The .300 HAM’R is approved by SAAMI though…

It hits better than 7.62x39 and is more accurate out of a AR platform... Chris knows his shit but he is making a mistake by pushing this round to the side, it is a great package when compared to 300blk and 7.62x39...

For someone as knowledgeable as you are on firearms Your video with your review of the 300 ham’r was absolutely incorrect and stand completely corrected as the 300 Ham’r is Saami approved and is a much more accurate and flatter round with way better ballistics than any 300 blackout. I replaced both my 300 blackout barrels and replaced both with a Wilson Combat 11.3” (which gives same ballistics as a 16” Ak47 in a shorter lighter platform) and a 16” and have never looked back. The rounds are same price and are the most powerful 556/223 cartridges in an AR platform so it’s a no brainer. It’s like the 10mm versus 45acp, the 10mm is a harder hitting round which not only hits much harder but flies straighter with less bullet drop too. Let’s keep moving forward with much better ballistics and Wilson Combat 300 Ham’r is blowing away the AR15 platform competition.

Well, you don’t have to buy a whole new rifle to get a 300 Ham’r, all you’ve got to do is just replace the barrel and muzzle device. I tossed all my 300 blackout rifles and pistols and replaced with the 300 ham’r as it’s a far superior round when compared to the 300 blackout except just not as quiet as the blackout when suppressed. The ballistics of the 300 ham’r and cost to only switch barrels is a no brainer.

From a reloading perspective, coming from already making 300 Blackout subs and supers at home, the minimal tooling upgrade for 300 HAM'R was easy. The supersonic velocity gain is no small thing.
Aside from needing a jig to cut brass to the proper length, a set of reloading dies, and guages, I already had every other component (brass, primers, powder, bullets) needed to make my own 300 HAM'R.
I started with a 16" Recon barrel. Then recently bought the 11". I'm excited to workup some loads and chronograph them to see what's what on 110/125gr velocities.

This man has been around and seen more than enough "new" rounds come and go. All he was saying is that all the negatives, limited ammo producers being a major one, isn't outweighed by the performance gain. And I'd be willing to bet that at the time of his comment, the round wasn't 'SAAMI-ed' yet.

You don't have to like it. 300 HAM'R is for the cool kids that love the AR15 platform, A full 30 round magazine, AND a 30 cal bullet with a nice BC.
300 HAMR is everything 300 Blackout supers wish they were.

😂😂😂😂 its already got SAAMI specs. Hits harder than 7.62x39, it's more accurate with the same round capacity and is leaps and bounds more reliable in an AR platform. Wildcat my ass. It outdoes 6.5 Grendel, 300 blackout, 6.8 SPC and 7.62x39. I built my first ever AR rifle in .300 HAM'R and quite honestly, this cartridge could EASILY be the next big military cartridge. Is it perfect? No, nothing made by human hands is. But I genuinely have faith in this cartridge.

Yeah, I got mad respect for Alex but he missed on this one, lol I am not the expert that he is, but I know this for a fact, 1 ammo isn't hard to get, although it's hard to get off a shelf, I just order off WC website and I will have it in a couple of days and it's not much more expensive if any than 300blk
    2) I have several 300blk rifles and none of them are even remotely close to being as accurate as the 300hamr and not nearly as powerful the same applies to my 7.62x39 rifles If I had to pick one gun to use for hunting and combat and ammunition wasn't a concern lol which I have beaucoup of I would without a doubt take the 300hamr over anything else out there.
Alex, I have mad respect for your expertise but you need to do your research on 300 hamr before you discount it. Lol, the only advantage 300 blk has over the 300 hamr is the ability to shoot subsonic ammo quietly with a suppressor which you might as well be shooting a 45 cal.

If you use a 30-30 it would do better and cost a lot less.

30-30 bullets have more potential at the muzzle, but the bullets have terrible bc. Even 300 blk starts outdoing 30-30 at longer distances.
