces of shit" ❤🤣🤣
Angry incels unite
I just put an 80mm fan above my ram - max temps ~ 44c
This with an RTX 4090 at 450W.
Holly shit dude. If you could come up with something, it would be light leagues ahead of these guys
GLOVE!
Was hesitant about it, but am sold on watercooling RAM now.
hopefully you do a follow up video where you take it apart and reassemble it with proper thermal pads and orient the fands properly on reconstruction
do it! change the pads.

Amazing competology analysis
Thanks Jufes!
Is it safe to use it on a AM5 MOTHERBOARD?
What are ur thoughts on the JONSBO NF-1. It’s like the corsair ram fans except they still make it. I wonder if it’s good enough
No dip with 7800x3D & 7900XTX 🤷♂️
2 too close dimm slot is a big problem . it impedes airness between memory. so i think 4 dimm slots mb is perfect place to suit these sticks.
Have you tried the Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 7200MT/s 1.45V? Is it comparable to the teamgroup?
Thanks for your findings, won't spoil it, watch the video!!
Can you test the BartX RAM copper heatsinks on some 7600/8000MHz Ram?
Can you review GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS PRO X it’s claiming 8200 ddr5 on a 4 dim board it’s available on new egg now for $389

damn that sucks, was hoping they'd be good. TY for video.

4 dimm boards can’t hit 8000mhz
@@FrameChasers At least you should change foam to thermal pad to see results. I personally curious about it.

ASUS 540 HZ monitor review?
I ain’t buying that shit
i love how i normalised shitting on amd before amd normalised being a competitive company
I would like to see it would happen if you replace Foam
4:30 I think it's made for 4 slot motherboards but you only use 2 of them...

Should I pull the trigger & finally buy some g skill bdie lol ?
this cooling system heat dissipation (if there is any) is probably negated by the heat emitted from the LEDs
man i alwaymost forgot about your channel, seeing how your mod banned me on twitch. all good though, these ram sticks look very odd but good video.

If you need tech to compete, you've already lost.
Kinda hard to compete without tech
