I visited Omaha and Utah Beaches in Normandy, France in the summer of 2019. When you look at the massive ocean and the cliffs and obstacles that those boys had to overcome, you really get a feel for the sheer scale of the operation! And then you visit the cemeteries and see the endless rows of crosses and it hits you like a Mack truck right in the feels. You should definitely visit this place at least once!
