Mark Peterson of Live Well CPAP in Boise, Idaho, explains how to get the best for on your F30i CPAP mask, how to disassemble, clean and how often each part should be cleaned.
Wonderful Janice, I am so glad we could help. Yes, there are some wipes on the market specifically for CPAP supplies. You can also use baby wipes. Just stay away from any products that includes alcohol as it will start to break down. Have a wonderful day!
I sleep better with this mask vs the basic F30. However, as mentioned at the 2:55 mark, the mask does vent out the front... A LOT. My wife cant stand it and has to hunker down under the blankets to escape the breeze.
Hi! My mask keeps leaking it seems no matter what I try. I have tried, several other full masks (mouth breather) as well. Out of the 10 or so I have tried they keep leaking. The resp therapists do not have any suggestions. Liners don't seem to help. Any suggestions?
Hey there, good question. Unfortunately, the material just starts losing it's elasticity even with good cleaning. The manufacturer suggest changing the nose piece twice a month, and that is what insurance allows as well.
@@markpeterson4827 My sleep apnea with severity number 91 has been resolved. I have reduced 32 kg along with lifestyle changes. Thank you for your inputs.
@micromep-Hi there, the cushion it self(piece that goes over your mouth) is recommended to be changed monthly. The frame(cushion snaps onto) recommended to be changed quarterly and the headgear(fabric strap) every 6 months. Hope that helps!
Great information and video. So much better than the video by Resmed.
Wow, thanks!
Excellent information, especially on the cleaning aspect of the mask! Thank you for taking the time to share this!

Thank you so much I finally got it done I was afraid I would break the part .
Thank you so much this was extremely helpful information!
I clean the piece on my face daily. What about the tubing portion of the mask? Daily or weekly?

How do we clean the mask in order to avoid it from losing its elasticity by the nostril holes?

@@LiveWellCPAP Good to know, I will discuss this with my insurance.
Great explanation.
I’m a big fan of this mask. I just get cut up by the strap on the back of neck. Everything else A+ no complaints.
@ Mark-
If power goes off during night time and this device stop working.
Will one suffocate and not able to breathe while wearing this mask?
Good Question. It has a couple of valves that open when there isn't pressure in the circuit that would prevent that.
