I was in the studio with dad when they recorded the basic tracks for this song. Of all the D&G songs I've had to play over and over through the years, this is BY far my favorite. I was 11 years old when they cut this and remember it like it was yesterday. Well, I'm happy to say we are starting on dads 5th solo cd and he has decided to re-cut this song.. Whew I only hope I can kick it like Keith did. Wow, love this song... Lance Huff
I love David and The Giants as a young teen I saw them in concert at a summer camp,it was so crowded we had put our programs on our seats in the front row ,and they were taken off and thrown on the floor by the time we came back to take our seat there were no seats left,so we sat in front of everyone on the floor when The band came out David Huff looked at us and said praise God for such a packed house that you brought people to the floor to praise you. ,iromically those who were sitting in our seats followed suit. My favorite concert ever!!
this is such a time capsule. I have almost all of David and the Giants albums(cassetts) they were(are ) so awesome and David is so humble, a true example of what a Christian should be.
I saw David and the Giants the first time at Night of Joy at Disney World in 84 or 85. I agree that Riders in the Sky was their best album and they became my favorite christian rock band. I still have two or three of their vinyl albums somewhere and still regularly listen to their songs on my iPod or iPhone. The quality of my tracks aren't too great and I was hoping that they would come out with an all the best of on CD. Thanks for sharing with everyone.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havent heard this one in a VERY long time! Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much for posting this!!!!!!!!!
I just love this song. The version I have of it is a rip from a tape that has been in the sun too long so sound quality is poor. Great to hear it again the way I remember it. A big thanks!
So many tracks I've never heard by these guys. Never heard this album actually! Great stuff! At the beginning of this track David sounds alot like Geddy Lee of Rush!
@cptgaryklein wow you must be in your fourties, I am and I grew up with every band you mentioned, I loved D&G and Sweet Comfort especialy the the Perfect Timing album
