love these two announcing the nominations for SAG Awards. They all should be like this and have fun with it. Makes it fun to watch. I hope they do it again next year. Great job ladies!!!
DanTUtilizer Im not sure what happen with armie hammer, but I know the SAG academy didnt see the post in time. The sag nominations were due before the golden globe nominations were
Hi, there, Matthew. With all due respect, that is incorrect. I was on the SAG nom com this year. The GG deadline was Thursday 12.7 and SAG was 12.9 if via mail and 12.10 if via online. Also, the screeners for The Post were sent to voters but very late in the game (I received mine within the week prior to the voting deadline).
Miss Miscellaneous yes no great acting, anyone could of played those parts and did that well. This is just getting critical acclaim because it take on society. Just a little horror movie. That’s it.
WHERE THE F**K IS THE POST? I know best actor should go to Gary Oldman and best actress should go to Sally Hawkins, but the best cast should be THE POST
*The Big Sick, Get Out, Lady Bird, Mudbound; and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri-until the March 4th telecast comes and goes, expect one of these to become the eventual Best Picture Oscar winner.*
Ummm Hidden Figures won last year and went on to Win no Oscars. Don't count Dunkirk and The Post out just yet. SAG is starting to become slightly obsolete
Gavin48 He is saying that one of those nominees will win best picture, not the winner of best cast will win best picture. This is because every Best Picture winner since Braveheart won has been nominated for this award.
this is all wrong... The nominees should've been: Best Actor in a Leading Role Timothy Chalamet for "Call Me by Your Name" Robert Pattison for "Good Time" Daniel Kaluuya for "Get Out" Harry Dean Stanton for "Lucky" Adam Sandler for "The Meyerowitz Stories" Best Actress in a Leading Role Soraise Ronan for "Lady Bird" Brooklyn Prince "The Florida Project" Frances McDormand for "Three Billboards" Sally Hawkins for "The Shape of Water" (or Rooney Mara for "A Ghost Story") Diane Kruger for "In the Fade" Best Actor in a Supporting Role Willem Dafoe for "The Florida Project" Armie Hammer for "Call Me by Your Name" Benny Safdie for "Good Time" Barry Kheogen for "The Killing of a Scared Deer" Sam Rockwell for "Three Billboards" Best Actress in a Supporting Role Mary J. Blige for "Mudbound" Laurie Metcalf for "Lady Bird" Bria Vinaite for "The Florida Project" Holly Hunter for "The Big Sick" Octavia Spencer for "The Shape of Water" Best Ensemble "Lady Bird" "The Meyerowitz Stories" "The Big Sick" "Mudbound" "The Beguiled"
Ezequiel Genovesi you say that as if it’s a joke to have Sandler on there. Phantom Thread hasn’t even been released yet for any of us to determine whether Day Lewis is one of the best. I mean, does anyone doubt he’ll be good? Daniel Day Lewis has won three of these. Won two academy awards. I always want to see award season do something new and open their eyes to actors, actresses, and filmmakers who did something to ‘wow’ us. Not to discredit Day Lewis bc he is one of our great actors. But I saw something very poignant and touching in Adam Sandler’s performance and I think he damn well deserves the recognition. Same with Robert Pattinson. They’re working on different material. They’re actually losing themselves in the role. That’s why I would prefer seeing their names there.
Ezequiel Genovesi as for Gary Oldman. Saw the movie. Hes a good actor in a bad movie. Oldman has been amazing in way more films in better roles. How many times we gonna award an actor for playing Winston Churchill. Award season loves giving awards to actors who play historical figures. I love Oldman but I don’t think the performance stands out more than the ones I preferably listed. But... hey, just an opinion. The dudes nominated and the actors I would’ve wanted aren’t. So what are we gonna debate here?
Wh Khu he’s good in it but the movie adds no clarity to his character of Winston Churchill. I don’t see anything relatively mesmerizing in his performance. I mean, it’s expected for old man to be great. But just because he’s very good in it doesn’t mean it’s the best performance. The role isn’t written to any lengths. It’s expositional. His performance I think suffers due to that while also adding as much as life to it as he can.
These girls had the time of their lives announcing these nominations lol

Dude have u watched Gary Oldman's Darkest Hour. His performance dwarfs every person on this list
