Great to see myself in the film. Walking around behind mark when he is speaking to the camera. Great place. Like thousands of people i been going there for years. Marks is real good friendly bloke.
Great to see the Ace open again. I was there when we rode to the new Ace just across the then traffic lights at Staples Corner on the North Circular…….

I posted this five years ago, not because I am a biker but because I love the history of London. It has attracted many comments; some kind, some not so kind. But what is the state of the Ace Cafe now? Please let me know ...
@@PurityVendetta You may have a point, But the old Spirit will be there if you look hard enough, done it with the Cavern Club in Liverpool, but Spirit is Still there.
I wonder if the Ace Cafe could help me find out what my Dad used to do as he was a racer rocker biker engineer and rode Norton's as even mixed in with Mr Ted Davis of HRD Vincent.
Anyone remember the geezer who used to jump onto the tables and flash his meat & two veg round, ? There were a few nutter used to go down The Ace in the day, it used be right den of iniquity. Last time I was there when it reopened, I met two of my old mates there Les Harris( Racing Spares) and Mole they both came from Stonebridge Park area.. Les past in 2009 Mole now live in Cornwall, he must be in his late seventies now.. Fun days down the Ace, Bee and Dugout..
Na its a load o baloney.. They may have preformed for the media but not out of choice. The Ace was a right dive late at night when all the scum would arrive from there holes. I pick up a bit of posh who was slummin' it from West Kensington once, I will not say anymore on this subject. The Ace was where trucks used to go on he missing list, bike too they were not immuned or nailed down from the light fingerd. The Bee was no place for the clerical types either, there was quit a bit of sculduggery going on up there. In about '68 a geezer turn up with a few Nicked engines straight out of the Meriden, they were snappped up by a few names one got captured and got nine mounth of poridge, a well known face, no names will be given. So all these posers who go Dan The Ace and remember The Bee fink they were a shrines to 50/60s Motorcycling, it a period to be swept under the mat of time.. Bleedin' fun times though..
Wild ain't the half of it.. One Saturday we ended the night on Battersey Bridge, we all got bored with trying too knock the tart of bed five balls for a tanner , ending up over the road at the tea stand on the bridge. There were hundreds of us all make a nuisance and restricting the flow of traffic, eventually plod arrived with a few meat waggons and a few Noddies. It was the most fun I have ever had without being nicked. PC plod was engaged with some likely lad so when his back was turned his bike went over board and landed heavily on the beach with the thames just awash. He went pink with rage after discovering were someone has paked Noddies Bike twenty feet below. All hell raged when the reall heavy mob turn up, all scarpered in differing direction, Me I was still drinking my tea nuffin' to do with me geezer...
Good morning, My name is Kevin O'Korn. I am news producer at WKMG in Orlando, FL. I am looking for permission to use a portion of the video to air during a story about the Ace Cafe coming to Orlando. We would give you on air credit for the video and I can provide you with a link to the newscast to see it afterwards. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance. Kevin
Hi Kevin. That's fine by me but this is an extract from a programme made by the BBC in London so you may need to approach them. The programme's web page is www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0071mkv . Would like to see your final result so please feel free to post a link on this page. Good luck.
Also ruined the 59 club with their money grabbing , that's why 59 club Australia is now a stand alone club & not affiliated in any way with the Ace cafe
Should be renamed to pensioner and mid life crisis cafe. Over priced, full of hardly ableson riders. Best to remember it how it was not the place run by an ex filth.

Thank you so much for this. Brilliant!
I think the last time I was there, was in 2014 on the way back from a vacation in Cornwall. . .

Just an ex copper running a money grabbing business. It's nothing to do with the cafe as a real transport cafe

Loved meeting Mark and having a pint.
the food is expensive and nothing special .~Looks like they will close soon. The idiots have ruined the place
Also ruined the 59 club with their money grabbing , that's why 59 club Australia is now a stand alone club & not affiliated in any way with the Ace cafe
@@robertjeffery4664 You cannot be a standalone club and still use the name 59 Club. That name is a trade mark and is copyrighted.
oc2phish07 Ace doesn’t own the name
I really wanna go there for the atmosphere and show off my car I've done up :)
Went there today nothing special, had a coffee and a bowl of chips which were cold reheated crap.
have a word with them chickings
Now it's ruined by the squids gang & car enthusiast that do donut, burnout, etc.
sadly ace is too far away from iom
Nothing British about it now.... and if you like bikes steer clear on car nights.

Best place to get your wheels stolen 👍🏻
Over rated tourist trap.
