I love him best when he sticks to the classics because his expression is so genuine and deep then. Some of the other stuff while beautifully played takes away from his real image for me.
My neighbor introduced me to The Two Cellos in all their rock and roll fantasy. My observation at that time was that these two had studied music quite seriously in order to break so many rules. Then, I discovered Hauser as a soloist. I have been enthralled ever since. Thanks to You Tube, I have learned of not only Hauser, but the many fine young musicians that are in Europe. They play to the size of audiences that we only see for rock concerts here in the states. People young and old are mesmerized for hours of music that is so enchanting and balm to the soul. Thank you Hauser and your collegues for sharing these many gifts of the heart. Perhaps we will see an end to the pandemic that has the world in its grip and live entertainment will once again be available. I hope to experience Hauser live in my lifetime.
Hauser is the world's youngest living certified grand master cellist. Playing pieces most don't accomplish until in their 60s. The true definition of soulful talent personified. I even dare to say better than Yo Yo Ma.....

To me a violin rendition of the music is sweet but seemingly intellectually distant whereas Hauser’s cello produces a wider range of frequencies and the vibrations that elicit a sympathetic bodily response as I feel the play of the music. Imagine how much more intense it must be for Hauser whose cello is producing through him the sounds he can feel and creates the passion with which he plays. I have heard other cello player renditions of the same piece but theirs is more intellectual like they were reading the sheet music.

Anything so beautiful is not worth trying to humanize. The musical gift he was given to not only play this amazing music, but his very ability to "feel" the music as he does, can only come from God in Heaven. That's my humble opinion.
