- Опубліковано 9 кві 2024
- Here are all four of the Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander Preconstructed Decks ranked from best to worst. I talk about what makes the best decks the best and why I'm not a big fan of the one of the decks. This video is my opinion, you may like certain decks that I don't, or vis versa, and that's okay. I just wanted to talk about the decks from my hands on experience with them.

Trust me. In Gonti's defense, Casting opponent's spells is always powerful when you face strong opponents
Bro pegged the whole rankings wrong. 😂 Dude is straight up an idiot.
I'd argue that Olivia is at least trying do something on her own, whereas Gonti is trying to use the opponents pieces to win, which can get really hosed based on what you're opponents playing
@garasu29 while you might not be getting cards that directly benefit you denying your opponent certain resources is also really good. I was playing my Bruenor equipment against Gonti and ended up losing colossus hammer to him
@@jiralord7642 that's valid
I mean... Yeah, I just don't like the lack of his own gameplay, and having his own engine on playing your opponents cards can backfire every once in a while
Cap, the Outlaw deck smacks hard and generates insane value for being aggressive 😤🤠
Why lie?
It’s not a lie and you can change the commander to goldwaker and add more ways to get treasure and it can be a really good deck
@@TheGamingscrubffsinthechat so you have to add to it?
@@TheGamingscrubffsinthechat can be really good? I thought it smacks hard?
@@thatoneguy9816 gold waker is in the deck and you don’t have to add more ways to get treasure because there’s already a lot of ways to get treasures but you can
Wow the card draw deck is the most powerful! What a twist!
I got the most wanted deck, namely, to get ready for ezio auditore da firenze.
Same here
Can u plz explain why ? I'm interested in Ezio too.
@hamzasaber4245 In the deck, there are multiple good assassins. Olivia makes treasures, and vihaan makes all outlaws have vigilance and haste while making treasures into assassins, and other good assassins, and creatures that care about outlaws. There is also back in town, which brings back outlaws from the graveyard.
@@hamzasaber4245because he’s an assassin and assassins are under the “outlaws” group so itll synergize strongly
I would prefer the commander precons to all revolve around mechanics in the actual set instead of what happens like keep the desert and outlaw decks but change the other two to be mounts and I guess a plot deck
The Izzet deck is a plot deck, and Outlaw is a set mechanic, but go off.
@@cd_sern2690 the izzet deck only comes with two plot cards in the entire deck and neither of the commanders specifically do anything for plot, just another spell slinger deck. And the outlaws deck is my point
Preordered the Izzit deck and I already have upgrades lined up. So glad I chose right without knowing the cards 😅 was a bit worried because I preordered just on appearance before spoilers hit.
Preordered gonti and im getting upgrades for it alongside my ob nixilis pingers deck. It isnt overpowered but i think itll be a fun time
I would put Most Wanted in second or first place actually
I own Quick Draw and have played against Most Wanted, both vanilla and with upgrades. Olivia can get really out of hand very quickly. Definitely 1a and 1b with Quick Draw as far as vanilla precons go.
All of them are gonna be good in their own way, and I can’t wait to tinker with the Gonti one. Already loved Prosper’s precon for casting other people’s stuff or even just my own from somewhere other than my hand
I'm glad I made the right choice then with Desert Bloom?
Yea but gonti is very funny
Correct me if I'm wrong but with twiddle effect you can get infinite copy's of casts for storm building and infinite tap untaps from stella
Snagged the grand larceny deck today and played a game against a friend. Its a really fun deck with some cool mechanics, had a lot of fun with the stealing my opponents cards mechanics.
Gonti has insane value. not only are you milling your opponents, you get to cast those spells for cheaper, meaning it's basically extra card draw that can't be discarded. Gonti rebounds from board wipes insanely quick, rarely misses a land drop because you're taking your opponents cards, and ramps really well because of his access to green. don't underestimate this deck, it's really good and very explosive
I have the Stella and Yuma decks ordered. I didnt even know if they would be good. But I like Naya and i like decks that do something unique and land graveyard recursion sounded interesting. And casting several spells in a turn sounded fun too. But I guess I'll find out. I'm not a fan of stealing and playing other people's cards, so I said no to Gonti.
Desert precon has done the best locally compared to all the others. The others feel janky.
Friend of mine played Olivia and that deck just folded against any level of removal.
Another friend played Gonti. My Esix deck did more stealing than Gonti did.
Another friend played Stella. While pretty decent and a combo piece when other cards are added, it's still janky and runs too many creatures for a spell slinger deck.
The deserts, helmed by Yuma or Hazezon, slaps. Landfall is amazing, there is value from either commander regarding deserts. When it is hit by removal it can recover in an instant. Even when a board wipe occurs it stands back up and continues to beat each opponent in value and power. I have never had a bad game playing the desert precon and I've played it at many tables since I first got it.
"its wants to be a treasure deck"
Why?
"Well it says treasure"
So you cant just have treasures in a deck about outlaws? Like is it just NOT putting any outlaws in the deck?
Well the synergies in the deck and the cards chosen are REALLY mid to bad. The outlaws part isn't great, and it really isn't making treasure much either.
@@eonaon6914 well that sounds good then. Sure it is a bummer an overwhelming majority of the outlaws apparently aren't impactful but I don't want treasure synergies. I want to use the treasures for casting more outlaws and getting my outlaws bigger. Sure a funny ancient copper dragon or something would be cool but just go wide, get treasure. Spend treasure to make outlaw bigger.
Wouldn't Gonti be the strongest since its win con is whatever your opponent's win con is?
