- If you look up the hashtag #ponajacket you’ll find so many variations of the pattern. Depending on the fabric and modifications, this jacket can be as fancy as a blazer and as casual as a sweater-blanket.

Even though you made this tutorial 3 years ago, I still love it and use it when making a pona jacket. Your visual explanations are the absolute best Sarah. Thank you, dear!
Thank you so much. It makes patterns so much easier to understand when someone does a lovely sew along like you have. It really helped me visualise what the pattern said.
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad to hear my video has helped!🥰
Beautiful jackets Sara! I love the long version in plaid so much. Thank you for the video! ❤❤❤

Thank you for this very helpful vidéo.
I'm in the process of making it and hope that it will turn out as beautiful as yours.
Looking forward to hearing it turned out as you wanted it to be! ☺️

Thank you Darling❣️
Thanks for watching! xx
I love watching your videos, you’re so talented and it’s so relaxing. I’m going to make my first Pona today but would also like to learn how to line it. I know Helen has instructions but would you consider making a video of lining the Pona as I find it much easier to follow you. Thanks for doing what you do!
Thanks so much, Kerry!❤ I don't have a plan to make a video about lining the Pona yet, but I will consider it!
This was amazing to following
☺☺💖
Hi Sara! I love your videos. Thank you so much for your effort. I really appreciate it. I learned a lot from your videos. I also watch them repeatedly.
Are you planning to make a sew along tutorial for the hinterland dress in the future? I bought the pattern but it is a little too intimidating for me.
Aww thanks so much for watching my videos! I'm glad to hear you find them helpful! I love Hinterland Dress and I would love to make a tutorial video about in in the future! What about Summer 2021, is it too late for you? ☺
@@SewingTherapy better late then never. Thank you very much Sara 😍
Beautiful 🤩

Klass...
Thank you so much for this video! Your explanations are very clear and they wil help me to sew my jacket.
Are the sleeves length under the elbows on the former pattern? I like long sleeve, I will lengthen them if so!
Thanks for your patience recording this video for us
Thanks for watching my video!
No I didn't lengthen the sleeves. It could look longer as I sewed with 3/8" seam allowance hoping my Pona look more oversized. 😊
Very nice, thank you x
Thanks for watching!
I must mention I attempted to line a pona, it was a complete disaster, nothing worked out, even though i tried to use Helen's own instructions. If you do make another pona for winter, please may I ask you to line it and show us exactly how to do a good job. Thank you ❤
Your tutorials are the best, I have watched many! I feel much more confident! Did you come by this talent naturally, or have you taken sewing-design courses?
Thanks so much, Sue!❤ I took a two-day intensive course at the very beginning and I had a chance to take some project-based courses from a community center! 😊 Thanks for your encouraging words!
Thank you for the tutorial Sara. One question, do you have the wool poly fabric that you used for the coat in your shop? Or would you suggest some fabrics from your shop suitable for making coats? Thank you!
Hi Lily
I have it in red but only a 1.5 yard piece. Sewing Pona with different fabrics is fun as they look so different depends on the fabrics you use! I saw some linen Pona as well and they looks so proper in Spring and Fall! What about making your first one in linen? Or I have some lightweight cotton flannel (which I didn't list on Etsy) and it will make nice cosy Pona as well! Let me know! 😊
@@SewingTherapy Making my first Pona with linen or flannel is a good idea. Thank you for the suggestions, Sara!
You’re Korean, aren’t you? I’m a biracial Korean/first generation American.
Do you have access to any cool knits and woolens from Korea? Notions? If you’re in Surrey, then you’re on the American border! My mommy lives in Seattle right now, but I’m a Las Vegas girl.
If you’re ever in the States, I’d love to trade fabric with ya! I’m dying for some of that Canadian kasha lining! The acetate/cotton one😊. It’s impossible to find here, as is stretch lining that isn’t poly. I know the UK has stretch viscose lining, but we have to shell out for stretch silk if we don’t want poly. Big price difference!
can we get Korean dress sewing tutorial? thank you. i like your video
😊😘😋
💕
Hello I loved to see your sewing ,How many yard need to that?
Thank you!! 😊 I used approximately 3.5 yards for my Pona!
Do you think this pattern would work well using a wide wale corduroy?
I think so! ☺️
Helle sara so beautiful video can you please tell me what are the measurements for the cuts..!
