I've never heard of Kamijo missing a show for any reason. Been a fan for 10 years and seen him live around 140 times. There's no way he wasn't sick or feeling bad at some of those concerts but he always did his best.
I think hide would have loved this band. I couldn't tell you why but he was someone who went with who he was and could get behind this band. I really believe so. R.I.P hide.

oh wow, he was sick? thats pretty amazing, and very honorable on his part, to stick with the live show. the only other band ive seen live while being sick was Rammstein, Til Lindeman was sick and sung through most of the performance. and that was their dvd of Valkerball. amazing job Kamijo!!! he had that huge note on Revenant Choir before Jasmine's bass solo. beautiful
Their A-kon concert was AMAZING, and their Los Angeles concert had even better reviews. They are GREAT live. Please don't base your opinion on this one performance. If you read their blogs, you'll see that they were all very nervous about the concert.

I do think Kamijo looks and sounds a bit strained on their HMS performance. However, I read he was sick during this time. I know that really isn't a valid excuse when you're a brilliant artist like him but at least that gives some explanation. I also don't think it's fair to totally repudiate a bands live skills based on just one performance. I have also seen them live, specifically on one of their European lives and I was completely amazed by how great they were then.
@Twiggyay I'm a HUGE fan of the band. I know every part of the songs for each instrument, and when I saw them live in a 2 hours 40 minutes concert, they screwed 0%. All of 'em. I have always wondered why they sound so strange in this one though.

The people saying Versailles can't play live should think of the context. Kamijo was sick and by this time he was not accustomed to Versailles' sing style. This is also one of Versailles' first performance with a substantial crowd, they all seem pretty nervous. And as already stated, everyone has their bad days. HMS is NOT Versailles' best gig. No where near it. It is clear that this is not their crowd. It's hard to do your best and get fully involved when the crowd is just staring blankly.
On plasticine86's comment: You are half right: Those people who ONLY talk about looks of Versailles' are quite.. not interested in music, as everyone who just comments on VK Bands' looks ONLY.
@Twiggyay i know, but what im sayin is hizaki just stands there and focuses. Im sure teru could play everything perfect if he just stood there. Just look at other bands. Sugizo in luna sea, and hide in X. Sure they mess up more than the other guy but its always worth it.
@hoodfigga0987 in the first part of the solo where Teru plays the high pitched solo and Hizaki the low pitched one Hizaki doesn`t make a mistake at all, Teru however makes òne mistake at the bending in the end. as for the sweeping in the second part he starts at the wrong fret making the whole solo lower pitched than it should be. Hizaki is more stabile, he`s older and more expirinced, Sure, Teru plays more difficult things but Hizaki could nail those things too, it`s just not his style
I'm big fan too, however I know everything about Versilles only. I was suprised a little bit just, beacuse all the HMS-lives were called sh*t by the others and I was angry, because they said ugly things only, like an amateur, but they couldn't understand the live concert not the same like a studio... I didn't want to hurt you.^^

Hizaki is lead for a reason. he`s the most skilled of the two. Teru has his moments but he`s not consistent, he might have two really good lives and end up the third being really shitty, it isn`t like that with Hizaki. he nails every thing every time.
wow a HUGE discution between teru and hizaki. Well yes I think that hizaki is better than teru, he is older you know. But both of them has improved!! (well every one has) I reallly love teru, hehe he is hardcore just like me. As for hizaki he plays just beautiful . So stop arguing about them, both are talented guitarists! We love Versailles for their wonderfull music you know!! (well I think you know that too) Maybe they had a bad day??

@Twiggyay just watch the video, teru kills the solos, and hizaki just stands there looking down at the guitar and then he does that wierd head jerk haha. I think hes cool. Not saying hes bad, im just saying i think teru should be the lead guitar

what wouldnt i give to be one of the people there to enjoy their live.although it's not the audiences' fault but they could at least not stare at them blankly like that.
@hoodfigga0987 And Teru hansn`t the most difficult parts anyway. the sweeping at 2:26 is just 3 string sweeps and even i can do it. and look at what starts from 3:31, it`s just as difficult as the stuff Teru plays at 2:02. the only thing i`ve seen Hizaki screw up on is the 3:50 part and it is probably the single most difficult thing in the whole song, yet Hizaki nails it. in short Teru screws up 5% of his solos Hizaki screws up less than 1% of his solos
Kamijo's really really cool But he sounds really strained in this live Ya..maybe it was the heat or he was sick or something cuz he didnt sound like this in his other lives...He usually has a very good voice
