The Hull could actually take it in the lore, they kept space for 4 but only mounted 2 during the time of the show in anticipation of more advanced drives in the future powerful enough to support 4
@@cd1565 Reminds me of the spanish F100 class frigates wich dont have CIWS but were built with 2 weapon stations so they can mount 2 CIWS or a future defense system like the Sea RAM
@@sparrowlt for the real world that is more a budget consideration to be honest, no need for the extra as of yet. In the expanse it’s more a issue of they can’t mount all 4 yet since the drive is not powerful enough. See how the Donny in the show had to divert power to support just 2 railguns
@@cd1565 i know.. tought in the F100 case the official reason from the navy was that the old CIWS systems were getting obsolete and a new generation of defense close weapons was developing (like the Sea RAM) so they build the ships with provisions for" future weapon defense systems" . Of course money is the real answer as it wouldnt hurt to put the good old CIWS for the time being .. Similarly i think the Scirocco class also has space for a secon railgun i guess for same reasons than the Donnie

Can you use ship mods in normal MP battle like you do maps (it will automatically tell you to download the mod if you dont have it)? I really would like to use MCRN ship pack but i dont know if i can.
i heared this game being discribed as "if expanse was a game" but i think that s not correct. the delta v is noneexistent. you control a fleet not a single ship with crew (the feel that you get from the show). railguns look a ltile slow... the engagement ranges seem a ltile to smal as well but that just has to be that way bc the delta v is so slow, it looks like a submarine fight, not a spaceship fight. the missile guidence system seems to be just "oh lets just go in a straight line towards the enemy at a delta v of barely fucking moves. WhAT CouLD gO WrONg???" but it works bc the ships also go at a speed of "barely fucking moves" (somehow the pdcs cant even track this shit missile guidance). there is also no newtonian physics or flip and burn or strafing maneuvers. but that makes sense bc its a strategy game and you cant do all of these high speed maneuvers with multiple ships. it is nothing like the expanse. or at least i dont see the conection.
Most weapons are default, some ships ships are from the MCRN legitimate salvage mod and the accompanying weapons mod, also the prism aerospace and kuiper ship works mod for some ship models.
The latter generations of space warships in The Expanse eventually took more similiar designs to ones in Mobile Suit Gundam and the works of Leiji Matsumoto ?
Wish more people would play the expanse mod.. its really good and works well with NFC

You can but for balancing reasons most hosts and players wont allow mods. Try hosting a lobby titled as mods allowed or smth
