My first "real" piece. Used to play it way too much as a student. I think I'll reapproach it after years of not touching it. Thanks for your great video!

SUCH a beautiful piece, elaborated and performed by such a beautiful lady!!! Julia THANK YOU!!! You brought me such emotion. Your video is very special. Your mastery and your art are magical. You are a treasure of our civilization!! I have admired your videos and followed you online for some time and I admire you greatly. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your interpretation and your performance with us. This piece is in fact the motivation for me as an adult learner of the violin. I am only 362 hours along my violin journey, but I practice most days and struggle along because my goal is to be able to play this piece. You have lifted my soul. Thank you. Allan Campbell.

well if i could express myself intelligently and poetically i would have written what youve stated here.LOL. Very well done and continued sucess in your playing. Ive started at 64 Y.O. and its like starting a new life. Take care. She is a treasure and i do not understand why she is not world reknowned at the highest level. My guess is that she must have derferred for family reasons? Guess I could ask but may seem rude . oh well , we have her to " ourselves" :)

У меня трое малышей-сорванцов и уже опять скоро куда-то надо собираться и бежать, но я закрылась в спальне и не могу оторваться от этого потрясающего звучания и такого полезного разбора. 😊❤

Thank you for this little masterclass on this piece. It's such a significant piece for students and having stable fingerings and bowings really assists them/us as we work through the very expressive pieces of this level (and above).
I've worked through it a couple of times, still have some oddities left over from learning it a bit early, but will think about your enhancements and see if I can incorporate them.

I had a similar "coincidence". I was leafing thru my playbook yesterday morning and for the first time ever i decided to focus on Thais. That evening , this shows up on my you tube recommendations. ( I usually sit next to an I-pad..hmmmm.........:)

wow wow wow thankyou yet again.!! Fantastic insight and instruction as usual." Pop singer vibrato," i realize ive noticed been doing it and have gone more to immediate vibrato. Personally i think that in some small romantic type pieces , a sparing bit of the pop singer vibrato can be effective in my very humble opinion. Lets face it, i Have afterall been playing ALMOST 3 years, LOL. Yet 3 years under your tutelage and im well ahead of where most people( non prodigy) would be. Thankyou again Professor Bushkova. Thankyou..

WOnderful version of course yet while Kriesler is employing the anima, Bushkova gives it directly from the feminine soul, consciously AND subconciously IMHO.

Thank you for giving us a better arrangement the bowing and performance for this music.
I am an intermediate player adult and often I look at music, unsure how to interpret it for our current time. I watch modern players playing the music and it can be difficult for me to pick up their interpretation. I would like to be more adept.

Most people think this is sad music, yet my teacher said it's actually happy music pieces, and even can playing it in...cute way, I don't know, I try to play it as happy as possible but somehow still sounds kind of sad.
Funny thing is, when I play This War of Mine, living in a broken house, in a radio channel it always play this music, and it really feels ...peaceful.
