I believe that the knowledge you both have for the future can take me further than the knowledge I have from the past. This is no disrespect to my colleagues or counterparts. What you do takes the fabrics of patience, empathy, and love for the people that you serve through The Most High within you. Just a bit of advice from someone who has lived for some time mostly as an introvert. Living this way was not because I wanted to stay away from my brothers and sisters but because I found it soooo hard to find peace among my peers. My advice is: Please do not be disheartened and continue to do what God has led you to do. As an elder with a true LOVE for my people I stepped out on faith again last year and traveled to Tanzania and Kenya. In fact, when I was in Africa I humbled myself and found lodging near the villages and made connections with the locals. In fact, the one bad experience I had was in Kenya with an African American (a peer and former business partner). Following this, I avoided all other older repats. Experience has taught me that they tend to be the ones who sow negativity more than other age groups. However after losing this partner I met several young, bright Africans, formed a network with them and now we are currently working on a few projects. Just remember that if age were a prerequisite to wisdom the world would be a stable place to live unfortunately, it is currently in shambles. Part of these world problems are due to the "elders" who are in high positions globally...May the most high keep your family safe and at peace in all your endeavors!
I am an older person. These types of meddlers are coming from a place of fear and ignorance. My generation on back are conditioned to a slave mentality the yield of hard work and rank in America which uses fear and obedience: modern day slave mentality. My mother is treated like a celebrity in some shops just because she exists😁 as a 68 year old. When I, as a 36 year old, speak to 19 year olds here, they listen as though I was much older perhaps because I’m American but also because they see my years of experience as a palpable generational difference. African youth are very jaded with the elderly in government hoarding all the opportunity and yet there is need for direction. I think that’s where some of the respect I am surprised that I receive comes from.

My hubby and I are older and we encourage the young people and support them. We actually assisted a young brother in Ghana gave our money did not expect no title, or anything. this young man wasted the resources and he was part of a Hebrew community and he was sleeping around with women trying to get second wife. We felt taken advantage because we are elders in age and wanted to move to the continent.We never wanted to take the lead. We did not allow this experience to stop us from assisting young people or destroy our vision the Most High gave us. We have forgiven him and moved on. The disrespect was very hurtful, but we believe by faith that the Most High wanted us to trust him not the wolves in sheep clothing. Overall, you have to be careful of people young or old and definitely can't let complete strangers in your home around your children. T3 and Me are the real deal love ❤ yall spirit. My advice is: Please do not be disheartened and continue to do what God has led you to do. As an elder with a true LOVE for my people I stepped out on faith again last year and traveled to Tanzania and Kenya. In fact, when I was in Africa I humbled myself and found lodging near the villages and made connections with the locals. In fact, the one bad experience I had was in Kenya with an African American (a peer and former business partner). Following this, I avoided all other older repats. Experience has taught me that they tend to be the ones who sow negativity more than other age groups. However after losing this partner I met several young, bright Africans, formed a network with them and now we are currently working on a few projects. Just remember that if age were a prerequisite to wisdom the world would be a stable place to live unfortunately, it is currently in shambles. Part of these world problems are due to the "elders" who are in high positions globally...May the most high keep your family safe and at peace in all your endeavors!

My mother is treated like a celebrity in some shops just because she exists😁 as a 68 year old. When I, as a 36 year old, speak to 19 year olds here, they listen as though I was much older perhaps because I’m American but also because they see my years of experience as a palpable generational difference. African youth are very jaded with the elderly in government hoarding all the opportunity and yet there is need for direction. I think that’s where some of the respect I am surprised that I receive comes from.

My hubby and I are older and we encourage the young people and support them. We actually assisted a young brother in Ghana gave our money did not expect no title, or anything. this young man wasted the resources and he was part of a Hebrew community and he was sleeping around with women trying to get second wife. We felt taken advantage because we are elders in age and wanted to move to the continent.We never wanted to take the lead. We did not allow this experience to stop us from assisting young people or destroy our vision the Most High gave us. We have forgiven him and moved on.
The disrespect was very hurtful, but we believe by faith that the Most High wanted us to trust him not the wolves in sheep clothing. Overall, you have to be careful of people young or old and definitely can't let complete strangers in your home around your children.
