The level of mastery of itazan on zangief is out of this world 🎉
It's amazing how much Capcom has balanced characters like Zangief and Dhalsim. They used to have so few tools for success that they were almost guaranteed to die against Ryu/Ken or other cheap ass fireball spamming characters.
Oh, they balanced Sim? I was unaware. That's cool. I would give up some of Gief's damage for better oakie, though. Why no banishing flat since 4 is baffling to me. They also still have that stupid leg counter nobody uses.

I'm referring to the sheer, massive disadvantage Gief and Zhalsim had during the earlier SF versions.
Gief started turning the corner when he was given abilities to tank and nullify hits and the fact Dhalsim can now string together huge, high-damage combos instead of relying on one-and-done strategic hits to wear down his opponent goes a long way toward balancing him.
Zangief is so broken... One error and half your bar lost

@@24framedavinci39green hand was never even a particularly good move outside of the EX version in 4. They made him more balanced in 5 and 6 by buffing the other parts of his kit. He’s both less one dimensional now and more thematically consistent. I’ve haven’t missed green hand once.

4:03 this is the lowest damage I've a seen made by Zangief's Screw Piledriver move, even though it's a punish counter as well.
A bug maybe? I've noticed this type of low damage happen occasionally while also being a punish counter. Is it legit or it needs fixing?
