My experience says that partial shade gives more turmeric but the corm is weak to be planted in the next season. Thank you so much for uploading a complete guide from planting to harvest, it requires a lot of patience.

I'm so glad I found this video by you! I moved to SoCal last year and will be growing turmeric and ginger now for the first time. Do you find that the underground critters like to eat the turmeric roots and rhyzomes? We have a ton of gophers, moles and voles in the garden. I would prefer to grow in ground but don't want them eaten. Thanks! :)

Awesome.. amazing video yet again.. you may want to try haldicha lonacha, it's absolutely delicious.. you just need lonache masala, probably you can get kepra masale in usa? Grate young turmeric, add this masala, squeeze lemon add salt, you can refrigerate the pickle but it taste absolutely awesome.. and very healthy too..

I love you organic gardening videos, but I would suggest that you de-plastic your garden, because over time plastics breaks and release little " micro-plastics", so please consider the fact.Just to give some tips, I use old stainless-steel containers(which looks pretty to) wooden containers, gunny bags(which would compost eventually after use) and terracotta pots. Thank you.

Kiran S boiling is harsh it may kill many of vitamins/benefits of turmeric. Although cooking fresh turmeric in your food is a good. You can grate fresh turmeric into sauces with a little black pepper to increase benefits and even blend fresh raw turmeric into smoothies is great.