My mate uses Olivia, opulent outlaw and hasnt lost with that deck yet
I think the grand larceny deck is actually pretty good, all things considered. "Steal your opponents' stuff" is the kind of strategy that scales with your opponents. None of the other decks offer that variability, which makes it both the worst and best deck in the set, technically.
Thanks 👍
Olivia is the first deck I'll own :o So is it a bad start?
I think the commander is strong, it just needs help in the 99. Shouldn't be too hard to get it up to speed
I feel like if the gonti deck was grixis instead of sultai it'd be infinitely better because of the sheer amount of steal cards in those colors vs green. I get green is great to ramp and cast more of the spells that belong to opponents but having access to things like laughing Jasper, Etali, and so many of the lci pirates would greatly increase effectiveness. Desert bloom is a great Naya deck in general with tons of cards that would work with it. Olivia is just a disappointment honestly if she did something more with either end of her deck idea it'd be better but its more or less an ok card in either a mardu treasure or outlaw deck with someone else as commander but a nothing burger in herself. Then we get to spell slinger being spell slinger and proving it's hard to get izzet multi spell wrong just being pure power and having almost unlimited potential.
Olivia slander, i have her and thanks to her mana base she flows well only thing she lacks is card draw which can easily be fixed. Also really under estimating Gonti, my SO has it. We played Olivia and Gonti against each other and he killed my with commander damage from my own commander
do you have a list?
Honestly, I want the Olivia deck just to break it apart for the outlaw pieces and treasure pieces for different decks. I don't even care about the commanders themselves
It's all subjective and dependant on how well u play particular strategies
Honestly with Outlaws it doesn't particularly work like for full synergy you have to dedicate your deck to one particular creature type
Stella’s deck sucks from the gameplay I’ve seen, I would place her 3rd for sure imo
Yuma proud protector? Don’t you mean the mandalorian and Grogu
Least Wanted
Most wanted is so fun
Wotc: Give everyone a cowboy hat and make sure we over price the decks so we dont get new players!
Over price? Bro the decks are like $40-50, that's not bad for a playable casual commander deck
@@myklklein1965overpriced, you shill
@@myklklein1965 in my area it is 68-100
@@rulushe85 That's probably your local shops jacking up the prices then lol
@@RandomHobo from locals to our wally world
Olivia really just doesn’t feel like herself. Any other card could’ve been her with the exact same ability. I wish she made outlaws into vampires. That would be really interesting.
with the amount of vampire rogues and assassins you could make it still work, but yeah as a Mardu commander it could have been a brand new character with no issue
it is not just spellslinger, its storm
Olivia is boring...? Buuuut the Spellslinger deck in Izzet that rewards casting lots of spells per turn is actually interesting....riiiiiight. A little upgraded, the Most Wanted deck smacks hard and is a brutal force.
Most wanted deck has the most value itself though check the deck list
Hate to burst your bubble, but me and my friends have been playing these precons since we got them and so far most wanted has the least wins with dessert bloom in third. Larceny is second and quick draw is first. Playing the precons and rotating them with at least four players and reviewing /playing them in game tells you the facts where to place them.
The Quick Draw Precon, also know as the Takes-Too-Fucking-Long-With-20-Fucking-Triggers Deck 😒
Outlaw deck? Treasure deck? PROSPER!!!!!!
OMG guys the izzet spells lingerie deck is the strongest one!?! A deck that has existed for suck a long time and has many good varieties to play?!? Yeah, no one coulda seen that boring opinion coming. Not that it's a bad deck, it just doesn't do anything unique and it would be nice to see them do something unique with izzet colors again.
But… but I love Olivia…😢
Of course the red blu deck is op
so... most wanted is the least wanted?
How many fucking naya decks do we need!!!!
WUBR rogues keeps getting more tools
Thank you for the video. But let's be honest: The commander decks for this set suck.
Most izzet decks do just that. Hazezon is a better desert commander imo.
Why did they choose wild west???????? Why? Why..........
Because people have been clamoring for a magic western set for decades
@AlfredFJones1776 Well at least we are getting it out of our system, lol
It just needs upgrades
Dude look at these comments. Op has no idea what magic is bra
Gonti is best
They really just put hats on them huh?
Nah the gonti deck is great
Everyone will beat down Gonti player first because he can steal your deck
The fact you put the mardu dexk under the desert deck makes me think you have room temp IQ.
I will never understand why critics never understand Mardu strat....
The desert deck is interesting and new. While it may need some tuning to be "good," the fact that it is playing in a space we don't see precons play in often raises its rating. I had the most fun of any of the decks playing it. The Mardu deck felt unoriginal and like 100 other Mardu decks I've seen before, and how it was built was all over the place. Sure, Olivia can be a good commander, but that deck needs a rebuild, not just a tune-up to be both good and interesting. Everyone is going to have their favorites, whether it's the best or not. It's okay to like the least interesting, least powerful of the four. Commander is about fun, and especially precons should be fun, so power, fun, uniqueness, reprint value, and new cards were all considering in the ranking. Maybe next time if you thought a second before leaving a snarky and rude comment, you'd think about what might factor into a ranking outside of just power. (Although the Mardu deck is still the least powerful out of the box in my opinion).
Why THE FUCK do they do this on Mardu Commanders. They overfucking complicate the color scheme. When Mardu comes together it ONLY WANTS TO DESTROY.
Grand Larceny is actually better than Quick Draw;I've played both and the only way Quick Draw is any good is swapping Stella out with Niv-Mizzet, Parun
Amazing, every word of what you just said was wrong.
Quick draw can be easily upgraded with better spells. The precon has just one flaw. It has no clear winning strategy other than copy a Lot of spells when Parun or the token generator are on the field and create a Lot of big tokens with flying
clearly a dum rank
I picked most wanted because of Olivia's art 🫦💕 fk the ranking
